The intro...

Kinda wish I'd skipped the intro. I'm assuming that was the ending, and the story itself will be a flashback. I really don't want to watch something with a thought that the character will inevitably die... There's another drama that did that. I hope I'm wrong. Also, SJS is way adorable in this.

brothers that have a love/hate relationship

What is with me watching dramas with gross brain surgeries today? I started watching Time Slip Dr. Jin today and picked this drama as my old drama to watch in between the new dramas I watch without knowing that I would have to endure more brain surgery.
This episode starts with a woman ill on a plane and she is saved by Seon Woo/Hyun Joon who is on the flight from America. We see Cho In/Ji Sub riding a motorcycle with a kid in front of him. At the hospital Young Ji/Ji Min is handling the ER. Cho In brings a panhandler kid into the ER to be treated and says he will pay for it. From the conversation it is obvious that this isn't the first time he has done something like that. Yougn Ji needs a surgeon for a patient but isn't sure Cho In can do it because he has drank a little.

PAUSE EVERYTHING...So Ji Sub is naked sobering up. That is right...I wrote naked!!! Even if this intire drama sucks, it is worth the watch for that alone. I'm giving this episode a 10 for that alone.

We then see Seon Woo in the middle of brain surgery while being watched by other doctors, nurses, and journalists from an observation room. Then Cho In begins the same surgery on a man in the next operating room. Apparently he has some complications but everything works out.

Seon Woo who has been away for 7 years pays his respects to his father who is in a hospital bed unconscience with brain tumors. Then the brothers finally talk to each other and embrace. They both go to see their father. I think that Cho In must be illegitimate, because when Seon Woo's mother walks in on them she is mean to Cho In then her conversation with Seon Woo implies that Cho In is the father's favorite.

The next day at the hospital while the brothers are checkin on patients they have a conversation that brings me to believe that they don't agree on surgical procedures.

Seo Yeon who is a friend of the brothers since childhood when she was sick with heart problems has a concert and invites the brothers to it. I guess that Seon Woo was in love with her but in his absence she had fallen for Cho In. She tells Cho In that she loves him at the start of her concert and Seon Woo looks devistated. Seon Yeon and Cho In exchange rings and a kiss. Too sweet!!!

Then we are back to the hospital where there is a board meeting. From what I can tell Seon Woo's mom wants to build a Neuro Medical Center while the people against her want to build an Emergancy Medical Center. It seems there father was set on saving lives regardless of money but their mother is looking at the bottom line.

The brothers have a conversation on how to operate on their father and disagree on the method. Seon Woo ends up sending Cho In to China to see the procedure done, but I think it is really just to get him out of his way while they contol the board meeting.

In China Young Ji who works as a tour guide for Koreans is asked by some thugs hired by Seon Woo's mother to watch Cho In.

It ends with Young Ji and Cho In meeting at the airport.

Er? Grey's Anatomy?

So far this has been korean ER. The intro was intriguing but the rest of it was not. I guess they have to set up the characters for the rest of the story, but so far i'm bored.

So Ji Sub definitely knows how to light up a screen though. He's what keeps me hopeful. I like him already.

Han Ji Min is usually good too, though I didn't recognize her at first with the short hair. I suspect there will be lots of tears being shed, and a bad kiss scene in the future.
