Wisa vs. Noina

Overall this drama was a quick watch that made good on its promises of romance and comedy. I haven’t watched many Thai dramas so I can’t speak on how it compares to other titles, but it was certainly entertaining considering my regular gravitation towards c-dramas and k-dramas.
It was formulated in a familiar way, but not incredibly predictable.

What was good about it?

1. The actresses and actors were all pleasant to look at, and I think I’ve found my favorite Thai actress in the main character “Ying Ying,” (Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul or ‘Baifern’). Really beautiful and carried her character well.

2. The story line was perfect for all the hilarity that ensued. At the start BFFs Ying Ying and Noina were two peas in a pod, running into all kinds of trouble.

3. ‘Pang’ who was the older sister and ‘Paper’ the young nephew added lots of adorable and relatable moments that reflected what you see in a family. I enjoyed their scenes because they gave me a sense of what Thai relationships are like between sisters, family, and friends. Wholesome and cute!

What were the not so good parts?

1. NOINA!!!!!! Between her and Wisa who was the initial villain, I think Noina really takes the cake. At first the dynamic between Ying Ying and Noina was admirable; life long besties trudging through life together that shared an equal amount of craziness, BUT as things progressed it became painfully obvious how dislikable Noina’s character was. She never contributed anything to the big scheme to make Dr.Korn her husband and always messed the situation up. Now, this alone wouldn’t have bothered me if it wasn’t for how much she complained and screeched like a spoiled brat about not getting what she wanted. It also appeared like she couldn’t read a room properly i.e. the instance where Dr.Korn announces his canceled his wedding and she jumps from her seat to cheer and shout, like how unsympathetic and insensitive, truly! She was no better than the evil, cheating Wisa, all Noina cared about was marrying a man with wealth, a handsome face, pedigree and a desirable career. She was shallow, annoying, ungrateful, petty and obnoxious. I was absolutely LIVID after Noina’s fight with Ying Ying because of the accusations that YY planned to take Dr.Korn the whole time, after everything that YY did to help her friend, even so far as denying her own happiness for the rotten Noina’s dream wedding. What really aggravates me though, is that Noina already knew that she didn’t love Dr.Korn and that she was growing feelings for Dr.Pat and yet still wanted the former. There is no denying, that Noina knew Dr.Korn’s first love was not herself, but Ying Ying and that he didn’t like her at all. Noina just lusted after whatever Ying Ying had; Dr.Korn, attention, and achievements. The terrible thing is that YY wasn’t some attention seeking twat that just stole everything from Noina, she was simply a natural at attracting people to her and at being noticed, it was her kindness and personality that made people like her. I have no doubt that if Noina had made her thoughts known, and told YY how she felt inferior, left on the sidelines and all that, Ying Ying would certainly have embraced her and included her more. All in all Noina was a pain to watch and difficult to understand. Glad she’s only a fictional character because her actions really got on my nerves.

2. Ying Ying and Dr.Korn got together and only had happiness in the absolute last minutes of the last episode. I felt like they deserved more time together before closing the whole show off. Either way they made a cute pair it’s just a shame it took so long for them to be able to couple up, lol.

*This was written with respect to the actors, I am simply giving my opinion on the plot and character they played*

46 Days - A Delightful Thai Comedy Drama with Baifern Pimchanok and Mild Lapassalan

Introduction:
"46 Days" emerges as a compelling Thai drama, featuring the notable actresses Baifern Pimchanok and Mild Lapassalan in a refreshing comedy romance. For those seeking a light-hearted series with a touch of drama, this show stands out, placing a spotlight on the enduring bond between two best friends amidst the complexities of love and relationships.

Plot Overview:
At its core, "46 Days" revolves around the lives of childhood best friends, Ying Ying and Noina, each with distinct beliefs and personalities. The former, portrayed by Baifern Pimchanok, is a career-focused blogger, while Mild Lapassalan embodies the latter, a romantic at heart longing for the perfect partner. The narrative takes an unexpected turn with the introduction of Korn, a kind-hearted doctor with a penchant for following his parents' wishes. As Noina, influenced by a fortune teller's false prediction, sets her sights on Korn—already engaged to Wisa, another actress/blogger—Ying Ying steps into action. With 46 days until Korn's impending wedding, Ying Ying endeavors to play matchmaker and convince him to call off the engagement, leading to a series of comedic events.

