Cream, a bright personality with a dark streak somehow manages to make a connection with the secretive K. As high school classmates, they share their loneliness, get close quickly, and fill the emptiness in each other. Cream moves into K’s place and they depend on each other like a family or lovers. Years go by, and K works for a record company and Cream becomes a lyricist, but they still live together, neither a couple nor friends. Diagnosed with leukemia, K is hesitant to reveal his illness because he does not want to hurt Cream by leaving her alone. Not knowing any of this, Cream starts dating another man, eventually accepting his marriage proposal. As a Taiwanese remake of a Korean film, More Than Blue is familiar with twists and a melodramatic story, but it stimulates tears by strongly evoking Taiwan′s unique emotions. Cast & Credits
This movie didn't even play in the theatre in my country.
I love this movie a lot... for someone who didn't really like melodrama this movie sure is very moving to me. The cast was brilliant... Jasper and Ivy's chemistry felt so real.
Of course its a remake from the korean movie with the same title.
Didn't guess the ending was that way.. but it really shows what true love really was. Tho her decision in the end was foolish.. but I guess its better than living without her other half.... (this kind of feeling is really hard to understand)
Storyline was very good.
Acting and casts were perfect.
Tears level... surely high.
Music... well if you understand Chinese,,, the wording of the main song is really moving and poetic.. it clearly describe the sadness of one's feeling.
Overall... I would give this movie a 9 star rating.. Will I be watching it again? well sure.. if I am able to find it subs online.
I really like Jasper Liu's acting as well as Ivy Chen's acting.. they never disappoint in their acting and movies/dramas...
Looking forward for their chance of working together again.
Hope those who will be watching this movie.. will enjoy it as much as I do.
Before I dive into the film, I found out that this is a remake from 2009 of the same name with Lee Bo Young, Kwon Sang Woo, and Lee Bum Soo. I haven't watched the original one but I'll probably will sometime.
This film left me with bittersweet feeling (mostly bitter but not the extent that I hate it); I didn't cry throughout the whole film, I guess I just felt sad about it but not to the point I cried my heart out; there are times when I thought the characters are selfish and didn't communicate well. There are thoughts of what if; what if she just talks to him about it or what if he just admits it to her because maybe they could have more time to talk it out but I guess that's just a wishful narrative of mine. The characters always say they are each other's family but if they are really a family, they could have talked about it and maybe one of them could be saved but we can't deny the character's background as the side characters understood that both of them connected with their loneliness that rather they wallow into it,they facade it with happiness and they became each other's savior during that process.
