Jin GuangYao is in disbelief that Nie HuaiSang has been hiding and plotting his schemes for all these years. However, Nie HuaiSang continues to deny. Jin GuangYao then pushes the sword deeper into himself and cries that he has never once wanted to harm Lan XiChen. Jin GuangYao then suddenly grabs him towards the coffin and let his blood spill onto the Stygian Tiger Seal. This triggers the temple to fall apart and the others hurry to escape. Jin GuangYao then pushes Lan XiChen away and Lan WangJi brings him outside as he watches the debris falling around Jin GuangYao. Outside, everyone watches as the temple finally fell apart. Lan XiChen and Nie HuaiSang sit right outside the entrance as Lan XiChen feels depressed about Jin GuangYao and also doubts Nie HuaiSang. On the other hand, the last mark on Wei WuXian's arm from Mo XuanYu's ritual has disappeared, indicating that Wei WuXian has finally avenged him. The other disciples and Lan QiRen finally arrive to aid them. When Jin Ling returns from taking Fairy out, Wei WuXian is nowhere to be found. After asking Lan JingYi, Jin Ling goes to look for him but Jiang Cheng stops him. Jiang Cheng then begins to leave but Jin Ling knows that he has something to tell Wei WuXian too. This leads Jiang Cheng to recall the time when Wei WuXian was on the brink of being captured by the Wen Sect. It turns out that Jiang Cheng ended up in their hands because he acted as a lure to distract them. Wei WuXian and Lan WangJi are out in the forest, and Wen Ning and Lan SiZhui catch up with them. Lan SiZhui then begins to recite his childhood memories to prove to Wei WuXian that he is Wen Yuan. The two finally reunites after so many years; Lan SiZhui breaks into tears and hugs him. Later, Wen Ning tells Wei WuXian thay he and Lan SiZhui will visit QiShan. When Wei WuXian offers to come along, Wen Ning refuses and wants to walk his own path and make his own decision from now on. The four then part ways and Wei WuXian starts to wonder where they shall go next. But Lan WangJi does not move. After, they meet Nie HuaiSang outside the Cloud Recesses and Wei WuXian indirectly tells him not to associate himself with evil people. When Nie HuaiSang leaves, Lan WangJi asks Wei WuXian why he did not ask him about the truth. But that is of no use anymore. On the mountains, the two-part ways. When Wei WuXian is playing on his flute, he hears Lan WangJi calling his name at the end of the song. He then slowly turns around and smiles. (Source: Wikipedia)

Five Stars

The ending here is definitely the better one out of the two.
I am not going to mention any spoilers, just want to say that the last scene here shows Lan WangJi's true feelings for Wei WuXian.

A Must-watch, a masterpiece...!!!

Fabulous acting by all the actors especially Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan, brilliant cinematography and kudos to the entire team to make the MDZS novel a bookmark in the history of BL series. Though there are not BL scenes, the undeniable chemistry by the two lead actors, eye expressions and body language speak love more than anything. This series truly deserves all the awards and recognition...!!!

Mind blowing!!!

I chanced upon this drama thanks to my love of classical Chinese music. I was, and still am, mesmerised by the music that I read the comments. That's when I realized it was the soundtrack from this C-drama— The Untamed. The title was intriguing, seductively beckoning me to wander off and search for it. Once I started watching, I couldn't stop! Food and sleep were abandoned in lieu of watching this. I spent many nights watching, enjoying— just breathing in the story. And if I'm not watching it, I'm listening to its soundtrack. LOLThe story was equally captivating. Everything about the drama was absolutely beautiful. I joined countless shedding tears for oh so many heart-wrenching moments. The scene where Wen Ning revealed to Jiang Cheng about the golden core—damn! (to name a few). The actors and actresses played their characters so very well. How Xiao Zhan aka Wei Ying look with red teary eyes or glare with anger or look furious made many a scene oh-so-real. I’m rambling on of course, so much to say about The Untamed. I thoroughly enjoyed every second of every episode. Pausing and playing back just to relive one excellent scene after another, just to take in every words uttered.

Unparalleled

Excellent castOutstanding character arcsBeautiful and haunting soundtrackThe subtle nuances and hidden gems went beyond bromance. Well-developed plot line, the leads and many secondary characters were outstanding. The lack of physical intimacy took away nothing from this series and in fact, added to its allure. Trust me, I’m no prude and I intend to read the translated novel however the beauty is in their interactions. XZ and WYB were excellent in their conveyance of care and affection. The subtlety of WYB’s expressions cannot be overstated.THIS is how you trump the censorship, this is how you stick it to them. The only con is that it ended.

An endless summer

There was never a dull moment. It's totally addictive. The main characters are wonderful and the supporting are great aswell. Totally love the story. The BL content of the book where this was adopted was replaced by brotherhood, loyalty and wonderful friendship. It's definitely worth watching!

