Don't get the hype... it's still toxic.

7.0 Overall; entertaining, I enjoyed it, and the acting is really well done, but in the end, it has serious flaws that I can't look past.

It was good and had a more interesting plot than your typical Thai BL. That does not make it worth all the hype; it still has all the same problematic elements that your typical Thai BL has.

I love mafia related/crime stories. One of my favorite BL's is HIStory 3: Trapped. I remember when I first watched it, I wanted more but better-developed stories like that in BL. I thought Kinneporsche would be that, and it's definitely getting closer, but still has so much of the toxic sh** that I just can't stand it anymore. I watched this as it was airing, and could understand at the time that people were excited because we were getting something "different" and with a more developed plot than a typical BL. But that doesn't mean it deserves the hype it's getting— and the amount of unconditional love this series has garnered honestly baffles me. Like, it's good, it's entertaining— but there's still so much of the same toxic and disturbing tropes in it as the usual BL. It's not that different.

HIStory 3 Trapped did the mafia concept way better; cinematically, no BL beats ITSAY. In the end, Kinnporsche was entertaining but certainly does not reach the pedestal people like to put it on.

I want more series with serious, developed plots; Kinnporsche — I'd hoped would come close to that — missed entirely. It had a great premise and setup, but when it came down to it, it devolved into typical BL tropes of power imbalance, fetishized abuse, and "love makes it all okay." It threw the plot to the wind of coincidences, used the mafia as a backdrop more than anything else, and turned two interesting characters to mush once they "fell in love."

- Semi-spoilers ahead-

Honestly, when I watched this as it was airing and the stuff with Pete started going down, I remember searching comments for other people who found it disturbing or saw that it was an obvious case of VERY, VERY disturbing Stockholm syndrome, as Pete is kidnapped, abused physically, mentally, and even sexually— and then falls in love with his abuser. But literally… no one else seemed to have a problem with this, because their romance was… cute? Sexy? Because they liked Vegas? Their plot was so disturbing to me I could barely watch it. I liked Vegas too— was ready for him to be the best part of this drama— and he could have been, if what he did to Pete was framed differently. If it was framed as " Vegas is a very bad person who did some fucked up shit", if he'd consistently been considered the villain, he would have been a villain/character that I could really like. But instead... We got this weird fetishization of Pete/Vegas, this angle that because Vegas has an attitude of "Only I can abuse you" it's cute and romantic... This is exactly why there's so much toxicity in BL plots; because when it happens but fans like what the outcome is, they decide to ignore it.

The plot between the two male leads involved some of the same abuser/power imbalance dynamics, that in a regular show would have been called out but in a BL are seen as just elements used to increase tension and totally acceptable. And definitely when compared to Pete's storyline… it was mild.

While the mafia set-up made it different to other BL series, in the end, the details of it didn't amount to being so different. The best part of this show was Tankhun tbh. The only consistently interesting and redeemable character lmao.

I have long wished that the BL industry could get some better writers— not just in regards to skill, but in, I don't know if this is the right word, morals? I have not read the original book because so many fans have mentioned that it's even more graphic and disturbing than the series, and especially now with everything coming out about the writers and the power they held behind the scenes, things need to change. I wish there were better writers out there so studios don't have to give power, money, and attention to people who are abusive or perverted.

I feel so bad for the cast, to whom this filming period must have become a nightmare.

So many people are still hoping for a season two— I'm begging for there not to be one, for the sake of the actors. Not unless they can do it without the original writers (lol).

Kind of Fun Trash

I really do appreciate this drama but it's definitely not for the story, which at its most polite could be called meandering. Every head canon you can create for this story is better than what they actually put into this.

But what makes this show engaging and honestly fairly rewatchable is the cast - there's two pretty solid pairings in Milo/Apo and Bible/Build - I'm not sold on Jeff and Barcode, who could maybe play brothers but who I do not buy as romantic partners.

