Good acting but unrealistic story and it is too long
The production quality of this drama is not bad; however, I don't like the storyline of this drama.Yang Mi's character is a lawyer, but there was no courtroom scene where it showcased her professional skills. The entire premise of this drama was on her professional relationships with co-workers, her boss, and her fake husband (not many scenes between them).
If the focus is on them, then I rather that the drama have more scenes as their characters unfold. However, of all the Xu Kai's dramas that I watched and dropped, I don't think he is a good actor. The only thing that he has going for him is his good look.
Nevertheless, I think he did his best work as an actor in this drama because he used his voice and showed some vulnerability that I did not see in other dramas. A big improvement; Yang Mi's acting in this drama is mediocre, not great.
I am giving it 5.5 ratings out of 10. I think the flow of the drama would be better if it was 30 episodes instead of 40. It became draggy, and the supporting cast did not act well.

And in one day its love
I started this show by accident, I had no plans to actually watch it. It was the BEST accident that has ever happened. Although, this review will be ongoing and is subject to change. I would say this is fast becoming one of my TOP 5 favorites of all time. I have not been disappointed by anything, the development of the story, or the lessons along the way. I always want more, I cannot wait for the next episode and sometimes it leaves me thinking of positive things I could consider within my own life. Can't ask for much more, except please hurry and show the next episode. :) So far I am in love! Was this review helpful to you?
A drama that grows on you
I just finished the drama and I love it more now, than when I started. I am so glad I did not dropped it just because it rated at only 8.0 on Mydramalist. I continue just because of the wonderful casts and my beliefs in them delivering their best. It didn’t disappoint. The acting were superb, the dialogues were engaging and at times captivating, the story was interesting and satisfying.Sure it has some flaws in the last few episodes, where some scenes seemed jumpy and some matters were not properly explained. But the whole story makes up for the small imperfections. Congratulations to the production house and its crew for an excellent drama.
While I do love Yang Hua & Qin Shi together, I actually secretly don’t mind if Qin Shi ended up with Tao Junhui. LZF is excellent as TJ. His uncomfortableness every single time YH name was brought up by whoever are just so well done. TJ and QS interactions with each other were just next level, its like they understood each other beyond the spoken words.
But of course YH and QS are the ultimate couple, who wouldn’t want a partner like that, who supports you not only at home but at work too. YH unconditional love is just what a person like QS needs.
I love the bosses Chen & Hui, both their kindness and meanness. Li Dai to me is annoying. She seeks too much help in her work from others. Qin Shi is always the better lawyer than her, but her character adds flavor to the story so I can live with that, just like all the family and office members.
Its so unfair and sad that the drama rating is not higher than 8 .
Can we have a two hour movie please to satisfy our unfulfilled desires to watch more of YH & QS ? ;)

EP36th is highlight in this drama
The scene where YANG HUA tells QIN SHI to divorce was a highlight. Both ML and FL were so convincing in their acting that I could not stop staring at the screen!
XU KAI was not just a popular idol actor, but also showed solid acting skills, and YANG MI, as usual, was mesmerizing with her stable acting skills.
Li Ze Feng and the other supporting actors are also very talented and add depth to the story.
From first to 36th episodes were great, but the last episode was a disappointment, even though it had a happy ending, , because the last episode was forced conclusion to various contents.

It is good! Can't expect more than this!
The waiting journey of the show finally ends! Haah.. Almost 1 Year we waited for this show to air ever since it's teaser launched last year.I've been waiting for Xu Kai's modern drama after Falling into your Smile. I completed watching 40 episodes today.
Xu Kai as Yang Hua: His character is nicely written. He aced the performance as Yang Hua.
YangMi, Li Ze Feng, Tang Jing Mei & He Feng Tian did amazingly well in the show.
For Acting and Characters ~ 10/10.
For Story and Editing ~ 9/10. I think the story was good but last 3-4 episodes got really stretched and focused more Yao Yao related than the main leads in the show. I felt the last episode got edited roughly missing out various points. Last episode should have focused more on Yang Hua and Qin Shi instead of showing other things.
For OST ~ 10/10.
Overall: 9.5/10
## It's my first cdrama I watched on Law and finance focused story. So I felt that the detailing in the story is good. Xu Kai and Yang Mi did amazingly well.

