Jiu Liu Overlord (2020)

both about the clothes industry in ancient times. the male and female leads have great chemistry . the male lead in ni chang knows martial arts but the male lead in overlord doen`t.

Both have strong female leads who refuse to let society define them
Both have love triangles
Both have hidden identity
Second male lead syndrome
Both have mutiple mysteries
Both have cold male lead

Both a light hearted historical comedy dramas.
Good side cast.
Strong bickering female and male leads.

stories aren’t really that similar however the leads in both dramas are. the female leads dress and act similar (boisterous, tomboyish etc) whilst the male leads are your typical rich boy who flaunts their wealth and doesn’t like to mix in with the poor (until he meets the fl blah blah).

Jiu Liu overlord has a similar feel and style to Triad princess. A confident strong female lead and the comedy is similar ( though Triad princess seems more crude from the subtitles). I wonder if it is the same director.

The main Male lead played as a support role as an doctor with an dark past. Check out Fu Yao. its defintely worth your time!