There is almost no fully formed idea in this script, which allows it to go off the rails when it needs to (a sex scene around bread? Tankhun? the healthiest sex scene happening between a couple half-kidnapped?) but also makes it less engaging at times. Generally speaking, I only really recommend this if you know what you're getting into.

The Best Action BL So Far!

After watching the first ep, I have to say that I'm impressed! The long wait time and anticipation won't let you down- the fighting choreography, cinematography, acting, and locations are all great quality!

The plot/concept is also new and refreshing, especially for a BL. I'm very excited to continue to see new locations and storylines with more fighting, chaos, and exciting moments. And almost all of the characters so far have depth with their own set of motives, so don't worry about seeing zero character development in the rest of the series. If you are looking for a mature, action-packed, spoicy BL, I'd recommend this for you!

Hardly a complete review— just my initial and final thoughts

Love the acting and characters. Like the actor for Porsche is AMAZING. I’ve never seen a better actor in these series. The plot is interesting (though at some points slow?). The story linked multiple stories together without them really connecting. The ending with the mother and that drag on of lies was boring and obnoxious. I was hoping for a bit more drama at some points, and it felt weird to transition from a serious event to everything being suddenly fine, even in the uncut version. I didn’t see the point in throwing in that Vegas/Pete plot line in near the end. It was also SO toxic and they still get together? Yeah no. That demerits points. It was also degrading to throw it in and have comedic scenes and music in the scenes between those scenes. Love the actor for Vegas though. He’s amazing and I love when he speaks English too. I wasn’t very interested in the Porchay/Kim plot line until it got dramatic. Chay’s love for Kim developed way too soon— within an episode of them getting together (though they made it seem longer than that later on the periods). The end and the DRAMA though?! I want them—need them—in another season or spin-off. Jeff’s acting and fight scene are amazing.

Disappointment <\3

I swear I can’t be the only one who was disappointed with this bl, like please tell me someone out there agrees with me when I say that storyline with Vegas and Pete was completely unnecessary

So essentially, I really loved everything about this bl except the story. The acting, cinematography, and music was all fenomenal and you can really tell the amount of effort and how high of a budget was put into this bl which I really do appreciate, it’s just that for me the story went down hill after the end of episode 7.

I really fell in love with the first 6 episodes of the series, it felt so refreshing and I could really see the great potential of the series. Episode 7 was good as well, except for the ending which felt extremely out of placed and like it was forced into the episode when it really didn’t need to be there. From there, the episodes started getting worse and worse. Like they really had to throw in the ex boyfriend arc lmfao that whole arc just felt like filler, but I mean it was still bearable for me so I still continued watching

I started growing disappointed in Kinnporsche when that whole Vegas and Pete torture chamber thing was going on which honestly disgusted me, and it angers me even more that when Pete had a very good opportunity to escape after Vegas’ pet died and he gave it up to go comfort him. Literally the same person who whipped him, stripped him and abused him for a whole week, and he still decided to help him because he felt bad. Bro name one mentally stable person who would give up the opportunity from escaping from his abuser to go comfort them after their pet died. It’s not even like the show tries painting the picture that their relationship is not okay, it honestly feels like fetishizing. And in case you continue to argue that there was artistic reasoning behind their relationship or smth like that, the creators of the book and show have been called out for grooming the actors while filming so obviously it’s not too far fetched to say that they were romanticizing the Stockholm syndrome sort of relationship Vegas and Pete had

I haven’t watched the last 2 episodes and I don’t plan to, so I can’t say anything abt the ending but tbh I rlly doubt it was actually good with the way episodes 8-12 were, but like you never know lol. This is really up to personal taste, and maybe it didn’t help that I’m not a huge fan of mafia bls mostly because I don’t rlly like the action genre that much, but still I loved HIStory 3 trapped (highly recommended if you haven’t watched it) and this bl still managed to disappoint me. I gotta give it to this series tho Porsche has gotta be one of the best characters I’ve ever seen in the bl universe so like maybe it wasn’t all that bad lmao

Almost Perfect

Kinnporsche has surprised me in so many aspects. I'm so glad that after 2 years, it's finally out, and of course, it only took me like a week to finish. It had everything going for it and more, I was worried about the production change and the switching of cast members, but it all turned out to be perfect -- well, almost. Kinnporsche is a dark and angsty mafia series, including humor and spice which made this series worthwhile and entertaining.

