In the 1980s, an attempt to find a true Korean film was initiated against commercial films that had alienated the public eye from political and social problems. College students with cameras entered the field and vividly captured the problems of all kinds of society. Through interviews with the University Film Federation, Seoul National University Yalassung, Jangsan Gotmae, and Bariter, we review the student film movement at the time.
