Only flaw was the start
As it says in the headline, the only flaw is how freaking long it takes for the story to finally start. Honeslty i could go into a pretty vicious rant about how i hate the type of drama where the intro spoils shit that happens 3/4 into the drama!!! But i know that that is a lot of them so i wont bring this up here.There are way too many ideas for the first few (quite a lot) episodes and essentially nothing happens for quite a while. I think that the first episode i genuinely enjoyed after episode was in the late teens!!! So for those going into this just prepare yourself, this makes those 60 episode wuxia slow burn romances look like they are moving at the speed of light.
Now that being said, i just adore the look and vibe of this drama and also the entire cast. That is what helped me push threw the first bunch of episodes but once this show got going it instantly became top 3 fav cdrama for me. The show just became perfect in many ways and i just felt like it was a completely different show with the same characters
I understand some people having a problem with the FL but i absolutely loved her for what she was. She is basically a woman who has been helped every step of the way for basically her whole life and had never really faced any real hardship, especially when it comes to her career since she had a top exec simping for her and protecting her. This may not be what some people like but this woman has been loved and protected her whole life so her acting the way she does is only natural. Contrast that with the best friend and you'll see what i mean
I am recommending this to all of you once you've gone through your whole watchlist because this is one where you shouldnt watch it if youre in a rush, but i promise you, it is worth it

What a Wholesome Romance
One of the most mature, healthy, wholesome and so beautiful relationships I've watched on tv.I love the depiction of love, honesty, trust, companionship of this story.
How it taught you to never give up on your dreams, never give up on yourself and in times of doubt, rather than walking away, just take a break and come back.
For others, this can be textbook level romance but I think this romance lies so much more deeper, full filling and beautiful.
The Male Leads actor is absolutely adorable and his acting greatly improved.
I actually like the female lead, who would've thought. She was mature, heart working, sweet, gentle and kind. And her outfits are just ARTWORK.
The soundtrack of this show is BREATHTAKING.

Good-looking always win
Before i watching this , lots of people say there is too many kiss scene but i think its not that many .Personally think that even if the male lead not seduce the female lead , they still will fall for each other .
The story was light and good but im skipping the game part because i'm not really into it , but Linyi was handsome in that scene lol. Anyway there is no plot twist that going to make you shock .
I'm more interested in second couple than the main. Sadly the second couple get together at the of the story , rooting for more love scene of them.

Opinion varies for different people but-
It was really great watching this drama.... At first this drama was in my list due to Lin yi ...i loved him in PYHOMS ..so i wanted to watch another modern romance drama of him.....then when it released ..i was very excited....but then i thought of reading some reviews ,some of which said -this drama is not that great as it was expected to be.....etc. Then i thought that since i waited so long to watch this drama , maybe i should give it a try.I am damn relieved that i did it and this drama was preety convincing to me...As many of u might know that most chinese dramas have illogical plot twists with grumpy storylines. Its storyline was preety good explained with no unneeded twists.
Its casts were good too. As expected Lin yi did his best in the drama and made me fall for him again (~|=|~), he even improved his kissing scenes. As for Xu Lu she did exceptionally good, in fact she made me love her as actress. Except the 2 ML which did its best in acting too but was too older for being a love rival . They should have given some thought about choosing a love rival.
Its OSTs are so soothing. I really loved the OSTs. Even downloaded some (- let me know if anyone wants).
Lastly , I'll just say that i loved it. And i hope that they will make another drama again .

Drama that will last through the ages
Never would I have ever thought that a romantic-comedic drama could go this well, this is one of the few dramas that I would watch over and over again. The occupations of both ML and FL were absolutely resolute in both purpose and acting skills. Through the majority of the 31 episodes, the intertwined chemistry between the ML and FL was growing by the moment, and it was stunning to be able to see the best of the actors. The choosing of the actors fit very well. Well Done!I'd also like to point out a few drawbacks (in my opinion, of course):
This includes:
The male love rival to the ML which depicts him as more older and less humorous than the ML which I believe kinda freaked me out a bit as there must have been a ~20 year age difference unlike in most C-dramas that I've watched is that they have no more than ~10 year age difference.
Two, the constant near misses between the ML and the FL got slightly frustrating for me as I hoped there was more interactions between the two at the start.
Other that those two issues, I personally believe that this drama has put its all and has succeeded through most of my expectations. In conclusion, this might been the best romantic-comedic drama I have seen yet (in my opinion once more) as the chemistry between the leads were magnificent and the well usage of the support characters including the ML's friends and the ML's friends and colleagues.
A drama that I will personally never forget about. Wished it had more than 31 episodes. : D