Let's Dive In.

Kinnporsche is the story of a mafia boss and a bartender who incidentally meet. Kinn hires Porche as his bodyguard and thing take off from there. We also have Pete and Vegas, the mafia's son and the Main family's bodyguard, as well as Kim and Porschay, the son of Korn and brother of Porche, whose stories add to the intensity of the series.

The one thing that pulls this series to be a top-notch watch is the action and the adventure. There's so much plot in this perfectly planned out series that it's impeccable. Everything falls at a steady tempo, and everything is revealed in a perfectly timed manner. I can't believe how much fun I had just on the story alone. The revelations, the impacts, the fighting sequences, the intensity, the anger, the hurt, the formulating of plans and pulling them through -- it was all just absolutely faultless.

Now, moving on to our main duo, Kinn and Porsche, I think I have a hate/love relationship with them. Outside of them being a couple, I enjoyed these two individually. Porsche was humorous and charismatic and a charm, while Kinn was serious and suave and brilliant. In the beginning, I wasn't really feeling the tension between these two. At best, they formed a nice friendly relationship, but I have a hard time understanding how and why Kinn is so quick to fall for Porsche, and him being attractive doesn't count cause so was Ken and Big and Pete and Pol and Arm. But as the story progresses, it gets better. I really started feeling it towards the end. But I do wish their chemistry between one another didn't ratio between platonic and romantic, and only held the latter. I do appreciate that both of the actors are so comfortable with one another during their sex scenes, which have to be one of the most erotic and sensual heat scenes I've ever seen, while also being filmed so intimately and with very steady care. It was so nice to watch a couple on-screen have genuine sex, with the groping and grinding and thrusting and kissing and moaning and even at some points, revealing their climaxes. Big applause for that. I'll give them a 7/10.

Moving on to Pete and Vegas, I'm probably the anomaly here when I say I didn't enjoy these two at all. However, individually, I loved them. I loved Vegas as the villain, who was demeaning and manipulative and scary, practically pulling me in overload at how sexy and evil he was. And the same goes for Pete, who I enjoyed his very quirky and corny side, as well as being serious and endearing. But together, these two don't work for me. And this is a mafia series, so I won't go into how toxic and terrible their relationship is. However, I cannot fathom how and why Pete would fall for someone who physically, emotionally, mentally, and sexually abused him, kidnapped him, and tortured him. There's just nothing that will change my mind on how sickening it is to watch someone that has done so much harm to you in every which way becoming your lover. Yes, they've spent a lot of alone time together, but it still just doesn't make any rational sense. I found the scenes where they were both being vulnerable to one another great, but it still doesn't justify Vegas' actions. By the end, I pretty much just skipped their scenes. Vegas was obviously a man who was hurting and hurting pretty bad, and I think once he gets better, I would enjoy seeing him grow into a better person and then try to pursue Pete. I hope if there is to be a season two, that they focus on the emotions Pete will have afterwards, and maybe even find him another love interest to start a love triangle (Which I was kind of hoping would be Ken, but whatever). I'll give them a 4/10.

