Story:
Its a standard romantic comedy and doesn't stand out. This doesn't make it a terrible show just one kdrama fans have seen before

Acting/Cast:
The actors and characters are all amazing. Each character is intriguing and the actors portrayed them well. My favorite was Kim Soo, his story was very compelling and the actor Seo Jihoon does a great job

Music/ OST:
Amazing! Brilliant! The best part of the whole show! I saved the how soundtrack as soon as I finished the show. Even if you don't watch the show listen to the soundtrack is so beautiful

Overall:
I thought I'd have more to say, but really its not a terrible show nor the best.

I’ve wanted to watch this because the poster seemed interesting. The first episodes are nice. I was glad to see Kim Min Jae and Gong Seung Yeon. The story is great. I love the turn of events in Seo Ji Hoon’s (Soo’s) life – it was quite a unique plot twist. The story about matchmaking was a good and fresh topic. However, I hope it was carried out more effectively. I was wondering why, the casts are great, but I really felt bored. Too sad, the story was really good, but I guess the transition of events bored me, and it also confused me as well.

Kim Min Jae was a great actor for me, but I guess this drama quite underestimated his skills. His acting used to be emotionally moving, but I wasn’t moved in this drama at all. The character suited him anyway, however, I wish someday, he’ll have a warrior role – just something to show a different side of him.

I remembered Gong Seung Yeon more in Six Flying Dragons. Her feminine and delicate role suited her perfectly. However in this drama, she showed a different side of her. I didn’t expect that she can take a character that is totally opposite to what she has in Six Flying Dragons, and still can act it wonderfully. She was very beautiful, still, her beauty is more noticeable when she’s feminine and finesse.

I pity the king (Seo Ji Hoon) the most. My heart broke for him the most.

Though it didn’t end happily for everyone, but I’m glad that everyone was satisfied with what they have. The ending is good and hopeful.

Cute Storyline

I actually liked the storyline. The actors and actresses made this story cute. Two handsome leads MinJae and WooSeok did show they can play in a romantic crazy story. I researched MinJae and I'm impressed with his dancing he is known as a rapper in Korea's music industry. I will be watching more of the artistry of MinJae for sure. I love the actress Gong Seung Yeon who grabs the strong women roles. I have seen her in other roles and she becomes who she is playing.

Others who view this drama, please don't hate.

One of my favourite Kim min jae works

To be honest I started this drama seeing Kim min Jae in the cover. No hesitation I started watching expecting not the best but I would get through it for him. However this drama had me hooked. Finished it in four days, each episode with aspects that weren’t boring and cliche. Yoong soo’s storyline for example was a twist I didn’t expect but was riveted watching, and min jaes’s scene crying for his father nearly broke my heart. The cast in this drama acted phenomenally with one of the best minor storylines I’ve watched to date. 9.5 stars

Decent

The only reason why I gave it a high rating is because it has a lot of slice of life, comedy, and emotional moments. Otherwise, there are a lot of plot holes like the Minister rebelling for a prince who is never shown in the drama [Prince Yeonwoo] and the whole father-son dynamics, like they really need to sit down properly and talk instead of blaming. The romance aspect was very intriguing and it keeps you wondering how it will end till the very end. Both ML and FL are shown to be capable and smart which is pretty rare in drama where one [usually FL] is totally oblivious or dumb. even while knowing everything. I felt sad for the king as his love for FL was sincere and he never actually got have autonomy until the very end but ML and FL deserve one another as they genuinely fall in love over time. Other characters had their own version of a tragedy which was mess up because it feels like the plot was all over the place.

The thing I like most about this drama is the leads aren't stupid. There are no face-palm moments and you wouldn't suffer on watching them fall into traps or being manipulated because of their weaknesses/emotions.

The lead guy, Ma Hoon, was seriously a breathe of fresh air. He knows what's up and is seriously doing something about it.

GaeTong? She didn't appeal to me at first, but I began to admire her as time goes by. People rant about how the love triangle here is not strong enough and the love story was predictable. But yeah... it is. Because we have a female lead who fucking knows what she wants and who she loves. No wishy washy I can't make up my mind between these two hot guys.

The King, Soo, was a dear. I love him at first sight. I like him less when he became a king but that is just because, Ma Hoon, manage to save me from the second lead syndrome.

The second love team, Joon and Ji Hwa, crept their way into my heart that by the end of the series, I'm shipping them more than the main love team.

YoongSo was the only one who is a head ache on this series. And I dont even mean that in a bad way. This guy is adorable stupid for his choices but he had his reason so you'll have to forgive him for that.

Anyway, the plot wasn't strong but the characters individually will make their mark. It was an enjoyable watch.

