A Dedicated Life (1994)

Documentary-drama about Mitsuharu Inoue (井上 光 晴) in the form of an interview with him. Mitsuharu was a writer whose career flourished in the 1950s. He mainly wrote books related to the subject of war. He was also strongly associated with the communist party. It is worth mentioning that the biographical thread should be treated with some caution. Mitsuharu Inoue has over the years changed versions of many events and changed his role in them, including political ones. He also changed his mind about his youth and childhood and about the writing of some books (how much fiction, and how much truth is in them). It's the same with a movie where a lot of the facts don't match what he's been saying over the years. Also some parts, especiallly about his childhood were dramatized. Edit Translation