Moving onto the couple that made me stay, Kim and Porschay. The minute I wandered onto these two lovely humans, I was so excited. Chay is this bubbly and giddy dude who has this very novice crush on the brooding and stoic Kim. But the series did the two of them so dirty. With very little screen time together, comically rushed chemistry and a terrible ending. This show is all about lust and romance, and they had neither. I found Chay's crush on him to be cute, but it grows a little weary when the "I love you's" come into play. It's all too rushed and too quick. And then their ending is heartbreaking and sad, but still not enough. We don't even get a kiss between these two, and yet they're built up to have so much angst against one another without any leverage to pull from. Their story felt so incomplete that I feel the writers had something in store for Kim and Chay, but because of the change in actors, they had to go the less spicier route. But again, this series is full of exoticness and sex, so having not even a kiss is ridiculous. This still doesn't stop me from loving these two, and even them being my favorite couple out of the three. If they can manage to pull this couple from the ground and turn them into the best watch of season 2, then I'm all for it. I'll give them an 8/10 (High score specifically because of episode 9 when Chay announces to Kim he likes him and he's just so nervous and giddy and shy, followed by the cutest kiss on the cheek and a tentative hand on the waist.)

There were a lot of side characters, but they all play into the story quite well. I couldn't remember everybody's name, like Kinn's close friends, and the same with Porsche's, but I still liked them. Khun was by far the most endearing character out of them all. He is wild and expressional and silly and weird, but he also knew when to be serious and take his flamboyant traits and use them for his own good. Ken was an excellent secret traitor, although, I am sad they killed him off. I loved Big's expressions and I really enjoyed watching him. The rest were decent and did their job good too.

The story of the Main and Minor family is so freaking good that it blows my mind. Where we now leave off is so upsetting cause if a second season is to happen, I fear it might be a while. I can't wait to find out why the mom looks so pathetically unenthusiastic as her children whom she hasn't communicated with in years are hugging her.

Ratings:

Story: 9.5 - As perfect as it could've been. It's so enthralling that if the romance for this series doesn't do it for you then the plot will. I'm only taking off half a star cause I don't like just how many people they killed off. Although I loved Ken, his was understandable, but I feel like some of the others were just unnecessary. Other than that, it was brilliant.

Acting: 8 - Really good! Tong, Apo, Mile, and Bible stand out the most, with the others following close behind. Barcode is good, but I think he could be better. Jeff at times feels a bit too stiff. Some of the scenes that needed those emotions also weren't a hundred percent there. But it doesn't take away from the story, so an 8 feels suffice enough.

Music - 6.5: Didn't really pay much attention to it, but I know I didn't like the theme song. Felt like a completely different mood than the series.

Rewatch Value - 3: I don't really ever rewatch, but I could see myself going back to watch certain parts, maybe like a compilation of all of Kim and Chay's scenes on YT.

I'm nervous about the thought of a season 2, but there's so much more to see with these characters that I'm ready! I recommend this to a mature audience, obviously. There is some serious no-no's that a lot of people can't handle, so I say be mentally okay enough to get threw this (more so Pete and Vegas' story).

first one!

I just wanted to write a review, so don't mind the scores yet. I have been waiting for KinnPorsche to air, and it's finally out. The first episode is so good and already told us a lot about Porsche's personality, a bit more than Kinn's for now since Porsche is the central protagonist. I also liked the changes the directors made, it suited the story well. The fight scenes were amazing, the cinematography is beautiful and the main leads are doing a great job (not to mention the budget ?? shocked). I read most part of the novel and I'm looking forward to the amazing chemistry I know they will deliver throughout the series. I have been following the cast's social medias since the beginning, so I already know some of the actors' skills. It was worth the wait, I can see they worked a lot for this. Sending my support for the cast and crew, I hope we all have fun with the rest of the episodes!

edit: I was hoping they would cut AT LEAST the s.a scene between Kinn and Porsche, because, honestly, it's pointless when you realize the dynamic they deliver has so much potential to be something light compared to other pairings in the show. However, I'll salve this take of mine for my review regarding the entire show!

edit 2: I finished the series but i don't have even one bit of energy to write my thoughts... Just know that I don't like plots with sexual assault between a potential couple, kinda ruined it for me. However, it's clear that Kinn and Porsche care for each other very much, so I admit I find them really cute in general. I'm all for Porsche and Porchay's happiness!! Kisses for Tankhun as well, lovely guy <3

Pretty decent BL

Overall, it was a pretty good show. It really gets you on your feet, wanting more each time you finish an episode. I found the show pretty enjoyable on a Saturday night. The show does contain a lot of triggering materials, so make sure you read those so you don't have any surprises (?) when watching.

