Quite excited to see this drama because of Wang An Yu. But turn out this drama quite boring for me, or maybe just my taste in drama changing again into can't just satisfied with mediocre drama like this.

Yes this drama quite sweet & tell the story of normal couple, with their problem, personal or relationship. Like Zhu Le Le (LL) and Qu Zhi (QZ), where at first LL can't quite honest with her own feeling. At first I quite like their duration & how Shen Zheng Yi (ZY) & Shao Bei Sheng (BS) develop their own feeling for each other. But later I feel this drama quite boring, with the unnecessarily stretch. Yes I understand this is also sport drama, where I quite happy to see how ZY develop her own progress in speed skating.

Maybe just like I said in the beginning. My taste quite changing after watching so many drama.... Haha... If we want to compare eye to eye, this and skate into love, in my opinion skate is far more interesting to watch, from the struggling in speed skating to the love and relationship between Li Yu Bing & Tang Xue.

There is one big plot hole that they forget completely. They forget about the bet that Shen Zheng Yi and Shao Bei Sheng made in the first place, to fulfill 1 wishes. If the writter don't forget they don't need to make the relationship contract between ZY & BS.

Oh and at this age I also notice 1 big thing that I don't like from c-drama lately. The statement that when they are in a relationship, when the women angry the man better coax her until she's not angry again. OK if that the man fault, of course he must apologize and coax her until she's not angry again, but if the case the woman fault, like when LL & QZ break up, the first respond that BS give to QZ is can't he just tolerate & coax her. Hey you don't know yet whose fault is that, why must the man tolerate & coax the woman.... It's not fair & really give a bad influence for Young woman that watch the drama.

But with every sport drama like this, I quite adore the actress that can act or exercises like the real sportman/woman, because if that me I absolutely can't do all the hardship of exercises like Song Zu Er do with this drama. So extra star for all the actor/ess who done it...

In this drama what I like best, except the struggle of every actor/ess with the exercise, is Wang An Yu. Really funny how he sometimes became that spoiled with ZY. I also like the intimate, pampered interaction between ZY & BS is very youthful. Last but not least the friendship of Zhu Feng girl, how at the end even Luo Xiao Yi learn about cooperation in the group, how to trust your partner in ice.

Overall this just one ordinary youth drama to spend your days with. Nothing too special. Just the song quite good.

Too drawn out and boring for me

This drama just went on and on. I fast-forwarded through A LOT of this show, just so I could finish it. The main couple didn't even get together until episode 24 and there wasn't much progression with them up to that point. They didn't like each other, until they did. The dubbing bothered me (especially the voices of the children), the subtitles were not well done (the name of the team kept changing), and I didn't really find the actions/behaviors of a lot of the people realistic. For example, one of the multiple girls that likes the ML gives up her skating dreams just so she can stay close to the ML. Then there are the rest of the girls on the skating team. They were complete bullies throughout so much of the drama, and the amount of disrespect/insubordination they displayed to the coach absolutely would not have been tolerated.

The only reason I even rated it as high as I did was the main couple. When they were together, they were just precious. They had a number of meaningful conversations that lent themselves to the two actually growing fond of one another. They were supportive of one another, and them watching other couples to learn how to date? Cute!

Sooo good!!

Oh wow!! I had a Great time with this series. It was delightful from episode 1 and maintained until the very last episode. That has been a rare feat in many of the c-dramas I've watched. And they didn't even managed to avoid the M/FL moving to another country for 1-3 years! Came close but they didn't go there and I love that. I adore the ML actor, Wang. Adore him! He acts with his eyes, face, and whole body. He embodies emotion and is so smooth in his acting. I want to watch everything he's been in. The other actors were also enjoyable.
I loved this series. I'm a sucker for sports romance dramas, enemies to lovers, ensemble casts, best friends etc, so this hit all my buttons. I am not a rewatch kind of person but for those who are, this is a strong rewatch able show in my opinion.

A high school sports/romance drama pretending to take place at a university campus.

