What?

*WARNING*
This small drama is actually weirder than the synopsis made it out to be. It was an interesting story line, which was why I had began watching it but it was just weird. Plain weird. If you like weird things, this is a drama for you. One of the benefits is that it's not that long so you can watch it in one fell swoop.

However, you can be extremely weirded out. What a ridiculous storyline. It's cute sure... but not very attention grabbing. If you want to attempt this, go for it! Just prepare yourself for weird, cringey, cheesy lines.

Meh

This was mehh. First of all this could have been longer and more planned. The way they did it made it weird. It was just rushed. Like from episode 2-5 she was his "daughter". I don't even know where the feelings magically came from. And in episode six all of a sudden they're confessing feelings left and right. And then a month later after NOT SEEING EACH OTHER he wants to marry her. Lmao. I WISH. Anyways I stayed for the sister she was cuteee.

Almost forgot about the "invisible rain in episode 5-6. Lmao. Were we supposed to imagine the rain ??? I'm still confused lol.

Damn it was confusing.

Gosh it was weird, I mean really weird. The whole story was a quite a lot mess and the concept also though I liked that little girl she was so cute and the visuals of actors are good. First of all how he become father of them it was weirdest plot. Okay you made them their dad then what's with the romantic feelings lol... Oops it's genre is romance so you can show romance even with nothing. So then they both develop out of nowhere okay it was his love at first sight but what about her when did she started to like him and why? Ah I really bad for her friend....

So overall even it's just a short web drama I don't recommend it.

Just adorable...

First let me say, this is a plot that should not work and should feel strange. Plus, the whole idea of a guy adopting the older sister (even on paper) seems very odd since she is a legal adult, but I LOVE the little sister and him being her "Dad" is adorable. The older sister and the "Dad" are cute together, but there isn't really an ick factor because she's 23....not remotely a kid, and he's only 5 years older than her. Plus the little sister actually sets up the contract and the older sister is sort of the "plus 1" for the plan. So, somehow it all works. Is it odd...yes. But it's a mini drama with only 6 episodes so a lot can be forgiven since there is very little time to tell the story.

I found this show adorable. I enjoyed it a lot and I'm so glad I watched it.

Adorable, fast paced, short drama with a cringe trope

I LOVED this drama. It was short, straight to the point and adorable. It was also quite fast paced which is why I think a lot of people didn't like, or maybe understand this drama.

I loved how adorable this drama was. Despite it being extremely unrealistic and cliche, it wasn't in the least bit cringe. It had me smiling from ear to ear throughout every episode. The cast was perfect and the acting was also really good, especially for this type of, usually cringe trope, drama.

The male lead is handsome as hell, something I usually never mention, but he really fit his role. I love how the story was told, with it being mostly from the FL's prospective, but each episode would end, or even midway though, showing the important scenes from the ML's prospective.

The female lead was smart, reasonable and had an adorable relationship with everyone. She reminded me of the FL from Extraordinary You . The little sister was also really adorable and I loved how she brought the male lead into their lives.

I also loved the ending of this drama, despite how short it was, it was able to have an unexpectedly closed happy ending. The ending really couldn't have been better.

Not Good Enough

" Legally, Dad " was a quick, rushed and predictable.

The story had authenticity in it, with the random stranger picking up two sisters to be his family. However, it wasn't handled well. The story was predictable and even the twists were overused. The pace was just too fast and it didn't give the characters time to progress their relationship and be properly developed. The ending was almost laughable (sorry...)

Other than that, the performances were okay, and everyone in the cast did a good job with their characters. Even the little girl gave a decent performance.

So, overall, three out of ten.

Decide Youself!

If you are wondering how is this drama. I made a short video of full drama. The duration of the video is just 4 minutes where you know the basic story of drama.

Orphan Ah Young is a financially struggling 23-year-old who takes care of her 8-year-old sister Dan Bi while juggling part-time jobs. One day a 28-year-old man Yoo Sang appears in front of Ah Young offering to be her dad through a signed agreement.

More music than character development...

*outline*
Considering the drama was so short, it was a given there wouldn't be much to the story. I was actually surprised at how the plot turned out to be like when I actually watched the drama. I was expecting something more lowkey and dry but I still went ahead and just watched the whole thing at 3am on a school morning because of sheer boredom. Compared to my usual reviews, I don't have much to say.