Could have been so good but...
I would probably rated it a 9 or a 9,5 if they only cut it down to 24 episodes and cut out the best friends couple... as this has so much great in it I feel sad to have to rate it below an 8 but I just can not ignore all the annoying elements, fillers and unnecessary confusion in some of the episodes. The female lead is probably one of my favourite fl in all of of c-dramaland, smart pretty, witty, fun to watch has great humour and spunk without being mean or toxic.
The male lead is sweet, considerate, vulnerable and also all lovely about 90% of the drama but those 10% of WTF completely ruined all the other amazing 90%.
The people around them range from ooh my why are you so annoying to oh I like you... Some people start off as these great characters bubbly, smart and fun but just take a dive to self centred and annoying making me think of the meme "I was rooting for you.."
The use of hoodies, ppl and umbrellas is lovely, the turtle pets are just the cutest turtles ever and there is even a guest appearance of a fluffy dog.
The visuals and colors in this are amazing, it is fun to watch how often the clothes and PPL communicate with their surroundings people keep matching either each other or the decor... it is like an explosion of couple outfits for all (couple or not).
The romance is decent, gives a bunch of feels, loughs and kisses... not the best kisses I have seen and they all seem to get cut oddly... but they do the job.
So what can I say, watch it but keep in mind that it has a lot of unnecessary fillers and annoying elements so speed watch and skip scenes are your friends....

Even with the lows, the relationship is worth watching
I'll be honest, the reason why I rated it this high is because of the relationship between the couple is so mature that it is one of the best I have ever seen. The understanding that the male lead has towards the female lead genuinely touched my heart even towards the last few episodes. The ending of this show didn't make a lot of sense but I still cannot take away from how much I enjoyed the show to score it low. Either way it's still an 8+.Things I loved:
- The strong female lead. She is a working woman and has to deal with a lot of misogyny at her workplace despite being incredible at her job. However she has a knack for dealing with people and it made me want to save the dialogues. I loved the way, the writers wrote her lines.
- A male lead that is understanding. Not just in a superficial sense but in a deep sense. He knows why the female lead is the way she is. And when he doesn't, he is guided into understanding her by his father.
- The couple's relationship itself.
- The lines are powerful. I genuinely enjoyed so many different dialogues.
- The OST.
Things I disliked:
- The brother and his relationship with his wife. It is toxic and I never quite got why he is the way he is.
- Though I love that the show covers the life of the female lead in her law firm but the name of the show is "She and Her Perfect HUSBAND". For whatever reason, they don't show much of their time together at all compared to the law cases. The male lead's character has less screen time which I didn't appreciate.
- SPOILER: The ending. The husband and wife get a divorce at one point because the female lead cannot accept that she has feelings for the male lead. I'm not sure why when she can admit it to everyone else. The male lead decides to wait until she is ready to accept him and her feelings for him. However, that never happens. He just moves next to her and they hug and everything is resolved. It was so rushed that this is the main aspect that didn't make any sense. I am not sure if it has anything to do the editing or they just ran out of time (they had 40 episodes) but that was nonsensical in an otherwise perfect show.
I still recommend the show for the highs. For those who aren't interested in the law aspect, it might not be suited for you but it's worth skipping parts to where the main leads are with each other or discussing each other.
I will rewatch parts of this show that I loved for sure.

Drama that rely on ML and FL popularity
The story start well but after a few episode it started to become boring that allSo many thing that are not logical
I think i cant find the chemistry between FL and ML
The character are perfectly potray but no chemistry between them
too many toxic relay in this drama but writer prefer let them stay
SML and SFL relay is also a toxic one because i dont the man love his current GF same as previous
What the point if having new relay but you are still remember your ex
And last episode, suddenly the GF return to the boyfriend like WTF never settle less
The other couple which is her brother relay is really toxic come on after so many cheating and argument they still together and the FL who always potray like powerfull female character is just the same
I really hate the law firm they always taking afvangtage of qin shi and qinshi is so naive and her only goal is only want to be the partner of the agency which is i think she can achieve more when she go solo just like Li Dai
And the bosses is like typical bosses who are always stick to the rich people red flagg
And only call qin shi when they make mistake they know qin shi will always loyal to them
And my complained after 30 episode each episode the story line is getting weaker

Honestly, it's amazing
So a long time ago I noticed this drama will be published some day. I was so exited right away since it has an absolutely amazing cast. Not only talking about main lead's tho,, also the side characters!! When I finally saw that it would begin publishing in the end of 2022 I was so exited. I feel always kinda bummed about watching a drama that hasn't even been fully released yet, but I am doing it with this one. I have not regretted my decision for now.So for the 24 episodes that I've watched of this drama for now, I have to say it's amazing. The story is a little refreshing, the cast is amazing, the plot just overall is so good, I wanna keep seeing what's gonna happen in the rest of the episodes. The law theme, LOVE IT! I also love how overall this drama is made comforting but exiting.
I would say if you are planning to watch this drama, GO FOR IT!! For now I've honestly enjoyed it A LOT. I can't wait for the rest of the episodes to be published and to see what's going to happen. I'll probably write an another review when the drama has been fully published, but for now, this shall be all.