The Good:
-The chemistry between the leads
-The reasonably good acting
-The good special effects (I'm assuming Wang An Yu and co. cannot skate at the level shown in the show, but the CG? sure looked believable)
-The high quality production
-The moms ended up being a lot more tolerable than what I initially thought would be possible.
-The weak love triangles
-The fluff (though there could've been much more of it)
-The race in the last episode was pretty exciting and all anime like.

The Neutral:
-It's a sports drama first & romance drama second.
-The second lead couple's problems
-The silly, but still somewhat restrained villains.
-The (happy) ending is only so so. (reasonable for a sports fan, not so much for a romance fan)

The Bad:
-The overall story is extremely juvenile. (13 year old me would've loved it)
-The sports related subplots were really really silly as well. (don't expect an authentic speed skating experience)
-The production team could've picked a taller more athletic looking FL.
-After about 10-15 episodes it started to get boring. (not the fluff, but the skating)
-It's way too long.
-The leads took forever to get together.
-Coach Ulterior Motive
-The whole assist thing (though I've seen something similar in the Olympics in a running competition)
-Redemption arks
-The unreasonable character rewrites
-Snaky Snakewoman

Very light-heart, rom-com drama about having a passion and pursuing it

Absolutely loved this masterpiece. The romance and chemistry between the lead was just soo nice to watch. Loved how the story didn't just focus on romance but also portrayed friendship, healing relationships, passion for a dream and perseverance. The storyline went very smoothly and quickly. Time flew by with this drama! And it had the most passionate ending too. The cast's acting was out of the world extraordinary. I loved and enjoyed it sooooooo much. Words cannot suffice to express how much I adored the acting skills of the cast in this drama. The music felt very very encouraging and sweet at the time, just like the story of this drama so I think the music fitted this drama perfectly. Overall, great rom-com drama about persevering for your dream and creating great relationships with people around you on the way. ?⛸️??‍♀️⛸️

Good Couple Chemistry for a Well Done Sports Drama!

Don't let the title of this review fool you; this drama had a lot of headaches with the different conflicts and plot points that came up; but overall, it's a sweet drama with a healthy relationship, (and great couple chemistry!)

The kiss scenes came up pretty short (except for the final one at the end of the series) but their chemistry, skinship, hugs and easy banter make up for it!

Wang An Yu knows how to portray a beliavable relationship with any co-star of his—there was a similar comfortable level of chemistry in his series Forever Love (https://mydramalist.com/50395-forever-love) with Julia Xiang.

I would complain about the Coach (he was insufferable throughout, his redemption arc was way too short and easily fogiven, and his terrible sister also did NOT get the kind of ending I had hoped she would—I wanted to see her coming clean about her ugly behaviour, and about the major sabotage that happened that led to a major conflict with the ML)—but, ALAS. I guess the show needed some kind of not-all-black-and-white characters to add depth and complexity.

If you ignore the Coach and his sister—and their insuferable sub-plots and schemes, this drama is truly a heartwarming, nerve wracking show, with a good balance of sports and romance.

The second couple also gets a fleshed out relationship + scenes as well—tho tbh I skipped most of them because I don't usually pay attention to second couples.

Overall; I wouldn't say it's better than GoGoSquid, or Falling Into Your Smile, but I would say its on par with Skate Into Love, and is a pretty solid, well executed drama! If you need an itnerim draam to watch while you wait for more shows to come out, this is it.

I watched 3 Wang Anyu's dramas consecutively - Forever Love, Falling into You and then To Fly With You. I could not believe that each could be better than the one before. Overall I would say that To Fly With You is the best of the 3 as the other two dramas were a bit 'rushed' during the last few episodes (they could have done with a few more episodes). To Fly With You was very good in terms of pacing and script development - the ending makes the viewer crave for more; however to do more would have downplayed the climax. I enjoyed watching both male and female leads as they portrayed their characters really well. Both lead characters are determined, confident and not at all defeatist; it is no wonder they fell for each other. The chemistry between them was lovely and captivating. The other characters in the drama also had their own story and whilst we get to understand more about each of them, their parts were not draggy and did not detract from the main leads' story. Most importantly the second couple was not irritating (which somehow appear to be the case in many dramas). The romance in the story is accompanied by the sports element. I enjoyed the stress portrayed by the competitions and find myself at the edge of my seat many times. This has been a great drama to watch and I am going to rewatch it again!