*analysis*
STORY : My eyes were genuinely closing after around episode 3, but that was just because I was tired. However, I still continued to watch it since the ending seemed unclear to me. It was interesting in the aspect I didn't know how the ending would come to be a happy ending (because web dramas always have a happy ending). The confession only caused content for me, I was satisfied with the way things turned out but it didn't cause a large reaction from me. The kiss scene didn't cause anything inside me either. I sort of ended up watching it just for the sake of it. On the other hand, there was quite a good pace to the drama and I clearly saw good build up of emotions.

ACTING / CAST : There was lack of character development; I think the only character that had even slightly evolved was Sul Yoo Sang. One thing I didn't like from the very beginning was the fact I noticed Lee A Ra was wearing makeup. Usually I don't see children wear any/too much makeup in any drama, so I was quite disappointed. This is the reason society has beauty standards we can't keep up with anymore. I'm glad the makeup artist used less makeup after the first 2 episodes but from the beginning I got a bad impression of where I assumed the crew's importance lied. Lee A Ra almost wore more makeup than Lee Hyun Joo. However, despite the whole drama about the makeup, the acting was on point. Every character stuck to their roles and it never felt like a 'drama'. In fact, it felt like something realistic despite having a little bit of a fantasy feel to it. I mean... 'a chaebol becomes a dad, and then turns into a boyfriend within the span of only a couple weeks'. Then again, it's a web drama so fantasy was sort of a given.

MUSIC : I felt like there was too much focus on the music, that the story was entirely forgotten. I heard more tracks in the span of 11 minutes than I did in any other. This is probably why the story ended up being a little dry. The music displayed the change of emotions really well, however. I could feel how emotions were being built up throughout the drama.

REWATCH VALUE : Medium. True, I didn't like the drama a huge amount but it's actually an easy watch. There were only 6 episodes and 11 minutes per episode, it actually felt like a movie. And I didn't get bored of it either. However, I think I won't miss any of the character especially; maybe only Kim Dan Bi's mischievousness and Sul Yoo Sang's giving nature.

Watched for the eye candy

Story
--> This started out slow but fast-forwarded towards the end of the miniseries. I liked how they establish and introduced the characters but they sped up the storyline towards the end. It was like--he liked her the first time he saw her, they fell on each other (literally), he opened up, he fought the second lead which was the girl's best friend for a long time and won, he confessed, they kissed, he left, she waited, he came back to her open arms. Okay, it's a cliche.

Acting
--> Their acting was so-so.

Cast
--> The leading man is so cute to look at I was able to finish this series. Dan Bi was adorable as well.

Music
--> I. AM. TONE. DEAF. So, I better leave this part and not comment on this one.

Rewatch Value
--> I'd still watch it again--I'd still watch HIM again.

the typical comic romance story (a webtoon adaptation so yeah)

well the title says it all,, i love shoujo romance but this one has such weird plot? it is going too fast and i dont see chemistry from the couple. i feel bad for her guy friend.... but he just easily gave her up after 7 years of having crush. 7 years. i can't understand him in that part.

honestly i'm watching it for choi kyunghoon since i love his past works but this one is such a letdown :c

the ending tho lmao they barely lived together but he proposed to her??!? just because she said she considers the thought of marriage? but she said it to her friend, not to him lol.

also danbi is so adorable she's the only okay character among all the other characters. i stan her.

I didn't like it

First, the story is unique, but it is clear how it will end, and this makes it very boring and does not invite Suspense , despite the shortness of the series, but it is very boring. Secondly, the acting is below average. We can say that it is bad.The youngest girl, her acting is more decisive than the main character . The main character looks like a person who cares about money and the girllooks like an idiot
I think that it is better if they make a second season which the main character betray the girl and the she returns to the second main character, but the younger girl remains in a relationship with the boy

Strange.

It's so so weird but if you ignore how weird the plot behind everything is it's not too bad?? It's actually quite cute, I'm a bit ashamed about it, the plot definitely hasn't been done before (I think??). The lead is nice to look at so maybe that made it easier to forget how weird this is. I don't know it wasn't awful just kind of strange, I was hoping Ahyoung and Juho would happen but that wasn't the point of the story so it wouldn't have happened. Honestly I probably wouldn't have watched this if it was longer, I watched with 1.5x speed just in case I wasted my time, which I don't think I did. I think it's a cute web drama but it definitely is creepy, so I can't give it a higher rating.
