Concerned over what he heard from Mi Do, even though he doesn't like their relationship he immediately tells Xi Song about Mi Do's plan for a gap year. Xi Song confronts Mi Do about her decision because he is worried about her not following her dreams, especially since he knows she registered to perform at Shi Tian's welcoming party. This ensues an argument not only between them but also with her parents not wanting her to risk her future. Mi Do and Xi Song leave angry and are not able to make up before he leaves for the Hauster Competition. Surprisingly it is her mother and Aunt Gu that becomes closer during this time of trouble for Mi Do when they originally planned on meeting up for cleaning break the two up. Luckily, it is Mi Do's father that makes Mi Do come to her senses and help her come to the decision to go to Nou Hua and understand Xi Song's point of view.
