Resenhas

What I like about the drama
- Happy ending ( Look like one)
- Long episodes
- It's available to watch it in youtube (ik it wasn't related to the drama bu I was sort of relieved cuz I don't have to search up)
- It's good to watch when you have nothing to watch
What I don't like about the drama
- Ik, I said I like long episodes well except if it keep dragging. It annoys me when they have to dragged it for like 2 more episodes. (usually long dramas do that which I hate)
- A lot of things we're happening in some episodes which it annoys me as well.
Fun Fact : Rhian (Ramos as Jade Tanchingco). Marian Rivera (The Primetime Queen) was originally cast for the role, but withdrew in April 2015 due to a delicate pregnancy.
Reminder : to watch this drama you gotta have a lot patience, if you don't u might end up dropping this so good luck!

The First and Probably Last Filipino GL That Was Aired In Local TV
The Rich Man’s Daughter is a Filipino telenovela (or lakorn-style drama, as some might say) that aired on local TV, but I watched all 65 episodes on YouTube since I don’t really watch TV anymore. It’s your typical Filipino drama with lots of twists and turns, but I still got hooked. The story revolves around Jade, the only daughter of a super conservative and wealthy businessman. She’s engaged to a guy, but then she meets Althea, an openly lesbian, and that’s when things really start to get intense. The chemistry between Jade and Althea is undeniable. The kind of subtle tension that builds through glances and smiles, not physical touch (because, yeah, almost none of that here). Still, it’s enough to make you feel all the feels. And yes, they kissed in the end, but it got cut off so fast. 😭
One of the main sources of conflict was Jade’s father, who went to extreme lengths even violence just to break them apart. But in the end, he gave in and accepted their relationship. This show became pretty iconic because it’s actually the first and probably last GL drama that ever aired on Philippine TV.
There were quite a few filler scenes, and some of the episodes were dragging but I get it — it aired on national TV and ran for 65 episodes, so they probably had to stretch it a bit. The production quality and cinematography were excellent, and both lead actresses delivered amazing performances. Due to its success and the chemistry of Rhian Ramos and Glaiza De Castro, they will have an upcoming GL movie this year.
If you're into slow-burn romance with emotional tension and high drama, this one’s worth checking out, just don’t expect a lot of physical affection.