Heartwarming sports drama that introduced me to speed skating

Firstly, the male lead and female lead were such a cute couple. At first, I felt like she just looked really young so it was a bit hard to believe that she was a university student but as I kept watching I started really liking the two of them together. The fake dating plot is cliched and has been used a lot, but how they went from that to liking each other and dating was really cute. Their first kiss was so awkward and adorable that it really gave me the feeling of first love. This is a really long show at 33 episodes but I feel like I actually could have watched more. The two main characters go through a lot of challenges and hardships together and worked so hard for their dreams. It felt like even though there was a romance in the show, there was also a lot of clips of them training and being on the ice and a big part of it was about their sports which makes sense to me since they are both athletes. I haven't seen the male lead in anything before but his acting was great.

I came into this not knowing anything about speed skating, but I enjoyed learning about this sport and actually ended up watching some clips from the Winter Olympics afterwards. I really liked Coach Zhang and how she tries to give all her team members a fair chance and encouraged them to reach their full potential instead of showing favouritism. I never played sports and I don't know what it's like to train at a competitive level but I really hope that there are coaches out there that support every member of their team, not just the ones that are supposed to be the best. The competition scenes were so exciting it felt like I was watching a real competition, not a TV show. Some of the skating clips are kind of funny, but I don't know if that's intentional.

I liked how Shen Zhen Yi and her best friend Zhu Le Le supported each other and had each other's backs in different circumstances and as a supporting character I feel like Zhu Le Le was an important part of the show. I liked how the show gave her lots of screen time and her own struggles as well and I really empathize with her being scared to truly "like something" and feeling mediocre. I think that a lot of people can relate to having imposter syndrome and fear of failure holding you back. But I feel like this show did try to convey the message that everyone can be a main character and has their moment to shine which I appreciated.

Passion, Rivalries and Romance

What I Loved
1. Shen Zhengyi’s determination: Watching Shen Zhengyi persevere despite numerous setbacks was incredibly inspiring. Her fall during the Wind Chaser audition and subsequent rise showed grit and heart, which instantly drew me into her character. Plus, her constant effort to prove herself to her naysayers was truly commendable.

2. Shao Beisheng’s character development: I absolutely adored how Shao Beisheng evolved. Initially, he was a bit aloof, but as the drama progressed, he began to show more warmth, especially in his interactions with Zhengyi. As he gradually realized his feelings for her, his protective yet gentle nature was a joy to watch.

3. Beautiful Soundtrack: The soundtrack was fantastic and really enhanced emotional moments. Whether it was during skating competitions or intimate scenes between characters, the music perfectly matched.

4. Relationship Dynamics: The romance between Shao Beisheng and Shen Zhengyi was slow-burning and satisfying. Their banter was cute, and when they finally got together, their chemistry was undeniable. Plus, the evolving friendships and rivalries within the skating team added layers to the story.

5. The Competitive Spirit: The skating sequences were well-choreographed and kept me on the edge of my seat. From Zhengyi’s practice sessions to the final competitions, the intensity and tension were perfectly captured, making the victories feel even more triumphant.

What I Hated
1. Xiao Han’s manipulative behaviour: I despised how Xiao Han manipulated Zhengyi for his selfish reasons. The way he took advantage of her naivety, secretly training her to support Xiaoyi in the competition, was downright cruel. His character was frustratingly passive-aggressive and never called Xiaoyi to order for her narcissistic behaviour.

2. Xiaoyi and Xiao Qing’s scheming: Both Xiaoyi and Xiao Qing were frustrating villains. Xiao Qing, in particular, was a nightmare. Like what she did with Zhengyi’s private sketchbook, made her utterly unbearable. Every time I thought she’d redeem herself, she’d come up with another nonsense.

3. Lack of Consequences for Bad Behavior: Several characters, especially Xiaoyi, got away with way too much for far too long. Her arrogance and selfishness went unchecked, and even though she faced some setbacks, I felt she didn’t get the true reckoning she deserved for all the drama she caused.

