Justice of The Dead: The Passable Sequel
The drama had a good mix of cases and personal attachments which helped raising the tension and to have higher stakes. Most of the cases were interesting and entertaining. On the other hand, season 2 cases had less personal attachments other than 2 incidents, one around the middle and another for the last case. Stella existence was problematic to the drama, both the character and the actress. She was out of place and her scenes were insufferable since her introduction. She was added to the drama as a fun and quirky element but that backfired immediately. Sally was her replacement in season 2, the drama attempted to replicate Stella but ended creating a worse version which made her scenes even more insufferable. I can't stress enough how insufferable both of these characters were. Season 2 had another unsuccessful addition, that is the character Do Ji Han, his character took away from the drama rather than adding or enhancing any value. Judging by what they did with season 2, It's preferable to not get another sequel. Unfortunately, they left a lot of threads open for a possible continuation. On an unrelated note, the corpses in season 2 had more censoring than season 1.Was this review helpful to you?

Lee Yi Kyung's entry, the best part <3<3<3<3<3
I absolutely adore this serial, the plot, the twists, the music, the acting, the direction and what not. The entire drama is amazing but the part where Lee Yi Kyung steps in is the perfect and my favorite most. It's really sad though that Detective Cha Soo Ho wasn't the main role and a regular cast member like the first part. He would've upgraded the drama's hype and fun to high standards. Overall, this one is a must watch guys <3 Lee Yi Kyung, We Love you so much. S01 was better
S01 was good.S02 was nowhere close to S01 story quality.
If they're going to do S03:
* I also prefer Stella, no offense Sally.
* Bring back Lt. Cha.
* Don't repeat the S02 mistakes:
a. No conclusion to the S02 arc.
b. The individual cases weren't that good, and consumed 2-3 episodes. Some of those should've consumed 1 to 2 episodes at most.
c. Seriously? Trying to string a romance with Dr. Baek? He still hasn't resolved his emotional pain, and other ghosts from his past, and you tried to create a romance with the character?
d. What happened to character development? The story Dr. Baek is not yet over. S02 should've shown how he's trying to resolve the other ghosts from his past. But… nope… nothing. He got stuck as a paper or machine.
e. The list goes on.
Again… S01 was good, and then S02 was meh.
If you want to do multiple Seasons:
1. always conclude the Season Arc.
2. never forget to continue character development.
3. build the relationship between the characters… not by inserting romance where it isn't needed. Relationship is not just about romance.
4. Multi-episode arcs should at most only have 2 episodes. If you want to do a 3-episode arc, it should be your best plot, not same old dull moments.
5. It doesn't have to be linear. You can insert a case or two that has nothing to do with the Season Arc, and only makes sense in the season finale as part of the cliffhanger. A way to prepare for S03.
Argh. I rarely do this type of feedback because I believe that writers have a story in their mind already that just doesn't fit in one season. But there are rare times when things have to be said, especially when they did well in the first season.
The way the second season was executed, it was as if the network demanded a S02 but it was never in the plan of the writer(s). Something like, “They want us to make S02! Get everyone here and let's come up with something, anything!”
Anyway… they need to repeat the formula for S01, not S02, when they start to work for S03. They don't need to surpass S01. A good story and execution doesn't mean you have to do better than your most successful Season.

A must-watch crime and detective drama
This season is definitely better than the first one in my opinion. The first episode started off with a bang and it immediately got me hooked.Even though the story wasn't too focussed on the relationship between Eun Sol and Baek Beom anymore, I didn't really mind it. It felt smoothly developed in the first season and the second season kept it that way. It felt like they were colleagues, which is what they were supposed to be. I'm glad that they didn't add unnecessary love relationships in the main cast aside from some side characters because this show didn't need that. It stuck to the crime solving and it didn't lose it's focus. Even though the reason as to why some of the older cast left the team wasn't explained too well, the new cast seemed to be better to me because they were more serious and that fit better in this season.
The cases were more interesting than the ones in the first season and the twists were great thanks to that. I found a specific villain interesting and liked their part in the story a lot. Some might find it unfortunate that Eun Sol's role wasn't that big this season and that she didn't really seem like a main character anymore, but other characters got a time to shine and I appreciated that. I feel like everyone has gotten their fair share of screentime and stories explained this way.
Cons:
- Unlike the first season, Baek Beom started to irritate me at some point in this one. He doesn't want to jump to conclusions so that's why he doesn't say much before knowing the full story, but at least getting explanations in some parts would've been nice. All we got was "don't write fiction" whenever someone asked a legitimate question and someone else tried to explain it because Baek Beom kept everything to himself until the end of the cases. Even though it's part of his personality, it got more annoying than it was in the first season.
- Every case had the same pattern to solving it eventually and it got somewhat predictable.
- After the time the team worked with Baek Beom they still don't trust his ability on solving cases when he's helped solving all of them? Understandable that the team doesn't have a lot of time and that they want to solve the cases as fast as possible but they'll have to wait for him to be finished regardless so all of the screaming for him to hurry up inbetween was unnecessary.
Even with the negative points considered, this drama was a great watch and it kept me interested until the end. Hopefully it will get a third season in the future.

