A port town set in a small bay in Mie Prefecture is close to Kumano. Many people come for the Kumano pilgrimage route which is a designated World Heritage site. However, barely anyone comes to such a quiet town. Childhood friends Minbu Tomo, Azeyanagi Natsu and Ujihara Shiho live here. They are singles in their late 40s and have been living together for close to a decade. The three women produce and sell local folk art. In the day, the kitchen of a refurbished old Japanese-style house resembles a cafe. In the night, it resembles a bar. Then one day, a young man on a solo trip from Tokyo arrives at the house of Tomo, Natsu, and Shiho.