What a highly misunderstood and underrated drama.
IT IS NOT A FLUFFY ROM-COM - hence the bad ratings of viewers who picked the drama for the wrong reasons. If you want a no-brainer, no-depth, unrealistic rom-com: watch « a business proposal », exact opposite of this one.It is a PSYCHOLOGICAL drama, a very interestingly written adult (romance) drama, abt people, their values & moral compass, behaviours & what motivates them, office politics & greed, compromise or stay true to oneself & principles, what they do of their failures, success, how they heal & move on, or stagnate in past grievances & jealousy, what is love & marriage, first love and « white » lies, regrets & clean breaks, about trustworthiness & doing what is right, about taking one’s’ responsibilities, having faith & trusting, genuinely caring & supporting. Marriage out of love or reason… 2nd chances
There is Such a psychological depth in the characters, their behaviours and motivations are clear, consistant, endearing,. Their backgrounds, psychologies & development arcs are greatly defined & gripping. The storyline is smart, well paced, meaningful, gripping, with really cute & funny situations.
So It is not a simple romcom with contract marriage, but a psychological & HEALING DRAMA. And a wonderful one.
Some regret that they broke up, in the last few episodes, before reuniting. Or that these last 4 episodes are poorly written or the ending is rushed.
Or say he went back to his girlfriend.
What a total nonsense…
Sorry to say, but those viewers didn’t pay attention or simply understand at all what was going on…
The 4 last ep are not poorly written but awesome: you don’t feel that they break up and you know that it is just a question of time before they reunite. It is explained to us by the 2 of them to their friends, over and over. during the break, XK and YM keep their wedding rings & expressing their feeling for each other, even if to 3rd parties, so this is not stressful at all. The break only serve at confirming and reinforcing their feelings for each other. Never 1mn did they consider reuniting with their exes…Xk broke & worked in the background to help her achieve her business goal, that was hindering her, so that she has the time to reflect on what she wants, and comes to him willingly out of love.
If it takes time, it is because he helps her without her knowledge, and she wrongly was led to think she has missed him and has gone to his ex…
But this time and space is needed for her to come clear with what she truly wants and has never taken the time to reflect on, because her career goal was her priority.
Note that the drama is written by the same author as The Psychologist and He Dun’s happiness.
Xu Kai and Yang mi perfectly portray their characters. And the Lyrics of the OST are perfect to underline the purpose of the drama.
********************************************
Spoilers to better understand.
In the first 3 ep., we are given key elements explaining XK & YM personalities.
1. the AGE GAP between the main leads is nothing: XK is almost 30 (28 as told in ep 7) / YM is 32 (ep2), so this is not a Noona story.
2. Living a simple life is his choice. He’s out of the rat race to success & appearances. He’s not interested in fake things. Only meaningful & genuine.
3. He’s TRADING STOCK from home, not to become rich but for his simple needs and living expenses, refusing to give up what he believes to be his acquired freedom & peace of mind for a meaningless career. He has left his job due to unfair circumstances, and hasn’t yet healed and forgiven, after 4 years.
4. he’s far from being immature or a loser. Cf. ep.2 : he was SUCCESSFUL in his former job & owns half of the beautiful house he’s currently living in with his parents). he is very insightful & smart (IQ of 148): he’s able to tell YM what she does wrong in her job when she doesn’t see it, advise her either from a relationship or financial analysis & advisory standpoint. He supports & complements her work-wise, she secretly admires him, like he does admire her assertiveness & professional qualities.
5.,They have perfect UNDERSTANDING of each other, even w/o exchanging.
At the beginning of ep3, we learn why she chose him to impersonate her fake husband, w/o knowing him. It was not random. Before they actually met by chance, she was moved by the things he wrote on Weibo several years ago. Even if he has deleted it, she can still quote some of his writing. She found herself in his sensitivity. that’s the reason why despite learning that he’s used to impersonate her husband, after being mad at her, he agrees to go along with her for a given time. Not just because he needs his mother to stop pressuring him, but because he found s.o. who truly understands how he feels & thinks.
Numerous situations in the drama show their mutual understanding, respect & appreciation, from the start.
What brings them together is a similar sensitivity, moral compass and values. They are both INTROVERTS who have been hurt by life,….NOT POLAR OPPOSITES. They just chose 2 different roads.
Their main DIFFERENCE is their ASPIRATIONS IN LIFE. When they meet, He is not interested in making a lot of money any longer, he just wants to live a peaceful & burden free life, while she’s career driven, with no wish to have a love life whatsoever.
His story with Ym will however enable him to male peace with his past and move on, and find a position aligned with his outstanding capabilities. But YM knows his worth and never expected that from him.
She always admired his brain and heart, and never considered him for a mere housewife.
He is the Perfect husband because he is understanding and supportive in all the right ways. The perfect reliance as he said.
The way they fall in love is a treat to watch.
6. It perfectly makes sense that they divorce. In ep.36, bc of what he heard, he asks her if she loves him, and she’s unable to confess her feelings… he asks her to clearly think abt what this marriage means to her. He has understood that he is her shield from life, and not her partner, her reliance as he’s says.so he believes it is indeed a fake marriage for her, that she’s not mentally ready yet (confirmed ep39)
She regrets agreeing to the divorce, but says to her friend that she agreed bc « it was indeed a fake marriage: if they have a future together, it cannot grow on lies. So they have to terminate the lie before they can begin a new life together» And sometimes, only time and distance can help you see.
The drama is about that: Building relationships on sound foundations.
An awesome and epic drama.
How lucky she is to indeed have found the perfect husband
And I Wish I had been younger when this drama was released… ;) it is a lesson for life.

