Five Stars

I feel like no matter what Eun Hee would have done, Eun Joo would have criticized her. Eun Joo criticized her for letting their mother tell Eun Joo the news herself and leaving Jin Sook all alone. But clearly it was a discussion that should have been between just the two of them. But if Eun Hee had show up and accompanied them, Eun Joo would have accused her of being someone who gets joy and entertainment from other people's misery, like she's accused her in the past. Or it would have been that they were ganging up on her. I understand she feels the need to take her anger out on someone, but she never apologizes or feels bad about it. It's super frustrating to watch. And just as I thought she was getting better in how she handled her meeting with her mom, she lashes out at the only person she feels she can lash out at anymore (Eun Hee).

It made me realize that Eun Joo, while perhaps the most intelligent out of the three siblings (having become a super skilled pharmaceutical patent attorney), is also the least emotionally mature. Everything is so extreme in her view: good & bad, right & wrong, with nothing in between. It must be an exhausting way to live, and it's a shame that she judges others and also herself so harshly.
