This three-part documentary explores the director’s personal experience in connection with the modern history of Korea. It also shows how an individual saturated by dominant ideology correct the distorted facts. The first part deals with the slaughter of the innocent people at Geumjung Cave with the films shot during the Korean War stored in the US National Archives. The second part interviews the women who experienced the Gwangju Democratization Movement. The third part examines how these historical events affect the director. The historical events are facts, but different views have created many conflicts, dividing the country into parts, hostile to one another. By learning the hostility unconsciously when young and consciously correcting it in adulthood, the director experiences the contradiction of the Korean society. (Source: JIFF) Edit Translation
