GREAT Remake

I have watched all adaptations of this Drama and I must say... it was excellent. Tt was a good modern twist to a classic. It was relatable, realistic, there was depth to the characters, we saw character development and the acting was amazing.
Like I mentioned earlier, I have watched all the other adaptations and other than the Korean remake, this is the only time I have cried.
It wasn't drawn out but very fast paced. There wasn't a lot of drawn out drama scenes like in some of the other adaptations. Sixteen plus hours well spent.

GREAT SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This drama popped up on my feed on YouTube and so I decided to try it. Let me tell you, it was the best decision of my life. I fell in love with this series. I loved the gender role reversal. It was a nice twist to the norm.
This drama had me laughing from as early as the first episode. At first, the leads didn't particularly like each other (or rather the male lead didn't like the female lead because she didn't fit the standard mold) but their relationship grew throughout the series and we could see where they learnt to appreciate the differences in their spouse. I especially loved the fact that the female lead was so strong. Both mentally and physically. There aren't a lot of dramas out there with female leads like her.
There's the saying that she fell first but he fell harder... this exemplifies the characters in this series. The male lead falls so in love with the female lead that he would literally put his life on the line for his wife.
Give this drama a watch, it's more than worth it. I watched it twice in a month... and that says something.

Any one out there who is hesitating on whether or not to watch this drama... just go ahead and do it. It is more than worth the 23 hours of entertainment.

Honestly... I went back and forth about whether or not I should actually watch this drama but I kept seeing it's name mentioned in articles related to Asian dramas or list of dramas to watch or something near to that, so I thought... let's give it a shot and see what happens.

Let me tell you, this show had me on the edge of my seat for the two days I took to watch it, Now I'm sorry I didn't watch it months ago when I first saw it. The plot, the actors, the settings, the music... everything was on point. I started crying and laughing from as early as episode one. That right there is a good indication of whether or not a drama will be good. If it can have you in tears within the first hour that more than says something.

I see and hear people complaining about the age gap between the male and female leads and I really don't see anything wrong with it. Maybe it's because I live in the west where most persons are considered to be adults by age 18. At the start of the series the female lead is 19 and in my country I had friends who were married at that age. In the drama nothing serious happened until the female lead was 20, which is the age of an adult in South Korea and the kisses didn't get steamy and heavy until she was a lot older.

All in all this drama is a must watch. You won't regret it.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!! SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!

