Old Madam Yuan accuses Jiu Chen in front of the emperor and his court. During the emotional outburst, Jiu Chen has an icy disease relapse and Ling Xi secretly treats his hand during the melee. The servants in Fu Yun Hall begin to quit leaving Ling Xi, Hua Yan and Na Guang Zi the ones most loyal to Jiu Chen. Ling Xi recues a mortal dog from certain death and names him Xiao Bai. Ling Yue believes her daughter is still alive. She tries to stop Jing Xiu from executing family members of a tribe.

Back at Fuyun Hall and the God of War is all shy around Lingxi. Jiuchen always looked after himself & fended off trouble alone so to have a lowly fairy try to protect a supreme god is refreshing. Lingxi is starting to show that she stands for what is right that her principals are steadfast and this is affecting Jiuchen's caution of her.
