I love the first half. It was so good. The other half is a bit different.

The story is so interesting. A seemingly perfect guy who is visually impaired, cold, and doesn't care about anything but himself fell in love with a cute and clumsy girl.

I love how the FL pursued the ML. If it was not because of her efforts, we will not have this beautiful love story. You just know she's sincere about her love to him because she doesn't care about his eyesight. She's just so nice and willing to take care of him. The ML is also reliable despite his problems. They're story is amazing.

Though this story changed direction after the fist half.

I love the first half. Evan Lin is so godamn handsome. Gosh! I'm so in love. ?

The 2nd half, was just okay. It's like watching another drama. There are a lot of cringy scenes but bearable.

Overall, it is enjoyable and meaningful.

It made me smile, laugh, and cry. I love it. Still worth watching.

This drama will always have a special place in my heart <3

Just like When We Were Young 2018 (Wan Peng's other cdrama), CRUSH has a very special place in my heart. Wan Peng and Lin Yanjun's chemistry is off the charts. Yanjun is my most favorite leading man for Wan Peng now, next is Minghao.

The plot is very unique, not the typical cdrama, They tackled social/psychological issues here since it's tagged as an urban drama. It made us realized that people with disabilities don't need sympathy but they need empathy instead. And that's what Wu Yan did to Nian Qin.

Their romance is not cringed. It's so heartwarming to the point that it gave me goosebumps. I love how caring Nian Qin is to Wu Yan despite him being blind. He's just way too cute.

Lines are very meaningful, it will really touch your heart. The OSTs are aesthetically pleasing to ears (really good music). Yanjun even sang a song for his own drama.

Though this is Yanjun's debut drama, I'm really impressed with his acting skills. He's one of my favorite Chinese actors now. Wan Peng's acting is already great ever since WWWY2018. Btw, she's my most favorite Chinese actress. :)

To be honest, 24 episodes are not enough, I found that the last episode was rushed, some issues suddenly appeared at the very last minute, all squeezed in the last episode without getting proper closure. Nevertheless, I would still give this a 10/10 because it's a masterpiece.

I'm gonna miss them oh so much. Please give them another drama!

The soundtrack made me binge watching the series

At first, I was skeptical about this drama because the storyline seems cliché. However, it kept popping up in my YouTube recommendation, so I try to watch one of the clips and fall in love with the soundtrack. Because of that reason, I gave a chance to watch the first episode that leads to binge-watching for a whole weekend.
I enjoyed the storyline until the 17th episode, after that I’m not sure if the writer changed or what, cause somehow it lost its charm from the story. It's a pity that the problems that arise in the 14-16th episode should be cooled down through a heart-to-heart conversation as suggested by Sang Wu Yan’s friends. I waited for the conversation because I knew both main roles were very good at showing their emotions.
The story concerning Cheng Yi is unnecessary; it simply adds to the problem without providing a clear solution, most likely due to the impending deadline for the ending. So, for me, it didn't end wonderfully since the series' purpose seemed to have gotten lost along the way.
Without Evan and Wan Peng's performance, I would not have made it through the last five episodes. I would not realise if this were the first drama of Evan Lin if I didn’t look up his profile. He succeeded in portraying the character without appearing awkward. Wang Pen's acting is heartfelt, especially when she was arguing with Evan Lin. I was like ‘don’t do that it hurts my heart’.
Aside from the acting, we can't ignore the cinematic setting and the soundtrack, which perfectly complete this series (thumbs up). The movie is similar to 'nothing but30,' which sets it apart from several Chinese dramas in general. All of the soundtracks fascinated me and were well suited to the setting.

FL MAKES IT HARD TO STOMACH. ML MAKES IT WORTH IT.

I'm not sure what to say because I don't want to ruin this drama with the ML, singer Evan Lin, being so dang good in his role...well until the last few episodes. I blame the director. One thing is for sure...I hate the FLs character. The worst I've ever seen. And if I detest her so much, what does that say about the actress because I'm not sure why they had her acting the way she is. From beginning to end, one role after another makes her so cringy and hard to watch. If Evan Lin (really adorable and good singer) does another CDrama and I really hope he does (his sight impaired scenes were amazing), put him with a better Director and Female lead. He would learn a lot from more seasoned actresses who have a kind and patient nature such as Dilraba or Zhao LuSi. As for this drama, I am torn whether to recommend it because it may be my own critical nature that finds so many scenes with FL Wan Peng hard to stomach. Watch it at your risk and with an open mind. HOWEVER, Evan Lin does make it worth it.

Strong Start, Disappointing End

NO SPOILERS! This is my second ever series review, sorry if it's all over the place!