The plot was pretty messy to put it into simple words. Always having plot twists, LOL. I found the plot twist pretty fun and exciting since I'm pretty into those kinds of shows. The plot could have been better. I haven't read the novel, so I'm not exactly sure how the real story goes, but in the show I feel like some of the characters could have been more "close" to each other in like a friendship way. I want to see them interact and grow with each other more. The plot didn't really seem to go anywhere except for people just fighting all the time. Also, the ending was not really the best. It felt incomplete. I really do hope for a season 2 to clear up some misunderstandings and give more information to viewers.

With the cast and acting they did great! I really liked the cast. They did a great job portraying the characters. But the acting could have been a little better. Like with the stunts they could have been a little more realistic in a way (?)They did do great on the fighting scenes that was fun to watch. But overall it was really good acting. I would maybe say one of the best acting I've seen in a BL.

A BEST MIX OF EVERYTHING!

Since U all know the CRAZE for this BL drama, I'm going to keep my review very short! :)

One of the BEST mix of BL + action + crime + romance + comedy + Violence + BDSM ! (Haha)

AN ICONIC SERIES!
(In All Ways😂 and in EVERY CATEGORY :) , both Good n Bad , haha )
(Every Category includes the EXPLICIT CONTENT too :) )

ONE OF A KIND!!
(in both positive n negative sense, haha )

CONTAINS UNACCEPTABLE THEMES of VIOLENCE EMOTIONALLY and PHYSICALLY.

Well written and well directed.
Production, Cinematography, everything is Awesome.
Well acted by everyone , Very Bold Acting🤭

All the couples are well fit to each other (since they share the same personality like KinnPorsche or trauma like VegasPete)
(Chay looks too young for Kim, oops!)

Oh my Tankhun, why are you such a drama queen always! Haha

OST is the BEST!

GO n JUST WATCH IT!

(BE AWARE of the BOLD NC SCENES, RELATED THEMES like BDSM and VIOLENCE )

Kinn and Porsche made me cry

10 points for KinnPorsche. I love the way their relationship developed, hardships made them love and understand each other more and more. If you give Kinn a gun and tell him to kill Porsche, he'd better kill himself. One more thing that made their relationship so intense is the acting of the main actors. They did so so so well, their chemistry is so great.

Kinn is a great boss. He values his people, he is willing to take all burdens for his brothers, he even sacrifies himself just to protect his beloved one. He has to handle so many things, he almost lost himself. Then Porsche came and became his sunshine.

I've been seeing many fukin haters tryin to drag this series and the main couple down by distortion. If you really wanna fully understand the whole story, watch it and read the analysis of every episode. A simple eye blink, or hand gestures have underlying meanings. There are lots of valuable hidden messages in KinnPorsche's scenes. KinnPorsche got worldwide regconition and there're reasons for that :)

The main actors nailed it, there actin is so real. I have nothing to say about the side couple vegaspete, but i see many of their stans are doing stupid and disgusting things again :) blaming the main couple for having so much time on screen while this series is named KinnPorsche, distorting and talking bad about the main couple relationship, trying to hype their favs by dragging others down. This is the situation in the fandom as vegaspete stans never stop picking fight and distorting.

It raised a high standard for Bl series production

•KinnPorsche is by far one of the most legendary bl series till date. The mafia concept is a pretty high stakes one, given how rich mafias are portrayed in fiction and how action packed their lives are. But KinnPorsche defied all the odds and definitely rose up to the sky. And I can definitely say that it deserved every ounce of support that it got.

