Jao Ying Kor Taan (2006)

Fahsai pretends to be crippled and begs on the streets for an illegal beggar Business run by Wichian, a man who has taken she and her mother under his wing when she was just a child. Although she works for him, she is also secretly stashing money for the hope of getting away with her mother and attending school in the future. One day she meets Phathaithep, a young journalist who's always looking for a new scoop. He notices that Fahsai's crippled leg often changes from the left to right and suspects that she is faking everything so he goes after her to get to the bottom of the story for a new scoop. Mistaken that he is the police coming to arrest her, she accidentally pushes him down an overpass, and this is where their story starts. They meet again, now knowing her secret that she is not truly a cripple or even a real beggar, he uses this to his advantage. He does not report her, rather he asks her to help him detangle his own family problems. His family wants him to marry a girl he does not want so in exchange he will help her get money to achieve her goal of going to school and also to get her out of the illegal business. He introduces her to his family and even asks her to marry him (in name only), but everything is not as easy as they seem, as Fahsai has personal problems with Wichian, who is constantly abusive toward her mother, and soon starts coming after Fahsai as a potential sexual partner.
