On their 20th wedding anniversary Kiyoko and Takashi take a trip around the world. They encounter rainstorms and find themselves adrift in the Pacific Ocean until they wash ashore on a deserted island. One day, 16 men come to the island. They are a group of "freeters," who ran away from hard labor on another island. They name the island Tokyo Island and start a community life by making different camps: Shibuya, Koukyo, Juku, & Bukuro. Edit Translation
