Kaew Na Mah (2001)

A Thai Boran/myth/legend remake of the Horse Faced Princess. It's about Princess Nang Kaewmanee who is cursed and becomes ugly due to her literal horse face. One day, Prince Phra Pinthong, the son of Thao Phuwadol of Mithila City, came out to fly a kite outside the palace. The kite of Prince Pinthong struck a string of hemp that fell into the field. Princess Kaewmanee saw the kite and took it. When the prince asked for the kite back, Nang Kaew asked Phra Pinthong to accept her as his wife because she falls in love with him. Wanting to get the kite back, Phra Pinthong agreed to accept it, even though he hates her and tries everything possible to get rid of her. When Nang Kaewmanee finally entered the palace, she was mistreated. In addition, Pinthong and Thao Phuwadon devised a plan to get rid of her. They want Nang Kaewmanee to cut Phra Sumen from a mountain. While she was gone, Thao Phuwadol ordered Prince Pinthong to travel to another kingdom to marry a different person, Princess Tatsmali. Princess Tatsmali has evil intentions and causes war.
