Kenichi Nagaoka, an intellectual type, and his brother Eiji, practical and active, have lost their father and their company, which operates in the port of Yokohama, from a money-lender, Mizuhara, who takes over the management of the company. Kenichi and Eiji soon realise that reforming operations is impossible, unless they can raise twenty-million-yen so as to oust Mizuhara. To do so they seek the aid of Masao (owner of a cabaret and once their father's mistress), get involved it a love triangle with Mie (daughter of a wealthy family)and realise that the one responsible for their downfall is Matsui gang.