4. Xiao Han’s Redemption Arc: I couldn’t stand the attempt to redeem Xiao Han toward the end of the drama. After causing so much chaos and manipulating Zhengyi, suddenly giving him a sob story and expecting forgiveness felt forced and unnecessary.

5. Drawn-out Misunderstanding: The misunderstandings between between Zhengyi, Beisheng, and Xiao Qing was unnecessarily prolonged.

Overall, while the drama had its frustrating moments, the characters I loved made it a memorable experience.

One of the BEST Sport C-Drama series ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

I honestly didn't expect to enjoy this series as much as I did. It was GREAT!!!!
The acting was superb. It has me sitting on the edge of my seat, biting my nails in anticipation of what was going to happen next.... especially with the last 2 episodes.
The drama does have the cliché ending that we are all used to, but the plot of events involved with the build up makes the ending so much more satisfying. I cried and laughed with the characters throughout the series. There was a lot of character growth, especially with Luo Xiao Yi and Xiao Han. I really hated Luo Xiao Yi at the start of the show, but by the end, there was so much character growth that I started to like her. I recommend this series for anyone to watch. You won't regret it.

One of the cutest on screen couples this year… hidden gem! light sport drama u’ll def luv…

What I luv:
- The leads r the cutest! Their chems is just so natural... one of the best pairs in this year for me...
- Good casts... I like ML, I watched his drama b4 n I like his playful but sincere act, he looks good too... I wasn’t too sure about FL, it’s my 1st drama of her, but she acted good... the BFF’s story was ok I guess, as individuals they r funny, but their relationship part in the drama isn’t really interesting IMO... I like Coach Zhuang, ML’s coach n FL’s dad, he is so funny... ML’s childhood friend n his GF r also interesting characters...
- Eventhough it’s a youth drama, but the relationship between the leads r really good n healthy... they started from contract couple, to good friends, then the best kinda lovers...
- It’s a HE with the best ending... the leads won the championship in the end after all the hardworks they have done n all the bad things they’ve been through...

What I dislike:
- Xiao siblings! OMG those 2 characters r just so annoying, best manipulators... I know every story has to have villains, n in this drama it’s them... luckily their angsty parts just popped up here n there without creating that many problems for our leads, but still they just annoyed me a lot...
- The wrong person confession scene... why would anyone confess to someone in the darkness without making sure first if the person they r confessing to is the right person? This part is just so stupid! I think it’s just a way for the writer to justify XQ’s (one of the Xiao I mentioned b4) bad behavior... it’s just a bad/lazy writing IMO... n this part made a major mess for our leads, but thankfully it didn’t drag, just an eps of angst (eps21) n afterwards in the next eps they officially became a couple, so there is that... i still think it’s an unnecessary scene though...
- The figure skating part isn’t that believable... it’s not that bad either, but if u only wanna watch this for that part, it might not be a suitable drama for u...

It’s a sport drama with a very good message, u gotta persist n work hard for your dream, in the end u’ll get the best result n achieve that dream... but being a winner doesn’t mean u need to treat all people as ur enemies, just stay being a good person, coz when u do, people will back u up n even some bad ones can even redeem themselves... I’d def recommend it to anyone who likes that genre, plus the leads r just too cute to pass...

Everything I want from a sports romance

This was such a fun and light-hearted watch! The combination of seeing our underdogs follow their dreams, plus a really sweet romance — was done perfectly. The transition from rivals to friends to lovers is really believable, and I have to give props to our two leads for having such natural acting. The chemistry is really good, especially when they are just spending time with each other, doing nothing.

The sports scenes were choreographed quite well also. There are a few shots where you can tell it's acting, but overall, the competitions have the tension and anticipation that they need, making defeat feel as depressing and victories feel as cathartic as they each need to be.

Ultimately, I had such a great time watching this drama. There are frustrating misunderstandings, as well some common tropes, but they are actually used well and the character develops accordingly. I also admit — I cringed from secondhand embarrassment a few times, but still loved this drama overall.
