Yun Ting Elementary School in the idyllic mountains of Miaoli is on the brink of closure. The remaining residents of the town, with the vast majority being elderly or immigrants, are rallying for the school to remain open for the children. Their protests are interrupted by the unannounced arrival of disgraced Judge Li, his son Li Chao Jen, and investigator Lo Wei Hung from Taipei.
