Both historical dramas, highly recommend watching, it takes place after the Joseon dynasty during the Japan colonization so it kind feels like it is continuing the story from another point of view

Not a gender-bender or time-travel. But in similar manner there are fake identity crown princesses, Mr. Queen is a man from the future inhabiting the crown princesses body, in Fake Princess the crown princess is a look-a-like that gets swapped in for the real crown princess.

In both stories the ML (crown prince) is suspicious of the FL (crown princess) as she comes from the "enemy camp". Also in both stories the ML (crown prince) is also under threat from enemies all around him and must behave low-key and plot secretly with few allies.

The stories are quite similar, romantic and funny with a more serious undertone, fight scenes, plotting, and mostly the pull and push relationship between the ML and FL where they battle suspicion and romance between each other.

Both shows were huge hits when they were on TV with both the Korean and international audiences. They are both fantasy romances that deal with gender and body swaps. Both shows have excellent acting and have a great combination of humor and drama.

Similar to me queen my sassy girl is a period drama that follows a princess who doesn’t conform to royal standards and a noble who seems to strongly dislike her outlandishness. Their clashing personalities bring them together in this romantic story.

Both are top 10 highest rated cable shows at the time of this recommendation that resonated with both Korean and international fans. Both are time traveling fantasy romantic dramas. Both are really funny shows that also have very compelling stories and characters.

Both sets of main characters have to figure out who is trying to kill them and how to survive all the attempts on their lives.
