Today I’ll Be the King (1966)

The protagonist grew up suspicious of the disappearance of his mother, whose life and death are unknown. He doubts and rebels against his father's past, which is entangled in a complicated female relationship. After living on alcohol, he only knows the whereabouts of his mother until late. Her mother, suffering from an incurable disease, was hiding her presence in the convent and was retreating. When he notices all the facts, his father tells him about his human concerns.
