Thank you so much for posting this! When this accusation against Zhang Hao Wei first came out and he posted that it was not true I believed him right away. I was so upset to see his career being derailed and so very happy when the verdict came down and then upset again when I saw the amount he was compensated. It truly baffles me that someone can take away a person's livelihood and then pay pocket change in return. I hope Zhang Hao Wei is able to make a fabulous comeback!

I remember having been sufficiently dubious about the case back at the time of Brocade Odyssey airing, to write to MDL moderation about cast and explain that Zhang Haowei was the real actor who had been face swapped pending conclusions of the investigations and the actor suing a probable slanderer. So ZHW got at least credited then as [body] for that drama ; but nobody seems to have thought it should be done likewise for Love Has Fireworks?

Well, as I remarked elsewhere, it is regrettable that Li Xinze let himself be persuaded to erase a colleague, even if there were perhaps well meaning reasons such as dragging the drama off the purgatory shelf and "saving the other colleagues' hard work".

The results, unfortunately, is so lack luster that some write "it hurts the eyes". To me it also sucks out something of the drama substance and I prefer to not watch attentively when the AI face and strange disconnected deep voice sounds there. I am not familiar enough with either actor to know whether it is the voice of the one or the other, or if it is yet another third party, mis-used as a voice actor.

Otherwise, I think I could have totally enjoyed that business romance despite stubborn characters butting heads for too long can end up being tiring.

But even worse is that despite the courts' conclusions, misinformed rumors persist enough that you find this erroneous mention on the drama's dramawiki page : "Zhang Hao Wei's face was ai-swapped for Li Xin Ze due to his cheating scandal." He has no cheating scandal....

I checked out the dramawiki page and thankfully it now reads in the notes below the cast list "Zhang Hao Wei's face was ai-swapped for Li Xin Ze due to false allegations that were cleared in court judgement only in December 2025"

Glad you were able to at least get Zhang Hao Wei credit in one drama. It's so frightening that an accusation alone can stop a person's career.

Yeah, that was my correction, as I was flabbergasted to see falsehood still spread there.

I also sometimes add and correct on Wikipedia and dramawiki.... Not often because it is not "my job" normally, but I have done so for a while already, when I thought it was needed ;)

If people were thorough instead of just jumping to conclusions because of some rumor on Weibo, social media or truncated videos, they'd find that many of the "scandals" were cyber bullying . Me, my take is: I first give benefit of the doubt and I don't hasten to spread rumors if I can help it.