Beautiful and simple modern love story!
Firstly, I love how the main leads are of two very different worlds and backgrounds, one is a singer who is a public figure and one is a top computer science student. I love it when drama have such leads as there are more and more such cases in real life that the drama can shed light on.Secondly, the realistic part about an older woman dating a younger man which is slowly becoming more acceptable in our society. However, there is still some stigma towards this, more commonly the parental rejection and your friends thinking that younger man are not able to provide and protect you the same way an older man would, which I think also shed light on real life scenario.
Thirdly, the drama did teach us some very important life lessons:
1. If you truly love someone, you should give it a shot and not overthink about whether both of you are compatible or not. Afterall, it is better to have loved than to never love before. If it works out, that is great. If it is not, we should still thank the person for the experience and wish them all the best and to meet someone more suitable in the near future. - Between the main leads
2. If you truly love someone, even if the person does not reciprocate, respecting their choice and giving them the blessings is the most mature thing to do. - Between the female lead and her close friend who is always there for her
3. We cannot keep living in the past and not letting go of the past, this will only continue to affect and hurt us and also the new people who wants to be a part of our life. Letting go is hard but that is the only way one can start being themselves and living their life again. - Between the second main leads (The actor and comedian)
4. Being able to become mature and put behind your past misunderstandings to be there for one another and to become close friends again despite not talking to each other for a long time. That is how a true friendship should be. - Between the female lead and the second female lead (comedian)
This is certainly a really beautiful yet simple drama without much twist and backstabbling, just family members who are supportive of their relationship and a few close friends who will always be there for them.

Age Incompatibility
Of late, too many Chinese dramas with older FLs partnering younger MLs.The Storyline at least supports this type of a incompatible relationship. Interesting reasons cited by FL as to why she chose a school junior over a successful actor.
What I like :
- the music (yao gun)
- the fashion or wardrobe for FL (Xu Lu)
- The friendship between the FL and her best friend at university
What I "struggle"
- unrealistic portrayal of FL as "innocent" and shyness in her relationship with ML
- FL is at least 5 years older, had been in the industry and even had an ex-boyfriend who cheated on her. Can't be that innocent
- Lin Yi - his exceptional large nose. Fortunately compensated by his height and fair looks.

This series is pure saccharin.
After finish watching this series, I hereby announce I have been diagnosed with diabetes.If you want to watch a light romantic series this is the one you should watch! I am happy that this show is as intended to be a light hearted romance show with no troublesome conflict that keep misunderstanding like most of the romantic drama we have.
The progress of the main couple is just pure sweetness. Sweetness overload! I really like the chemistry of the main couple, 10/10 since the first episode. Even though this show has a lot of typical romantic trope but the chemistry of both lead just overcome the trope and shine!!!
Regretfully, I can't say much about the 2nd couple. Especially, Ma Shan Shan. she shows no character development for the entire drama up until the last episode. She keeps being the heartbroken girl over her ex for the whole drama. Once Taro manage to soften her heart, a news about her ex brings back her character to the starting point which is exhausting to watch the same shit over and over again. Eventually, I sometime skip when the second couple get the screen time because there is no progress at all. However, suddenly at the last episode MSS is all okay and want to be together with Taro. I was like... ZZZZ.. Taro deserves better. Do not pair them up suddenly just because it is the last episode!
Another thing i have to address. Lu Jing rival, Ding jia Yun. Honestly, I am the type of person who does not mind huge age gap (as long as it is legal). However, how they portray DJY is not like love rival but like a FATHER toward Liang Chen. I can't help but creeps out everytime DJY shows his love toward LC. I don't know why. Maybe because they show his rival, LJ, as a much more younger guy. Hence, the audience will feel the gap is bigger than before and it becomes unsettling. I am glad that the rivalness between them ends early. I just do not want to keep watching DJY chasing over LC.
Overall, I will definitely re-watch this show when I feel like i need to destress from the harshness of life. Due to this shows is just refreshing, no heavy conflict, and I will repeat once again, SWEET.