This lakhorn has both goods and bad, although the bad kinda outweighs the good. For one, the acting and music were top notch for sure. Even though the plot was weak and illogical, the actors and actresses really did a GREAT job. There was a good amount of character development, especially with Pat and her mother Jan.
For the first 8 or 9 episodes of this lakhorn I was so enthused and all into the show. I couldn't do anything else as I anxiously waited for the episode I am watching to finish so I can see what happens next. And then it all went downhill from there.
For the next 7 - 8 episodes I literally skipped through most of it. After Pol and Pan got together I was so happy that they finally admitted their feelings and could go on with their lives. But then he learns about THE SECRET and he suddenly does a COMPLETE 360, like within 10 minutes. He was supposed to love Pan but now he hates her because of one minor thing. He is willing to hurt her just to get revenge on someone else. Now Pol learns his mistake but regrettably it is too late and Pan leaves for a few years. But now she has turned into who he was. She's willing to her Pol even though she ends up hurting Tawan just the same. She lies and does everything to keep them apart, even thought Tawan has formed a bond with Pan. She's turned into an angry, stubborn and selfish woman all in the need to hurt Pol...even when it is hurting Tawan.
Logically, a mother who loves her child will do anything to make her child happy. As long as it doesn't hurt them in the end that is. But Pan is so blinded by her hatred for Pol that she can't do that. She continuously lies to her son knowing full well with the situation that as it is, everything is going to come to light one day. There are too many persons who know the truth for it to remain a secret forever. And she also takes out her anger for Pol on Tawan which happens several times in the drama. When the child grows older he will eventually figure out the truth for himself no matter how much she tries to hide it. Pol is doing the exact same thing to Tawan that Pol's mother did to him.
And then there's Pol. He is so immature and naïve and blinded by the love he has for his mother that he can't see her for the cruel and deceptive psychopath she is. Which person in their right mind would move their significant other into the same house as his mother knowing full well that the mother hates the other???? I mean seriously!!!! He knew his mother hated Pan but he expects them to live happily in the same house??? That is down right stupidity right there.
Logically there were so many things wrong in this lakhorn. Which idiot gives a 5 year old a whole pack of sweets saying that it's ok as long as he brushes his teeth or leaves said 5 year old outside on the side of the road while you go to buy something in the store?????? Seriously!!!!! I spent so much time cursing and hissing my teeth at the laptop screen. All in all this lakhorn is watchable for the most part. Just expect a lot of frustration when doing so.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In all my years of watching Asian dramas, this is by far the stupidest ML I have ever seen. He believes everything that is said about the FL. He is so caught up with who he believes her to be, that even thought she has repeatedly shown him her true self, he refuses to see what is right in front of his eyes.
For Christ's sake...he knew she was a virgin after he RAPED her, but within a few weeks, he comes to the conclusion that she sleeps around just by the gossip of people who he knows hates her. He knew he was her first when her slept with her, yet still he questions if her baby is his. However, he accepts the other woman's baby as his even though he doesn't remember sleeping with her. This is
The ML mistreats the FL for the entirety of the series... and for what???? He didn't have a definitive reason to distrust her or question her dignity. He has never seen her in a compromising position with any man, yet still he is sure that she is sleeping with every Tom, Dick and Harry that she says hi to.
And the FL.... she's another one. What the hell did she see for her to fall in love with the ML???? He mistreated her more than he ever showed her affection. The man RAPED her and she gets up the next morning smiling and being all lovey dovey with him just because he said he was sorry??????????? I seriously don't get it. She has absolutely no backbone, she may as well be a snake... then again, that's too strong as snakes tend to bite back when threatened. She lets everyone in the drama walk all over her. I bet if she could understand a dog's. language, even they would walk over her. I swear... I she spends 3/4 of this drama crying. I'm a sucker for happy endings, but I absolutely HATED the ending. After all the hell the ML put the FL through, he didn't deserve spending the rest of his life with her. She shouldn't have taken him back. This drama was a waste of brain activty

The first time I watched this lakhorn I just did so because I had nothing to do and I was just getting into Asian Dramas. When you watch a lakhorn or a movie you basically know how it is going to end just not how they are going to get there.
Honestly, this was so cringe worthy, I skipped through most of it. What I hated the most was how weak the the female lead (Rasa) was. I mean, yes you are to be humble but not to the point where you let everyone step all over you. Things happen beyond your control and you are so 'humble' you don't try to explain yourself and let everyone have this false perception of who you are.
And the male lead..... He has women and girlfriends all over the place, even going so far as to sleep with them after he got married yet his family members don't see this as wrong but as soon as their is a hint of suspicion for Rasa (his wife) they hold a family meeting to criticize her and cast blame. And the fact that he saw it fit to have his girlfriend, who is still salty about the fact that he married someone else, be the supervisor over his new wife is downright stupid!! What did her think was going to happen...that his wife and girlfriend would sip tea then walk off into the sunset holding hands?????? Come on!!
Akrin (Male lead) had no definitive proof but he believed what everyone was saying about his wife until he finally slept with her and found out that they were all lies. I mean seriously!!!! Akrin (male lead) got away with his happy ending in the end. I seriously don't know which woman in their right mind would stay and deal with all the sh*t he put her though.
The plot of this lakhorn was so unrealistic it isn't even funny. All in all it wasn't a bad watch, just be prepared to curse at the laptop/phone/tv screen because of the sheer stupidity of some of the plot events in this drama.

OH MY GOOOD!!!!!!!!!!

This was so unexpected!!! I did not expect this from an Asian drama, much less a K-drama.
The first thing that grabbed my attention were the sex scenes. I mean... I saw tongue in kissing scenes... breasts... naked bodies. I was shocked into silence.
Other than that though, the plot for the most part was good. The only thing I hated was the ending. It was disappointing and an almost waste to a good movie.
The king has groomed this man since childhood into being a homosexual. Now that he (the king's lover) has experienced an intimate relationship with a woman (instigated by the king) and starts catching feelings and questioning his sexuality, the king becomes jealous and practically goes into a frenzy. How can you expect to instigate a sexual relationship between two people and not expect their emotions to become involved??? Because of the king's greed and possessiveness a whole lot of people died.

FRUSTRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ML in this drama is acting like a child and that is the reason why his relationship with the FL can't progress. He's like the little boy in school who is mean and pulls the braids of the girl he likes. He fell in love with the FL at 1st sight but as soon as he found out who she was, his petty behaviour starts. He's constantly mean to her and always says that he doesn't like her but when she turns to someone else who is kind and treats her with respect, he goes into a fit and starts acting all possessive.
This lakhorn had the opportunity to be a great drama. The leads were good and the side couples didn't really take away from the main plot. What really ticked me off was the constant misunderstandings between the leads. They refused to be honest with their feelings and they would not talk with each other. Their prides kept getting in the way of everything. For more than half the show, it's just the same thing being repeated over and over again and honestly I skipped through the last three or four episodes to see how it will play out because I don't see any reason why I should spend one and half hours watching the same thing that I watched in a previous episode.

JUST WATCH IT!!!!!

It took me a while to actually watch this Drama. I first watched the Korean adaptation first, then the Taiwanese and then the Thai version. At first I didn't think it could get any better than the Korean version and then I watched the Thai version and I thought that was the best it could get.
I started watching the Japanese version maybe 2 or 3 times but couldn't get interested because I though it was just going to be like the other versions I've watched, but I eventually just gave in and decided to finish it. Let me tell you... it was the best decision I ever made. I absolutely LOVE this version.
I could see the ML feelings towards the FL develop throughout the series. In the other adaptations I've watched the ML practically ignores the FL and then at the 2nd or 3rd to last episode he gets hit by some divine intervention and then miraculously falls in love with the FL.
The acting was top notch. I found that there cringe worth scenes weren't as bad as other adaptations and I could relate to the FL feelings.
I was mostly into K-dramas but having watched the Japanese version I'm starting to love J-drama a little more. GREAT drama I tell you. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!

A MUST WATCH

It took me forever to actually start this drama. It had been on my 'PlanTo Watch" list for months. I eventually gave in and I haven't gotten a good night's sleep since I started it. It took me about 3 days to watch it and I'm so glad I did. It was very entertaining. It had a good balance between the crime and mystery and the romance themes. My only problem is that, with the sextual tension and build up between the ML and FL, their kiss was very disappointing. Their lips were barely touching. Other than that, it was a GREAT watch.

An Utter Waste of Time

This drama started out on a good premise. There were several moments where I thought 'what the hell was the writer thinking', but it didn't distract too much from the plot. Then as the series went on, I realised that it wasn't going anywhere. The same thing kept repeating. The problems were popping up left right and centre, however, nothing was being done to solve anything.
Yes, I get that they wanted to save the big reveal until the end, but it was very frustrating. Jao Sua's daughter and her family kept doing all these evil things and nothing was being solved, Basically, this show was an utter waste of my time. I kept watching hoping that something would happen, but to no avail. I would NOT recommend this series to anyone else and if I could see one day in the future, I would have skipped it all together.
I skipped through most of this series, where I probably watched about 15 minutes in total of each episode from episode 20. This series could have been split into two instead of the entire 30 episodes,

DISAPPOINTING SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!

The show wasn't a bad watch. I was actually looking forward to watching this show. I'm a bigger girl, so I always enjoy shows where the 'underdog' AKA the fat girl gets the guy. However, I don't like the premise that this series falls on... it fell short in so many ways.

The series started out with Miyuki having absolutely no self confidence and it ended with her still having no self confidence. All her life, everyone around her told her that she was ugly so she grew to be a subservient, submissive person who has learnt to grin through all her challenges, hoping that everything will work out ok. Never willing to fight back.

Her father didn't come out and say she was ugly, but it was always implied. Her husband who fell in love with her, never once said that she was beautiful, or complimented her looks in any way. He also never once stood up for his wife when everyone around her kept bullying and disrespecting her. He was just a silent bystander who watched it all happen and then telling her sorry.

