Fei Zhen E is the daughter of a warrior loyal to the Ming dynasty who bravely assassinates a traitor when the dynasty falls. Through chronicling Fei's adventure to the forbidden palace, the absurdity of war was fully manifested when Fei's father bravely guarded the city but was killed by hungry mobs and when Emperor Chongzhen fled the palace but was turned away by his feasting royal relatives.
