Light & Hilariously Fun
It's light and definitively a romantic *comedy,* so if you're looking for something deep or serious, this isn't your drama. That being said, the comedy is, indeed, comedic! The physical comedy is amusing, the misunderstandings are but around funny things and not "if you literally asked one question everything would resolve itself" things, and the friendships that form are unexpected and hilarious. (Assassin-thief sismance for the WIN.) Both leads' acting was great, but the FL *carried* this for many scenes. Her acting and timing are excellent. I laughed so hard at the drunken martial arts posing scene with her and the ML. Are there unrealistic moments? Yes. But this romantic comedy knows what it is—it's very intentional, and you know it's not trying to take itself seriously.(Translation note: It helps to understand the English subtitles, some miscommunications, and the situations better when you know that Chinese uses only one pronoun for both male and female. So "tā" can mean him/her, his/her, or he/she. It's gender non-specific.)
As a gender-bender, it's not bad. They didn't hide her figure well, but her face, hair, and dress could pass as a boy, much more so than in many I've seen. And that she *doesn't* pull it off perfectly is noted early on, so it's not like everyone is pretending to be a brainwashed idiot and see nothing.
The character development isn't massively convincing, and some pieces of the story feel rushed or unexplained, but...hey, it's a short-form comedy. There are scenes of action, intrigue, and angst, but mostly it stays light. The story's serious points (politics, fighting, etc.) are only included as backdrop or fodder for the relationships among the main characters. The romance is slow to build, but very sweet once it picks up, and I like how they grow into a warrior power couple.
Much better than expected" is the summary phrase. Considering it's a comedy built with 10-minute episodes, my standards bar was set low, but this was so much unexpected fun!! I look forward to Season 2.

Good show and worth watching
This show had really good bones. If they had had a bigger budget and more time for each episode, I really think it could have rival. Some of the other historical dramas that come out in 2022.This story and plot was pretty good. There were no real subplots, but that is OK because there was not time. The characters were all pretty well developed, considering the short amount of time the drama had to work with.
The main phrase I have is for the cast. They manage to be versatile and show growth and flesh out their characters in a short amount of time. I thought they did a great job, and I would watch any of them again and something else.
A couple of side characters could’ve been developed a little more, but again they would’ve needed more time and a bigger budget to make this work.
It ends with a promise of season 2!! I’ll definitely watch

It's silly but cute and entertaining. and ML actor, where have you been all my life? Their chemistry of the couple and comic timing were great. FL is hilarious and does nice job pretending to be male. and the transformation once she puts on female clothes and makeup is remarkable. One of the best short series!
I decided to write a review as this short series deserves higher rating. Personally I feel this is one of the best short series!The story plot is interesting, light hearted, a little exciting and yet it has a touch of comedy romance. It is not draggy nor silly, production is of a higher standard compared to some other short series. The acting skills of the main leads are considered quite good. Overall it is worth watching.
Really hope there is part 2 as promised at the end. Hope to see the couple win the war and return to get marry and live happily ever after.

A good way to reel us in
OK - I took the bait. I enjoyed this first season (not knowing it was a Season 1) but I got to know the leads and their backgrounds, enough to be interested. Hopefully Season 2 will be equally interesting and then I will be invested!I like the ML a lot - and the FL too. No simpering miss, this one, and she fell hard and fast for her man and wasn't afraid to show it, and to sacrifice all for him. But he loved her too - too much to risk her life. Just a sweet chemistry. The jury is still out regarding her 'sister' and his second-in-command... but they could develop into a couple as well.
The villain is your typical villain, and I would like to see him get his Karma in the Second season. So, on we go - and hope for more of the same quality in both story and acting. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long.

Mini series, very light and sweet
I hope more vibes like this one that the main actors gave to this drama will come to more dramas.The female actress is truly unique, which I liked to see. Her comedy is on point and very funny! I would love to watch her do comedy again.
The male lead is also different from the typical male cast in dramas, which makes him special for that reason alone.
I really liked the pacing of the story.
I liked how the writer(s) avoided unnecessary mind games and showed the characters being pretty straightforward with their feelings and intentions.
The series is short but fun!

Funny female lead character with a sassy attitude that I enjoy in cross-genre roles
The drama in question comprises 31 episodes, each of which is only 10 minutes long. Despite the brevity of each episode, the storyline is impressively well-crafted, leaving no gaps in terms of plot and character development. I found myself constantly amazed by this feat, as the series manages to pack in all the necessary elements of a compelling love story within such a short timeframe.One of the things that stood out to me about this drama was the excellent portrayal of the female lead. She was not only physically believable in both genres, but also displayed a remarkable level of sassiness and maturity, avoiding the typical childish character tropes that can be so annoying. The chemistry between the two leads was palpable, and they made for a great match on screen. The plot was engaging and kept me hooked from start to finish, with a few laugh-out-loud moments thrown in for good measure. Overall, I thought this drama was very well done and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quick yet satisfying watch.
The show was aired in December 2022 with an explicit mention of a second season. I am eagerly awaiting its release and hope it arrives soon.

So Funny and Convincing FL as a Male
I have never came across a female lead acting as a man, which actually looks like a man. So much that at first I wasn't sure she was a man or a woman (I came across the video in YouTube so I didn't know the storyline at all).This video is great if you are having a bad day and need a laugh. As this is largely a comedy, expect this to be silly and accept loop holes accordingly. It still hurts when the moments call for sad moments.