His boss and the secretary kept insulting Miyuki about her looks and the fact that she was fat, how she wasn't good enough for him, how she would damage his career... and it seemed that it was ok, as if it was expected... like it's the norm to speak to someone this way. When they went out furniture shopping, the boss and the secretary said that she wasn't good enough to be seen by Osamu's side in any other capacity than a manager, and he actually went along with it. she was his WIFE and he let them belittle her like that. This all helped to cement in Miyuki's mind that she was never good enough for her husband and that she should be grateful that he married her.

Osamu didn't try to reassure her of his feeling. He didn't show that he loved her or deeply cared for her. The only way he sowed some resemblance of a backbone was when he announced that they were married, which to me was a stupid move. Most Asian celebrities, when they marry a non-celebrity, often time keep this person's identify a secret because they know the backlash he/she will get.

I also hated how Miyuki kept bowing and being so submissive to her husband. She never thought that she would ever marry anyone, talk less of marring this famous, handsome celebrity who just happens to be her idol. She seemed so grateful that he married her that she was always looking for ways to please him, always giving in to every demand he may have. This grated on my nerves. It sends out a message to other young girls out there that are fat or so called ugly, won't get a good looking partner and if they do, they should be eternally grateful... bowing and worshiping the ground that this man walks on.

There was ABSOLUTELY NO chemistry between the main couple. The husband wasn't vocal about his adoration for his wife and he didn't show it physically either. Their kiss scenes had no feeling to it... it seemed rehearsed or like it was just part of the script (which it was) which shouldn't be the case.

I didn't regret watching this series but it was so disappointing. If you're going to write a series about a fat girl overcoming obstacles and finding true love, at least try to be convincing with the love part and let their be something learnt from the story.

A MUST WATCH!!!!!!!!!!! SO WORTH IT

I watched this drama about 2 years ago and I liked it then. For some reason I decided to rewatch it... and let me tell you, it was so much better the second time around. I was laughing to myself at odd hours in the morning as I rewatched it. I loved how the events played out. I didn't hate Min Ha Ri for what she did... in a way, I understood why she did what she did.... and her guilt in the end made her actions worth being forgiven.
There wasn't much skinship between them but the chemistry between the leads was off the charts. I really enjoyed it
I would recommend anyone to watch it. I'm already looking forward to rewatching it again

Not worth the watch if there isn't going to be a Part 2

I was so pulled into watching this drama series. I read the synopsis and thought I had to watch it. The first 23 episodes were epic. I couldn't put the series down. I was on my edge of my seat until the last episode... then.... it just went into a whole other realm I didn't expect. There was basically no confusion between the leads until the last episode. The FL should have known what kind of person the ML was... and she just up and believed everything after spending practically all her time with him for months on end.
And then the ending. This drama had one of the most hated, unexpected endings I have ever come across in a C-drama. I absolutely HATED the ending. If it wasn't for the ending, this drama would have been one of my favourites. It had everything going for it... the strong FL who was good at fighting, the over protective and indulgent ML... everything. I don't think I will watch this drama again... just because of the crappy ending.

Way too long!!! Too many things happening at once.

I've watched the Chinese version to this series and absolutely loved it. When I saw that there was a Thai adaptation, I jumped at the chance to watch it.
The series started out really good, and for the most part I was enjoying it. But then, by the time episode 21 rolled around I realised that it was the same thing happening over and over again. Then I kinda lost interest.
The main focus of the drama was lost in all the misunderstandings, the blackmails, lies, phychos, etc. I started skipping a little from episodes 21 - about 23... but after that I was basically skipping through 3/4 of the remaining episodes.
There was too much happening in this one drama. It's almost as if the writers decided to put everything that came to their minds in the 40 episodes. By the time one problem was resolved, another popped up in literally a few minutes later.
I mean, that douche (Bim) kidnapped Liu and Namkhing and a few minutes later we find out she has cancer. All happening in the same episode. And added to that fact, there's this Nathi who keeps insisting that he's fated to be with Namkhing. Not even paying attention to the fact that Namkhing is already in love with her boyfriend. He's the female reincarnate of Lika from a few episodes back.
Very draggy and this for me was a one hit... not a one hit wonder because I didn't particularly enjoy it. Wouldn't watch again.