Worth watching
I love this drama. Both the seasons are very good but it should have been ended in 2 nd season. I had known that there were 2 season so I started watching but didn't hope that this is not the end of it. The makers hanging all the fans in curiousity. I feel that every season should have different storyline other than continueing one story through all the seasons. I know that there are small cases in between them but at the end of the seasons we can't feel at ease knowing that criminal didn't get cought. I hope third season will be aired soon and this time story won't continue further. Was this review helpful to you?

I'm quite picky when it comes to detective, serial dramas. I only liked a few and dropped a couple. I was even hesitant to start this but knowing that No Min Woo is among the cast, it made me curious. It's been such a long time since I have watched any of his works. And since this is season 2, I supposed that this is a good drama. So, I tried watching 2 episodes. And I liked it. Then a couple more, then No Min Woo aka Dr. K appeared then, bam, I loved it already. The series was really thrilling and nail-bitting. The only downside when I was watching this was the waiting for the new episodes. Hence, I decided to watch for season 1 just to keep me busy while waiting for the upcoming episodes. Now after I watched everything, I understand why they made it this far and why many though silently, liked the series.
I won't say much about season 1 since I am reviewing for season 2 but let me just say this, Season 2 definitely is better than season 1. Its much thrilling and the way the cases relate to one another is fascinating. The wrapped everything nicely, almost no major loopholes. However, I noticed that near the end, the main actress got lesser screen time and her character got pushed to the side with the story focusing too much on the men.
The was a big surprise to me. A pleasant surprise to be exact. So I am truly hoping for a season 3 with the whole cast and please let No Min Woo be in it.
Lastly, I let me say that this drama is one of the few wherein I really liked all the casts. From the NFS, to the prosecutor side, even to the bad people, even Oh Man Sung, haha. Their comradeship, the acting, everyone just clicks and you can see that they are enjoying their work.
I know that Baek Bum and Prosecutor Eun are the main leads here, but Dr. K rose in this drama. No Min Woo truly made an impact on his portrayal of a great doctor with a dual personality.
Overall, I truly enjoyed it. It was a very informative, thrilling, cheer rooting drama. I learned so much from the forensics I was always waiting for their opinions and result of the examination. It is my first time watching anything as close as this - you know the forensic side so its quite an eye-opener to me.
Cheers!

This drama really never failed to excite me. I have loved the season 1, but I loved this even more.??For those who like kdramas that deal with crimes and mysteries, this one is the best. This is really a great written plot, and will really excite you. No boring episodes. The cases that they have are very insightful.
All the actors & actresses really played their part well. All of them are the best in their part. Of course, those who are playing major characters are more noticeable since their playing a major character, but I won't name them all since all of them really did a great job, even those who are playing minor characters. By the way, I felt sad that I haven't seen Stephanie Lee that much in this season.
No Min Woo is very noticeable. His long hair made him more handsome, and the character he played made him more appealing??? I really cried at what happened to you at the last episode??
The chief prosecutor is really effective as a villain -- he's really getting into my nerves????
I can't wait for the season 3. I hope it will have more season, maybe till season 10 or 30, just like CSI?????
I love you all!!! ???? hope everybody will be there in the next season -- and I mean everybody??

I feels like I've never seen better series than this before. I love Baek Beom he is so rude in a cute way. He's get out..... I love them ???? Dr. Jang never could eat his meal in this season. I don't know why others says that Sally is boring and annoying, she was good.
This is not a romance drama so there is not any romance at all. Maybe a slight crush from some character towards another character but it is not that big deal as the drama is about solving the mystery behind why the people have died.
