Souls

A lot happened in this episode, but all I want to talk about now is the cliffhanger. 😲Does that mean Bong-Hwan's body has been unconscious this whole time, and now regaining that consciousness is calling for his soul back? Where's the Queen's soul then? 🤔

Needs to be more gay

The premise is ALREADY a no-homo cop-out, so I don't get the need to lean into it so much every episode, when the opportunity to go all out on the homoerotic subtext is right THERE for the taking, and they wouldn't even have to scare away all the homophobes who can't handle the visual of a man in love with another man, because the other man here is conveniently "in the body of a woman". (Though judging from some people's comments before this show started, I may be underestimating the extent of some people's homophobia lol ) As it is, this is the straightest body swap show I have ever watched. It's not a bad show - it's very well-plotted (so far), most of the time the dialogue is clever and funny (and when it's not, it's at least purposeful and no-frills), Shin Hye Sun has charisma enough to power a small solar system - so I don't HATE it. I'm enjoying it a lot, in fact. It's just. *sigh* I can't help but wonder at the potential and how much better it could be if only they let it be a little more gay, you know?
