Confession time

Khun confessed but got rejected and Four confessed, got reciprocated. So yeah, the leads got together! And whatever Wa was wishing during the shooting stars, it's gonna come true. Four's actress, Christine's acting improved so much from here.

What was that final scene?!?!

The episode starts with the morning after, as Jattawa awakes in her bed next to a sleeping Four. Jattawa seems happy – her first time apparently went well. As Four starts to wake up she pretends to be asleep, Four quickly gets up collects her clothes and leaves the room. Wa gets up soon thereafter and make breakfast for her and her disappeared “friend” as Vivi returns to collect a few things for school – and to nonchalantly let her sister know that she saw in a vision that Four und Wa had sex last night. Wa is embarrassed, while Four next door apparently isn’t sure what happened last night cause she was so drunk.

Later, Wa still wonders how she should react to Four when Khun and Top meet up with her and ask her out for lunch, they go to the cafeteria, but Wa is not really hungry, she is looking for Four. Meanhile, Khun want to take her with him this evening (to something having to do with the contest they’re both signed up for). But she declines the offer and leaves for the restroom – where she runs into Four who thanks her for taking her home last night; she claims she was so drunk she doesn’t remember anything. Wa invites her to the contest, but Four just acknowledges the invite.

At home, Wa is preparing a magician’s routine for the contest, but keeps wondering why Four reacts so coldly, as she seemed pretty lucid last night; she is wondering if she did anything wrong or if Four didn’t like their sexy time. Her routine includes one use of her time-freeze ability – that seems like a waste for a function which can be used only once per day.

The next day, Wa asks Khun and Top how she should react to Four’s apparent coldness after sex – without naming the participant, of course, but I’m pretty sure at least Khun knows who she is talking about. They both tell her not to bother with her anymore.

The day of the contest is there, and Wa shows up in her unusal uniform (“I’m not winning anyway”) , leading Khun to get her a proper dress. While Wa is changing, Khun once again tells her he likes her – but this time, Wa doesn’t reverse this confession, but rather tells him that she wants them to be friends – nothing less, but also not more. He asks her if that is because she has feelings for Four, and she admits it. He then confesses to discouraging Four earlier by claiming Wa was interested in him; but Wa forgives him saying anyone can make mistakes. As he goes on stage, Wa keeps wondering why Four hasn’t talked to her about that. Then Jattawa peforms her routine but uses her time-freeze moment to look for Four in the audience. In the end, she blows the last part of the routine – a disappearing act – intentionally.

Then, the audience gives out roses for their favorite act, and Wa doesn’t get any – until Four shows up, having seen the show after after all. She says she did not like the performance, but rather the performer. ❤After the show they, go home together with Wa explaining that Khun came clean and that he was lying to Four when he told her Wa was interested in him. Four admin that she was getting drunk because of the and that she really likes Wa. But Wa remains cautious, because she knows Four is interested in another person, namely the one she gave her messaging id to – but unbeknownst to her that also Wa, as the moon lamp she gave her recently is the one that carries the ID. Four comes clean that she wanted to give her the ID since they first met; she just didn’t know what to do with these feelings. But everything else she did – from providing a place to stay to gifting her the moon lamp - was all because she was attracted to her, in fact she admits to having dirty dreams about her. As they encounter shooting stars in the sky, Four asks Wa to be her girlfriend.

Wa accepts by signing her name with her finger onto Four’s hand; they start making out again. As they return to their floor hand in hand, Four remarks that the CCTV is broken in this hallway so they can continue to make out. I wonder if that was more for benefit of us watchers to let us now the camera doesn’t work? The next day, Wa wakes up; whose bed is that. It looks different from both her own and Four’s, though at the side there’s the moon lamp – and a picture of Wa and Four?!? The living room looks also unfamiliar, and on the balcony there’s Four saying “I'm so sorry that I'm the reason Vivi's gone.” As Wan is saying what we all think: “What?”, we get the final shot of the episode, Vivi lying on the floor somewhere, apparently having been stabbed to death.

That was a rollercoaster (accelerating while rolling down) of an episode – so much has happened. The show made clear that all previous problems between Four and Wa were thoroughly removed (from the previous issues of the show, there only remains the legal battle between Four and her family) – before hitting us out of left field with the final scene.

I honestly don’t know what to make of the scene, was that a dream sequence, a flash forward, and where exactly did that scene between Four and Wa happen? Obviously, Four did at best indirectly cause Vivi’s death – I think the writers left this part intentionally vague so that we (at least those who like myself have not read the book) can fuzz over it all week and tune in again next Tuesday. Mission accomplished, I’d say!
