The story of Sachiko, a prostitute who works on a Shinjuku 2-chome. The woman, despite the difficult situation and adversities, helps everyone around as much as she can. Soon, however, the woman is faced with a series of tragedies, including rape. But even in them, Sachiko finds a glimmer of hope for a better tomorrow.