A Must Watch for All Modern Women !!!
The Rom-Com Tele-Series is a Certified Global Hit … The Modern Day Series features Lady Lawyer Qin-Shi wonderfully portrayed and fashionably brought to life on-screen by the naturally talented Yang Mi as a torchbearer advocate of women's rights and feminism on the rights of women to equality in the workplace and for equal pay, as well as equal rights within marriage and equality of single women, fight against gender stereotypes and performative behaviors and for protection against sexual harassment and assault. Amidst such challenges unexpectedly meets her knight in shining armor Yang Hua, a subtle and pragmatist equally portrayed wonderfully by Xu Kai.For All Modern Women A Must Watch !!!

Story
The story starts mediacore as the main leads get into a fake marriage. It's getting interesting as there are more interactions leading to love sparks between them. Successful hardworking female leads are common in Chinese drama but it was the first time I watched a jobless and got nothing but intelligent-minded male lead. Until the late 20s episode, I was still optimistic about the story. Going to 30s eps, it starts getting messed up. I don't see the need to bring up Yao Yao and Wang Jiesen. It gets worse when many characters act out of their usual character resulting in 36-40 'accident'.
Acting/Casts
1. Yang Mi and Xu Kai act perfectly. Yang Mi's body language portrayed a strong female lawyer perfectly. Xu Kai's eyes and facial expression conveyed Yang Hua's dejected feelings very well. When both of them are together, their chemistry is the best it can be.
2. Li Ze Feng also acted his character nicely. His tone isn't monotone like many supporting casts I used to watch. When he's talking to Wu Fei, Qin Shi, and when he works are all slightly different.
3. Wang Zi Xuang's act made me speechless. Though the story makes her character like that, is there really no better way to portray it? I lose hope when she keeps screaming and unnaturally doing excessive breathing whenever she's angry. No need to say when I see no tears while she acts sadly sobbing in front of Tang Jun Hui.
Music
Mao Buyi's songs are never disappointing. His unique voice makes the scenes touch my heart much more.
Mao Buyi - Don't Worry (Ending Theme Song) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYXHsYWq2kE
Yisa Yu's lyric phrase "Go away with me tonight" keeps lingering on top of my head.
Yisa Yu - Law of Love https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i00jDKx1chg
Definitely will add both songs to my Spotify playlist.
Zhang Bichen's song is a bit surprising, in addition, it's a jazzy song. I didn't notice it was her when I first heard it until I saw it on the OST list.
Zhang Bichen - Commendation of Love (Theme Song) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VllNLjlDGx0
Liu Meilin - Little Sweet Drama (Opening Theme Song)
Liu Xi Jun - Excuse
Overall She and Her Perfect Husband is a good drama, just might be not our 'perfect' drama. I might rewatch it sometimes but for sure I will skip 30s eps straight to the last scenes of the final episode.
