The Star of Lost Paradise (1957)

Kang Seok-woon, a novelist with a wife and child, is courted by Young-lim, an avid reader of his newspaper series'The River of Temptation'. He tries to turn away Younglim's desperate courtship, thinking about his situation of having a wife and child, but finally, he fails to turn away and ends up fleeing to Gyeongju with her. Meanwhile, his wife, Ok-young, runs out of the house with a short talk about her husband. The younger child dies of pneumonia while looking for his mother who has left the house. Kang Seok-woon, who saw the fact in the newspaper, leaves a message to Younglim that he will be visiting for a while because of unbearable feelings of remorse and leaves for Seoul.