MY OPINION:
This drama fell down my rating scale very quickly. I'm seeing a pattern with the Chinese dramas I watch and that is that they always start off super strong and end off super weak that I can't even finish it. I loved the first half of this drama. I sat and binged the first half to the point where I couldn't remove myself from the couch from the morning to late at night. Then it got to around episode 20 where I couldn't bring myself to watch it anymore. There are so many plot holes, undeveloped characters/plotlines, stale characters that felt like filler, negative character development, and forgotten important messages. However, these issues were not present in the beginning, they were shown towards the ending half. This made it unbearable to watch. I absolutely adored this drama at first and now I'm sad to drop it cause I can't bring myself to continue this mess.

DIRECTING STYLE:
Some scenes were very well done. However, I feel as if there was a lot of hiccups. So many things left me in questions to the point I was looking in the reviews for answers as I felt like I missed something. Or things would be so poorly explained that I would be left confused. At parts, I wished they showed more instead of telling. Within the side couple, I wished they showed more instead of telling. Some parts I would think to myself, "why didn't they show more of this instead of a quick montage or flashback to something we have no prior knowledge of."

ACTING:
I always find C-Drama acting to be very hit or miss. But in this case I really enjoyed it. I don't think these characters were voiced dubbed by someone else. If they were, I couldn't tell unlike in other C-Dramas. I thought the male lead acted very well and I found the female lead character to be pretty well done. The side couple, I didn't like them at all but their story was so weak, so I don't blame the actors for working with a weak storyline and uninteresting characters

TLDR:
Watch the first half and then drop it. Or honestly just skip this drama overall. Nothing was groundbreaking since their initial message of the drama was lost as it continued.

Perfectly sweet love Story.

Where should I start, first of all I loved the chemistry between. Wan Peng (FL) and Evan Lin (ML). I started watching this drama because Wan Peng I’ve loved her since I watched MGIAA.
This is the first time I’ve ever watch Evan in a drama and was surprise to learn this was his first every drama because he did such a great shop portraying some with vision impairment.
This is one of the best sweet love story Cdrama I’ve seen so far this year. Its sad to see it end. Highly recommended drama for me.

Best C Drama minus NC scenes

One of the best Chinese dramas I have ever watched. The chemistry between the actors is off the charts. Plot is out of the world! The best part: The leads' chemistry and love is so pure minus any intimate scenes. No over acting by any of the actors and even support actors are amazing. Worth a re-watch and definitely binge worthy! Extremely unique storyline!
I recommend it to all those who love light romance.
P.S.: No villains too

Each episode has a beautiful beginning. There are no abrupt endings or overdramatic villains/vamps. Negative characters are really subtle in their roles. The time lapses shown are very natural. Evan Lin and Wan Peng look really natural!

Enjoy watching it!

Very nice story

To begin with ,Story is good ,acting as well as background music .Further more supporting characters were also good , I like the little possessive and character of the lead .otherwise what had happened in such story the couple break if one of their family not ready to accept the disability of one has and neither one want to create bad image nor bad relationship among family so one has give up or himself become evil infront of his love .
Story become much better if a twist come when they separated ,when he gets back his eyesight so he would not able to find and looked for voice and touch and when she comes in front of him he slowly slowly recognise her first by voice and then touch ,it become little romantic . I guess so
Rest ,all was good

Amazing drama with beautiful OST, you will regret not watching!

This is my first time writing a review on MDL despite being on here for years.

Firstly, as a longtime fan of Lin Yanjun, I've been waiting for this drama for almost a year! However I really wasn't sure if I could finish it as he's never acted before and I'm generally not a fan of idols acting BUT his acting performance completely proved me wrong! He was so impressive portraying Su Nianqin that I truly felt he was blind and my heart ached. His every emotion, tiny expression was clearly evoked. He worked really hard for this role and I am so proud of him! If I didn't know him beforehand, I would have thought that he's been an actor for a few years already. I've seen a couple of Wan Peng's dramas and while her characters feel similar (at least to me), she always nails it!

The plot is cliche, yet not cliche. While there are a couple of things I wish were covered more in depth in the drama and also a couple of things I want to nitpick on, it overall does a good job of showing the story (rather than telling)! The couple's story is very touching and while at times, immature, that is probably how real life is like when we fall in love (not that I have experience lol) Their chemistry was really strong and convincing, which is very impressive considering this is Lin Yanjun's debut drama!

I really like how Su Nianqin was blind because there are rarely any dramas with characters who are disabled. The drama educated me a lot about people with special needs and how sometimes what we think is best for them may not really be the best way. I hope that this is something many viewers can learn and takeaway from the drama.

The OST was perfect! I love every single OST especially the "Fall" by Wei Chen and "Forever Shine on Me" by Lin Yanjun. The filming was excellent too especially the use of closeups, which tell a deeper meaning without the characters actually saying it.