Simply heartwarming
I think what made this show was the simplicity of their love, although reaching crossroads in life (just like how real life is), they choose to believe in each other and their bond. This only makes them grow closer and make them more enjoyable for viewers. They are simply amazing and you should definitely watch if you want a couple that doesn't let anything get in their way. Besides that the OST by Duan Aojun is simply amazing and was so nice to hear throughout this show. All of her songs seemed to be well written.Was this review helpful to you?
Easy to watch and enjoy an almost stress-free love story
Story was simple, sweet and heart warming. It was fun and enjoyable to watch. No evil steps. No convoluted plots. It was just really enjoyable. Plus the music was an added bonus.Yes it's the typical star and a simple guy formula, not so new at all. But I found it still refreshing.
Actors did a good job with their characters. Even suppoting roles were interesting enough and joyfull to watch. The on screen chemistry of the lead actors, are really cute too.
Watched this series twice now, its still good. Rewatch value of this show is really high.

Cute, well-produced. but oddly unsatisfying
I gave this show an 8 because objectively it's still better than many romcoms I've seen. The story is cute and fluffy, the actors were charming and did their best with the script they were given. If I turned off my braincells and were in the mood to watch a fun show, I may have given this an even higher score.I was just dissatisfied with the personality of the FL. For a successful, award-winning singer with previous romantic relationships, she seemed very naive and coy. I don't mind that behavior in a youth romance with a student falling in love for the first time, but it was jarring from a character who was set up to be emotionally strong in the opening episode - judging how she reacted to her ex. I thought, "Hey, this girl has BALLS." Then she proceeded to lose IQ/EQ when she crushed on someone she met online.
That may be my own personal preferences/mood but it did affect how much I enjoyed the show, and how I emotionally connected to the romance and the sweet moments. I love age gap romances but I guess I want the FL to act their age. But otherwise, the show meets the criteria of a fluffy Cdrama romance.

So many stupid logic
Ok first off all this is one of the most cute romance i've watch this year. I say cute because lin yi act so cute in here, so difference with his character at put your head on my shoulder.This drama tell a dream where we can get close to our idol. Yeah i don't said it's impossible but i think only 1% or maybe less that can make dream like here come true. But actually drama like this can also become danger for the mind of crazy fans who watch this drama too.
What i like:
• sun bin yu (BY) & ma shan shan (SS) is really the perfect examples of water dripping on the rock. A little by little he crush the rock at SS heart.
• i really like Lin Yi here & also his chemistry with Lulu Xu. I really like Lu Jin (LJ) & Liang Chen (LC) relationship. They can be mature or childish with each other.
• i really like all the soundtrack here, especially the one that 'sang' by LC
There are several stupid or illogical scene in here. It's not stupid plot, just some illogical scene to make the story seem more romantic, but really don't using logic when they write the plot.
1. One of the most ridiculous or impossible scene is when in the winter LJ wait outside all night with that thin sweater, but turn out he's all right not sick or anything, he even could go straight to run for the whole 2 hour nonstop & after that he can just talk with LC without sweating or out of breath. After that he can still have some energy to ride a bike to take LC home, btw how LC come to campus in the first place, isn't she usually drive a car, where is her car if she need to be taken home by LJ. See makes no sense at all...
2. When SS & BY go for picnic, suddenly it's raining & they still decide to back to the car while its obviously there was a tent in their behind. So what the purpose of that tent, just prop to make the background better...?
3. Everyone in the country seem to play that games. Yeah i know sponsor, etc. But still... It's just too obvious. Btw why everytime they show the live broadcast game it's always full of number...? It's like they don't have copyright to show it on the drama.... Doesn't make sense
4. The last episode when the airplane have problem up there, isn't usually we don't know about it until it landing or crash. The screen just show delay and LC is panic already, what the hell, it could be hundreds reason for delay not because of there's problem up there...
Except that stupid scene i mention above there are also some of what i don't like:
- Every man in this drama is so stupid, of course except our main lead, LJ. But even so there is part where LJ acting stupid too, yeah i know he just playing stupid to make him more adorable & cute. Yeah2 i know that stupid man sometimes to make the drama more funny, but still make all the other man seems stupid is not the way...
- SS problem only show little here & there. Yeah i know, she's not the main lead, but i think it will gonna be better to make it more elaborate or maybe they can make it like more involve LC so LC & SS friendship can be closer in a way.
Overall: i really like this drama & maybe i'll gonna re-watch several episode that i think adorable. But i really have to deduct the point because of that stupid scene & logic.