Enjoyable

So whilst this wouldn't win any awards, it mixes comedy with drama and I didn't greatly dislike anything about it.
The cast are very good and the story, whilst bending what's anything near plausible at times, is still a decent watch.
If accepted for what it is, a piece of light entertainment, with romance, silliness, surprise guest roles, lots of clichés and some mild threat, then it really can be enjoyed.
I did feel the King was a little hard done by, but it was neatly tied up at the end. Really not that bad a watch.

Chaotic and confused

The show felt like the scriptwriter started with a clear concept and then changed her mind midway through. So the show became more and more chaotic and confused. The backstories of the protagonists only made it worse. Apparently, the scriptwriter completely lost the story.

Not to mention all the illogical stuff! For example, when Gae Dong starts her training to become a noblewoman, she can't eat with chopsticks. A few episodes later, Kim Soo takes her to her old house and says, "This is where we ate in the past, look, there are still YOUR chopsticks!"

It was all too much, from the look of the boys to the loud and over-the-top acting of Gong Seung Yeon.

I was looking forward to the show, bravely held out until the end, but unfortunately can't recommend it.

Lovely cast, great costumes, enjoyable music, and a lively story that edges over into the fluffy zone doesn't quite add up at the end, at least for me.

Part of the problem is that the ML showed us the most emotion when his rat of a father killed himself. The, contrasted with the young king's steady and answering loyalty to the FL made the ending all fluff, and little emotional impact. Though I liked the ML just fine, I still wanted FL to get over what was really a physical attraction only (the ML didn't let her see any of his true self) and go back to Soo.

The ending flatlined with the look-at-me-I'm-so-clever marriage with the German speaking guy (whose German was really good, unlike our Flower Agency guy who clearly had no idea what he was saying) when what we truly needed was resolution after the devastating revelation about Go Young Soo. We really NEEDED to see that meeting with the king, and a glimpse of his new life.

Only 1 good actor and beautiful scenery

Only SEO Ji hoon comes accross as a convincing character

Kim Ming Jae always looks cold stuck up in every drama that he plays ,the same boring look , absolutely unsuitable for a romantic drama

Going Seun Yeong tries to be funny but isn't.
Tried to be romantic she falls flat.
She will only cast well as a police officer, she has the toughness look not the feminity or charm

The story is only interesting with the palace political maneuver and one would side the King instantly.

Those other sidelines match making are pathetic, unnecessary, trivia

I kept forwarding whenever these appears
.
The colour of the scenes one of the best serenity and beauty ,in Korean dramas.

Flowers Over Boys

What might have seemed an interesting premise on the surface turned out to be the farthest thing from that, it crashed and burned in flames. The cast? They might as well have been cardboard cutouts. Pretty faces without a soul. Do Joon gave nothing but extremely uncomfortable creepy vibes made my skin crawl! The characters were like shape-shifters, their motivations changing faster than the weather. I couldn't latch onto them or the storyline. The drama also featured one of the worst love triangles with the highlight being the abomination of this female lead character.

Matchmaking Has Never Been so original, and fun!

What an interesting idea, a group of men running a matchmaking agency. Loved this premise. They had the brains and money behind the business, the charmer, but also an intellect who knew how to get the ladies to provide him much needed tea/gossip and connections to do his job and then they had the fashionista who was responsible for the brides looking lovely on their big day.

The guys had their successful business, but then came Gae-ttong to shake things up. She was rough around the edges but ultimately had a good heart and made for a great addition to the team. Her story was interesting in that she and her fiancé were once clients of the agency, but fate changed all of that with her being left abandoned and in need of help. The owner of the agency stepped in to help and things progressed from there. What also made this interesting was that the marriage matches were nicely intertwined with the political power plays going on at the palace.

I felt bad for Lee Soo, the new king, and Gae-ttong’s former fiancé. For he was forced into a life he did not want and tried his best to recapture what he had with Gae-ttong, but once it was made clear that she no longer wanted a future with him, his attempt to force the issue made him less endearing. Thankfully he eventually came to his senses and backed off.
Though Do Joon was deeply into Ji-hwa, I could not stand her. She was not a good person at all. I thought he could’ve done so much better than her.

The ML/FL had great chemistry. Their love story was very well-done. I was so pleased with their ending. Even better, all the individuals working at the agency had interesting backstories that were nicely worked into the stories of the series.
My only gripe, despite the show doing a good job tying the matched marriages to the power plays at the palace, the power plays on their own could’ve been stronger. The palace drama in the long run was not well written or thought out. Still, this was a great series that I thoroughly enjoyed and will be one that I will frequently rewatch.
