Two people are just drawn to each other despite social norms dictating that they should not be together. The notion of do you stay loyal to your family or follow your heart is displayed in both dramas.

Its storyline is a bit messier
but the overall vibe is the same
ps: there is cheating so if that bothers you a lot I wouldn't watch it. since its not morally correct

A bit similar plot about younger ML & older FL who attracted to each other but FL already married but FL & ML had an affair. If you like this kind of genre is a must watch drama. Yamapii is an eye candy for sure.

A love story affair with a bit different storyline & plot with mature sexual content but both is worth watching drama. If you like mature love affairs story I definitely recommend this drama.

Kaori works as a design planner for a housing manufacturer. She has been having a secret affair with her married boss Fuyuki for years. Although Kaori can't see a future with Fuyuki, she still loves him and continues their relationship. One day Haruto, the newly-transferred young and hot New York interior designer finds them in a compromising position. Subsequently, Kaori and Haruto are teamed up on design project. Both dramas are similar for their cheating aspect, both FL's are not satisfied with the relationship they have with their husband, thus, looking or accidentally looked at another man that appreciates their value more as a woman. They did not find the "other" man, they just happened to be in the right situation at the right time, and the "other" man caught their attention. The difference is that H has a sad ending, but OTWTTA has a happy ending, though not seen, just implied. And another thing, H is kinda steamy, but OTWTTA is more conservative, I don't know how they did it, but it came out nicely and sweet. H is also sweet and nice, but more sexy in my opinion.

Love affairs, cheating & betrayal is the main theme in both dramas. In both dramas ML having an affair with FL. In Liar FL before doesn't have any affair with anyone but in Perfect Crime FL having an affair with her boss at her workplace & ML found out about this & ML try approach & seduce her. Both of them falling in love deeply. Both dramas adapted from manga/comic book. Somehow I prefer Perfect Crime than Liar.
