So crazy it became good

Watched this in 2024, just 5 years after it's release but it felt like it was older. It's a melodrama that would try to illicit as much water from your tear ducts as possible.

Story is simple and could probably be shown in fewer episodes. Mari is an abused woman who ran away from Inwook her obsessive CEO husband and asked the plastic surgeon Jungwoon to change her face. He made her look like his dead wife. Sharing their sorrows with each other the began to fall in love. But does Jungwoon really love Mari or just the face of his dead wife? And what about Inwook who would stop at nothing to find his wife and who seem to recognize Mari despite her changed face?

Because it was stretched out to 40 episodes, the cat and mouse game seemed repetitive at times but remained entertaining and unpredictable until the last episode. The actor who played Inwook was so good. His visuals are what you would expect for a charismatic and powerful CEO, his tortured face as he begged for Mari's love was so pitiful, but it can turn so scary when he goes crazy. I also really liked the damsel in distress acting of the before surgery FL. The rest of the actors were just okay. The after surgery FL seemed to show the same expressions which distracted me a little but I've learned to just ignore it. I liked this story and the fact that titles are based on the meaning of flowers, however I wished they made the FL more independent, maybe learning some self defense instead of just waiting to be rescued.

Bad

More like "Love in Stupidity"! It's just a bad melo. If they wanted to make it driven by stupidity then they should've doubled down and went all the way in at the very least. I would also very much prefer if Park Ha Na took the "after surgery" role instead of Park Han Byul. At least that would've made the drama a bit worthwhile.

Terrible characterization; unrealistic plot line ; one dimensional acting

One of the worst kdramas I have ever seen. I hatedthe female lead who was afraid for all throughout the 40 episodes; the ridiculousness of storyline -complete face change in a month and surgery with no swollen mess at least! So unrealistic. The coincidences are unbelievable; the actor who portrayed the husband has only one expression - angry and trying hard to look intense; the surgeon who looks like gay - I thought that’s what he was at first a gay surgeon. The character s are all one dimensional. The ost was soooo bad- felt like the 70’s music overly dramatic and so oldies. Don’t waste your time on this. I’m being kind with a half star rating.

Everything in this drama screams...for help

for comfort... in pain... in loneliness... in sadness... in desperation.

The aesthetics in this drama are no joke; both music and visuals. It's art.

I found their stories heartbreaking.

Though you watch the drama in sadness, you also watch it in hope.

The story is dark but the people are pretty clear and painfully nice and good.

A melodramas with some suspense.
It’s something that you like or you don’t.

She was his sunshine, his way of coming back to life, a way to correct his regrets.
He was her savior, her comfort, her light, her sunshine.
They were made for each other. They were the opposites of whom they used to be with.

The music is amazing. It felt like older melodramas.

The episodes flew by.

It's an overlooked drama. Well made story. Intense.