Overall, really really refreshing and unique drama, it will make you smile like an idiot but also cry in the middle of the night. I will definitely be rewatching this amazing drama again in the near future! Thank you so much to the cast and crew for such a wonderful drama <3

Strong start with interesting casts. I fell in love with the drama, soundtrack everything. I am currently listening to their soundtracks over and over again, especially the instrumental songs (crush and crush 2).

Drama pace was nice and I am fond with her housemate/friend's funny and sarcasm character. Just felt on the later half a bit draggy -instead they should focus and give closure on FL's depression/ mental issue. Also, there were so many scenes that abruptly cut and doesn't continue on next episode so it’s kind of annoying. Nevertheless, it's still a wonderful drama and they look so beautiful together.

This review may contain spoilers

I really don't accept a bad review for this drama. I'm sorry.

Let's see, let's start from the beginning. It is normal that there was no relationship between them from the first chapter. That would be illogical and I will explain why.

The protagonist is an orphan, and lived for a long time in the orphanage. He really didn't have a good time at the orphanage, he hates his father and his family. For him, his only family was his mother. He only gets along with his aunt, she is the only one who to a certain extent, always sets a limit, because he is afraid of getting hurt. And he also can't see.

The protagonist obviously falls in love with him at first sight, she herself admits that she is very in love, and he reminds her later when she regains her sight. It's fun to see how she tries to be closer to him but he always stops her. He is not hard on her nor is he hurtful to her, but there are things that he does not like her to do, such as her attitude towards orphaned children. Obviously she doesn't do it with bad intentions, he understands that but he also wants to make her see that these attitudes can only harm them.

Slowly he gets used to her and eventually they fall in love.

She does things to him that he was not used to doing and she is the only one with whom he breaks that barrier and lets himself see what he is like and all his childhood wounds.

Here I want to emphasize two important points:
1. His mother did not accept their relationship because he was blind.
2. I don't know if they skipped parts or are stupid. She NEVER wanted to study psychology, she only followed the desire of her mother, who wanted to manage her life even though she was an adult. Her mother even thought about finding her a job because she "should" be a teacher like her father. Her vocation and what she liked most was music (that's why she was obsessed with knowing who was the composer of the music she was listening to, who turned out to be the protagonist, who always wanted to remain anonymous with a fake man, so that the media will not get involved in your life private) and the locution. That's why, secretly from his mother, she did internships at a radio station. Who is really not interested in psychology, no matter how much they study it, will quickly forget what they are learning, because she did not even pay attention in class because she was not interested in psychology at all and she always made it clear.

The thing about her being childish, maybe she is a little bit, but I really understand her reaction to finding out by surprise that her two best friends were having something. First, because him best friend had ambiguous attitudes towards her and that made her think that he might like her. The second thing, what really hurt her was the betrayal. She told everything to her two best friends and they knew everything about her, it's really ugly to give all your trust to your best friends and they know everything about you but no one dared to tell her what was happening, but she found out by surprise. . The two friends were wrong there, and she had reasons to be angry with them. She then took it all in and forgave that.

Their breaking point is understandable. The protagonist was not being capricious, her father was sick (another bad thing her mother did was hide from her that her father was hospitalized) and the protagonist here did act selfishly. He didn't want to let her go because he believed it was a trap by FL's mother to separate them. Even though she promised to return, he continued to insist. Which caused her to waste time and when she arrived her father was already dead, and she loved her father because he was the only one who let her do whatever she wanted with her life.

He obviously had compelling reasons not to forgive him. And she remained in that position for a long time, it was not easy for her to forgive ML even though she loved him.

Then... well she loved him a lot so she ended up forgiving him. Her relationship from then on was very beautiful and healthy.

But the friends were not there for decoration. Thanks to his friends he was able to find out about the trauma his girlfriend was suffering. Clearly he had never seen that friend that she always mentioned. Which had seemed strange to him at first, but after finding out he knew that her trauma was so great, that his psyche, to protect her, created like an imaginary friend representing his friend from the childhood.

At that moment, he did not pressure her or bring up the subject because first she went to consult with a psychiatrist and the psychiatrist explained to her that making her relive that moment could be very counterproductive for her. So he only dedicated himself to being there for her and that she gradually let go of that imaginary friend.

The ending was beautiful. It allows us to see the traumas that all people have, the importance of having someone by your side to face it, what it is like to suffer blindness, the prejudice that exists behind these people and that love is love, it does not matter if that person has a special condition.

They have a healthy relationship, where both help each other improve themselves and fulfill their dreams.

I really don't understand why people didn't understand anything at all. You just had to sit down and read, it was all written there and it wasn't difficult to understand.

The performances exceeded my expectations and the soundtrack was very beautiful.
And the chemistry between the actors was palpable.

If you want to watch a modern Chinese drama, which explores all this and with healthy love. This is the drama for you. I would even go so far as to say that it is mandatory watch this drama..