•KinnPorsche's synopsis is fairly simple, and if underestimated, can feel as if you're watching a Wattpad story come to life. The romance between a mafia boss and his bodyguard. Thought that nothing unusual? Well, the series biggest advantage is how they developed this dynamic. Instead of showing us cheesy scenes and a fast moving relationship, we got to see a good amount of tension between them. The ups and downs, the secret attacks they had deal with. They conflicts within the Theerapanyakul kept me hooked and I was surprised to find the family divided as the major and minor. The various secrets they hid were also interesting and got me gripping on seat, desparate to uncover these hidden truths. And, being from the mafia family ultimately brands you with some red flags. Kinn and Vegas had their fair share of toxic traits and their rivalry was inevitable. There was comedic relief in form of Tankhun and the bodyguards at times. This allowed to us viewers to have some relief and not feel like we are just stuck in the suspense and action forever.

•Kinn and Porseche's relationship is not entirely perfect. To be honest, Kinn had more than a few moments were he was an inconsiderate jerk towards Porsche. Though it was to protect him, I still think he could've handled it a bit better, instead of making poor Porsche suffer. Porseche's dominance and assertiveness was really a charm and it was refreshing to see how he had his own rules and the way he slapped Kinn in that bathroom scene was just a surprise for me. MileApo's chemistry was top-notch and their equally dominating presence and personality made me even more invested in their relationship.

•Vegas and Pete was totally an example of a toxic relationship. Vegas was emotionally and physically abused by his father, and had all of his life tried to surpass Kinn. He vented all of his frustration by physically and sexually torturing Pete after catching him red handed. This torture totally shows how much a red flag Vegas is. And as much as Pete know it, he still can't let go of Vegas. Vegas was a monster, and the atrocious things he did to Pete are definitely irreversible. But this horrible episode is what got them to understand each other. Vegas became a person who was capable. Meanwhile, Pete somehow managed to love Vegas despite of the torture and even resigned as a bodyguard to be with him. This love is toxic, but also proves that love is blind.

•Kim and Porschay are surprisingly my favourite couple among them, despite the fact that they never became one. The fanboy x his idol troupe was interesting. I know that probably because of Barcode being a minor and Jeff being an adult they didn't do any sort of sexual or romantic scene. But the scenes they had was than enough for me to root for them. Their ending had me in splits. What Kim did to Porschay definitely got the latter hurt and depressed, but at the same time, I understood his reasons and where he is coming from. I also hoped for a season two so that they got the closure they deserved. While this may never happen, I have hopes for their future projects (Happy Ending and Wuju Bakery)

•In terms of side characters, I could go on for hours, so I will keep it brief. Tankhun is superior comedy material. Period. The bodyguards are amazing (Big deserved better). Time was totally jerk and Tay needs to leave him. Macau is lovely brother. Vegas's father deserves to rot in hell. Tawan's presence was unwelcomed (but I really love Na Naphat).

•This series has a really excellent Osts. Jeff Satur's "Why don't you stay" is emotionally compelling and I really like his vocal tone. The main Ost "Free fall" takes the cake for fitting the action concept very well (I could go on talking about it, but let's keep it short)

•Overall, I enjoyed KinnPorsche as it completely devoured and gave justice to the Mafia concept. Aside from the obvious red flag relationships in this story, everything was excellent and well executed. Props the actors and production team. This show is the STANDARD for the production quality of Bl series.

Entertaining, well acted and filmed. Fast and confusing narrative.

First of all, I've really enjoyed KinnPorsche. The acting, the scenography and the cinematography are very good. Every scene is pleasant to the eye and the rewatch value is high. The characters' personal developement and the evolution of their relationships are the most interesting part of this series.

But the main story is confusing, and it has a few plotholes that spoils the experience a bit.
However, the good acting compensates that.

It's not a masterpiece, of course. But it will remain as one of my favourite series.
