At the end of the Revolution of 1911, the remaining forces of the Qing Dynasty attempt to reestablish the monarchy. Shui Han Bing, a Tung Meng Hui’s member, lurks in the Feng Man Tang Company which belongs to the Feng family, and wants to make use of the relationship between the Feng family and hostile forces - Commander Feng to smash the plot of the enemy. Feng Ze Yao, the eldest son of the Feng family, is deeply in love with Shui Han Bing. By chance he knows the real identity of Shui Han Bing, but Shui Han Bing does not know it. In order to help Shui Han Bing, Feng Ze Yao acts in collusion with Commander Feng on the surface, but secretly provides Shui Han Bing with a lot of information. He repeatedly helps her to perform tasks successfully and protects her in silence. But Shui Han Bing only considers Feng Ze Yao as the running dog of Commander Feng and hates his guts. In order to thoroughly smash the feudal forces and resist the invasion of imperialism, the two young people who both have a common faith take a different way to devote themselves to the revolution and leave a moving story. They finally join to destroy Commander Feng’s plot, but Shui Han Bing dies bravely.
