3.0/10 - Pretty rough.

I have actually gotten very accustomed to the campy style of Thailand dramas. Especially since I seem to like the crazy-far-fetched stories and normally over the top comedy. That was the whole appeal of Boy For Rent. The whole concept is silly, and let us be honest. If this service existed in real life for these ladies I doubt this is how it would be used or would go. The innocent concept of this very *cough* dirty thing. I mean these guys are really male escorts, and the next step up from that is a gigolo!

That said this was way too much. It was a very rough start. Clearly I have to get used to Smile. I hate it when they make this type of character over act and be just . . . well crazy annoying. Though I've come to understand this is how they do a lot of the women leads or side female leads. This was just too much for me and I found Smile's whole bits annoying. After all. If she's so innocent does she really want a player? One that requires she gains experience by hiring a Boy For Rent to do so? That said it is the whole concept behind it. One girl wanting to gain experience and the other needing a boy to make her boyfriend jealous. So of course the the triangle is painfully obvious.

Liz is the standard cool and cold chic. With lot's of money, but her rockband is a fun surprise! She has a boyfriend she suspects is cheating on her, or at least isn't in their relationship anymore. Badz whom still says he has a girlfriend. So Liz decides to hire Kyro to make Badz jealous. Kyro happens to be the guy who turned down Smile because she didn't have fire/sexy! Kyro is clearly interested in Liz. Drama ensues.

Overall there's a lot to be desired. Like Liz and Badz as an actually couple so we feel torn about them, but deliciously conflicted as the couples start to fall in place. Because it's obvious how the characters are gonna pair up. The roommate of Smile's is more annoying than Smile! Not to mention the whole enigma around how these boys are working for Boys For Rent and more importantly for Badz why.
