I have seen this film on countless best Asian horror lists and finally decided to watch it. Besides Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl this has to be the worst Asian film I have ever had the displeasure to watch. If the synopsis seems weird that's because it is and not in a good way-it doesn't really make sense when you watch it. It's a major problem when I have to look up the plot online because I didn't fully understand what was going on. The biggest crime that this film commits is that it's painfully boring-I have always found pacing to be an issue in a lot of Asian horror films but this movie takes it to a new extreme. Nothing really happens until the last 20 minutes of the film and by then I have become so disinterested that I don't even care. There are far better and even mediocre Asian horror films to watch-please don't waste your time and sanity on this atrocity.

This is to combat bad reviews

As a major horror movie fanatic, this movie was definitely worth the watch becuz of how different it was from any of horror film I’ve seen thus far, both nationally and internationally. I will agreee that it is a totally mind-fuck and will for sure leave you confused in the end, which is why it will require your full attention and self-immersion. This movie is just full of symbolism and self-interpretation, much like the Asian horror Pulse, if any of you have that one. You’ll have to think deep to understand the central theme/message of this movie. It’s definitely hard to grasp, I’ll admit, but that doesn’t make it a bad movie. A movie that makes you think and leaves you pondering over the film long after it’s already over, is a well thought out and creative movie. I don’t want to explain my interpretations of the film for the sake of spoilers, but that’s the beauty of this film - there’s no correct or single interpretation of this film. All I can say is that it’s influenced by a good amount of H.P Lovecraft’s work where it’s not a direct adaptation nor a homage. People only give it a bad review becuz they were left confused in the end. I was too, don’t get me wrong, but you really have to think and put the effort into making even a portion of the movie make sense. It doesn’t leave you hanging, it just leaves you thinking. Horror movies that have that capability are worth the watch at least once in your life. So if you’re a big horror movie buff, you should definitely give this one a shot and try to make up your own thoughts and interpretations of it.
(Also, my reasoning for the low rating on the music is becuz I didn’t really pay attention to the music if there was any cuz I legit don’t remember hearing any sort of instrumental background so don’t mind that)