Highlight - Unveiling of True Feelings:
The series culminates in a poignant revelation during the final episode. While the twist of Korn's true feelings being for Ying Ying may be considered somewhat cliché, the execution by the director and writer adds a layer of emotion and depth to the storyline. It serves as a satisfying resolution to the intricate web of relationships woven throughout the drama.

Character Analysis:

Ying Ying (Baifern Pimchanok): Baifern Pimchanok's portrayal of Ying Ying is a standout performance. The character is depicted as a woman with a robust personality, fiercely protective of Noina. Beyond her role as a matchmaker, Ying Ying grapples with personal challenges, showcasing a multi-dimensional character with a remarkable depth of emotion.

Noina (Mild Lapassalan): Mild Lapassalan brings Noina to life with a nuanced performance. Noina, a character with a bubbly exterior and a desire for love, undergoes significant development. Her initial portrayal as an attention-seeker evolves into a more complex character, driven by insecurities and a longing for the kind of affection her best friend receives.

Korn (Nonkul Channon): Nonkul Channon's portrayal of Korn is noteworthy, even though the character might appear slightly overshadowed by the strong presence of the female leads. Moments of confrontation with his parents offer glimpses into Korn's internal struggles, showcasing Channon's acting capabilities.

Acting and Music:
The chemistry between Baifern Pimchanok and Mild Lapassalan is a highlight, particularly during emotionally charged scenes and moments of conflict. While Nonkul Channon's performance may be perceived as slightly reserved, this could be attributed to the narrative's emphasis on the female leads. The lively and enjoyable music complements the overall tone of the drama, enhancing its entertainment value.

Conclusion:
"46 Days" successfully navigates the delicate balance between comedy and drama, presenting a well-paced plot that avoids unnecessary complications. Baifern Pimchanok and Mild Lapassalan's stellar performances elevate the series, making it a compelling watch. Despite minor nuances, the director and writer skillfully craft a narrative that revolves around the enduring sisterly bond, making "46 Days" a highly recommended addition to the world of Thai dramas.

Interesting and a fun ride.

The first few episodes was really fun, never been bored watching this series so far. The plot was unique and will pique your curiosity on what's going to happen next as the characters get entangle with each other's fate. Light and entertaining but also relatable at some parts.

And the cast was superb, Baifern, Mild, Nonkul, Off, and P'Jennie! It's chaotic and will definitely make you laugh. I am watching this for OffMild crumbs but I'm falling at the chemistry of Baifern and Nonkul right now. And the friendship of Yingying (Baifern) and Noina (Mild) was so adorable! Their schemes get me a secondhand embarrassment but I'm staying to see the end of this!

What I need now is patience to wait every week. Excited for the story to fully unfold!

Good Enough

Thai Drama '46 Days' is a light rom com with a crazy prompt which, however, the cast and the producers make it work.

The one thing that works for the drama splendidly is the pace. The romance wasn't rushed, but it took its time to be properly developed, solving the problems that had occurred first and then jumping into more trouble. The love story itself was pretty interesting and the couple had chemistry, with few though romantic moments between them. The second couple was adorable too. As for the strongest relationship of the drama, that was the sisterhood between the two main characters, a relationship that was both interesting and created some warm and sweet moments. Finally, the drama tackled many subjects under the umbrella of the comedy element, such as the family drama of the main lead as well as her sisters, but with all the care and attention it was needed when it came to more sensitive matters.

So, overall, 7 out of 10.

It was fun but borderline problematic

Scenes where her sibling was misgendered were not ok for me. The acting and chemistry are off the ROOF AND THE PLANET. Casting is the best part of the show. It was light hearted until I felt it being slightly obsessive and irritating. I wondered that a lot of trouble could be saved if certain things did not happen (which were purely voluntary actions) . I really loved to see mild and jumpol together again. The chaos was expected though. If you can't put up with continuous pursuit of one's groom and the consequences surrounding it for long then you may click off easily. There is an obvious test for patience in such series.

Romances e amizades

O elenco considerei quase perfeito.
