The bad situation of employees at Kanto Iron Works, causes them to form a trade union and making an attempt to change their working conditions. Soon, however, the newly created union has to fight not only with the employer but also other organizations fighting for workers' rights. The lack of a stable structure and postulates as well as competitive organizations, cause that initially united workers, start to fight on their own or give up completely. ~~ Movie is based on the real events called in media "Tokyo Sogidan Story" (東京争議団物語) in 1968. ~~ Version: 144 (Theatrical release) and 164 minutes (DVD), Edit Translation