Not really satisfied in the end but its really good though

At the end, to be honest its good but at least it should shown the face of Lan Zan, when he called wei ying at the top of the mountain... When wei ying smiled, i know that he smiled at lan zan...❤

THERE WILL BE SPOILERS IN MY REVIEW!

I love this drama so much!!!!The acting is phenomenal (since the romance is censored, the characters mostly rely on facial expressions to show their feelings for one another and the relationship between the main leads is shown really beautifully and other relationships as well. The characters are inspiring and admirable. WWX is a man with strong morals and believes in doing whatever it takes to protect innocents, even if it's by unethical means. He chooses to go down the path of demonic cultivation in order to protect innocent people and to survive after losing his golden core LW believed in WWX even though almost everyone turned against him. He believed in WWX’s heart and the promise they made together. After losing him for 16 years, he stayed by his side, hesitant to leave even for an hour, and protects him, even standing up to his Uncle in order to stay by the side of the man he loves so much. Jiang Cheng,Yanli and Wei WuXian have a very deep sibling relationship, despite WWX not being their blood brother. JC and WWX both sacrificed their golden core to protect one another. Yanli is the best sister ever!! She loved her siblings so much no matter what, she never blamed wwx for her husband’s death. She runs to the battlefield because she wanted to tell WWX that she didn't blame him, still treats him as her little brother, and later dies protecting him. She, like LWJ believed in WWX and never turned against him. I also love the relationship between Wen Ning, Wen Qing, and WWX. Wen Ning is always loyal to WWX after he helps him once. Wen Qing helps WWX despite knowing the risks and sacrifices herself to protect him. She's an amazing woman with a strong heart. The music is also beautiful and makes me so many emotions when I listen to them. they also fit the characters who sing them. The story of this drama is so beautiful yet so tragic. I will never get over how amazing this drama is!! It’s the best drama to ever exist!!!

Five Stars

This is the best bromance drama ever and thus is coming from someone who doesn’t like bromance . If you read the book or know something happened between then they you can see the love between them it so cute that you forgot this is a bromance . Oh and the cute story of lan yuan and how he is pretty much the kid of them. But it is sad when everyone started to hate on Wei Ying but the only one that was always there for him is lan wang ji and his sister but sadly she passed away ?.But seriously if you’re someone you is begging in bl drama but want something for beginners this is the one for you. You will love the cemetery is so beautiful

Start And You Won't Stop

I am a fan of the novel and the animated adaption, but this! This Drama takes my love for this story, the characters and the world it takes me to, on a whole nother level.
But let me start with the cast:

I think you couldn't find anyone better for the main role of Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji than Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo.

They were the perfect, PER-FECT conclusion to how I imagined them in my head when I read the novel.
They way they portrayed their characters was very accurate especially Xiao ZHAN. And let me tell you something:

THIS MAN HAS TALENT!!!

I got so addicted to his acting and especially his smile gosh.

The same goes for Wang Yibo. Even though his character wasn't expressing much and had more or less a resting b. face throughout the drama, the moments where he had to express himself and let it show are just scary good. I felt his pain after letting go. Sob.

The same goes for every other actors and actresses who played a role in this series. There where some good one and there where some bad but to be honest...i didn't care much. As long as the story kept going.

But when you pay close attention to some actors you can see them grow throughout the series. It was lovely to see how some grew with their roles and explored how far they can go with their character.

Especially Jiang Cheng. He just stayed in my mind the entire time. At first negatively, because some of his crying scene were just...
Yeah... I cried of holding back my giggles. But oh did he prove me wrong as the drama went on.

Who also stayed in my mind was Lan Yuan. He acted in such a gentle and sweet way that he brought my inner moma bear instinct out. The same goes for Wen Ning. Not gonna lie, Wen Ning had me face-palming. A lot!

But boy oh boy did I have some great times and big laughter with some scenes. They stayed as true as possible to the novel and that was just so awesome to watch. At first it was hard watching the very first few episode and I kinda got anxious and annoyed, because it was so weak with the delivery of the story.
But then with time (I guess it became good for me around episode 12) it became better and better and the story continued to thrive with no holding back. You just had to stay for the next episode to know what will happen to all of the characters and their respected lives.

The World they created, especially the burial mound, was just great to see on the screen. Finally, someone gave them words and descriptions life.
My favorite location scene are probably The lotus pier and where the Lan Clan and the Jin Clan reside. Every single location had their own flare to match the distinctive views and living styles of each clan.

And then there is the Burial Mound.
Hate it.
As in its so good that I hate to live there. But our boy Wei Wuxian had to for years. So even though it's fictional, I tip my hat before you.

All in all, I give it 9.5 for this re-watch worthy drama. And I sincerely hope there will be a second season with the same actors, because I need more of everything.

Thanks for reading this, well trashy review ;D
