Unexpectedly decent
Nov. 27, 2022I am currrently on a kdrama slump and I thought I might go and watch some Jdramas. Came to my surprise I ended watching Rinko-san wa Shite Mitai.
For starters, yes the drama do have the kind off generic plot, but the actors did so well that the plot did not bother me at all. Also the male lead is so damn hot, what the fucking hell. I need someone like him. As for the female lead, I actually love how she dealt with the misunderstandings with the ML. Like in other jdramas I watched, the FL usually throws like big and childish tantrums and even just emotional outbursts. But here the FL slays and is the epitome of a boss ass bitch career oriented woman.
As for the romance, the romance is fucking well-done and god damn I need that fucking spice in my life. I wanna trade spots with the lead.
TLDR: concise, not dragged out. Funny and cute. Spicy. Hot. OFF THE CHART CHEMISTRY.

Short, sweet, funny and effective
This short and simple drama surprisingly works very well. Not a moment of dullness, and eventhough the story itself is of course cliche but the plotline is enjoyable and the acting was effective.First of all, the female lead.. she’s gorgeous and cute I wonder how she’s not in more drama. She delivered the character nicely and the comedic timing also good. The male lead looks too old for 27 but he delivered well too, the chemistry between the two leads are nice.
The side characters are funny and not annoying at all. I was surprised that the bartender is one of the actor in “Stay Tuned!” He looked so different!
I rated this drama quite high, eventhough it’s josei cliche and of course predictable, because of the entertaining value. It’s short, sweet, funny, and easy to watch. Aalso I hope the lead actress will get more roles in the future, I’d like to see her again in dramas.

A Bite-sized drama with a unique beginning
I am not a stan of Japanese dramas so this one is goodFirstly the story. I have to say the concept used was a experiment and a good one. it was a little irritating how the story went in the later part but had me there binge-ing

Amaki-Rinko(rinko-san) is a like one of the those womens who are like called 'perfect'. Perfect body,Promoted at job, smart. There is only one thing she thinks that she lacks that is even her biggest secret; she is a virgin. To complete her puzzle of image of her perfect women is just to add the last tile by losing her virginity. But she wants to lose it to a man with few standards set by her and there she finds Kamisaka-kun who is too a virgin fitting all the standards she had in mind with a longtime highschool-crush. They both then decide to lose their virginity to each other through a contract . but will it be easy to lose their virginity without falling for each other? Find out that while watching this bite-size-drama.
I would recommend it to all the Japanese drama begineers as it a good one to start with and you can finish it the same day

Spicy bite-sized drama
I'm glad I didn't read anything about this drama ahead of time, because I would have bypassed it. One reason I watch Asian shows is their lack of explicitness. Had I skipped over it, I would have missed out on an enjoyable evening (I stayed up and binged this one).Story - It was an original story and handled well. Some of the lines were somewhat stilted, but that can either be due to the way it was translated or I'm viewing through American eyes.
Acting - the acting was good, especially by leading lady Takada Kaho. First, she's stunning to look at. Contrast that with her slight goofiness and the fact that she's bemoaning that she's a virgin. She was a joy to watch. Plus, it's not often that you see a Japanese woman that is, for the most part, together and not completely subservient to the man.
Chemistry - oh my goodness. These two were hot together. Their tenderness with one another. Not giving much away, but two things stood out to me - 1) They had a "no kissing" rule. There were numerous times that he gently rubbed her bottom lip with his thumb - wow! 2) The scene where they were sitting on the bed with him behind her with his arms around her - this was such a wonderful scene, because they were sharing so much with their words, when previously it was just with their bodies.
The music for the intro was too loud and very irritating, it didn't go with the rest of the show.
I will probably rewatch this show again, especially if I have watched a couple of shows that I've been disappointed in.

Really funny cute and entertaining
I wasn’t sure if to watch this from the lower rating but decided to give it a go. I absolutely love this series, can’t believe the rating is so low. I could even watch a few more episodes (if it was longer) but it kept me entertained throughout.It was funny, cute and heartwarming, the leads where perfect, yes it was a little cliche at times but who cares, I loved it.
Hidden gem - you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Oh and for bl fans like myself, Minoru from My dining table has a small part in this series.

A refreshing experience
If the story and screenplay look so cliche, then what makes you more attractive about a drama? Yes maybe its neither the cast or the strong emotions which that drama provides. So i randomly watched this beautiful japanese romantic drama, and here is am so glad because i got a very heartwarming experience from it.Drama : Rinko-San Wants to try

Apart from anything, this drama strongly stands up in a different level because it brings some very unique emotions and there is two super attractive leads. Amaski Rinku a 27 year old girl who works as a wedding planner and now she promoted as a chief in her work, and for our hero Kamisaka Gen who also has the same reputation as Rinku but he got promoted little too early. Now how the story grew between them.? Curious? Then try it out, you can see a very beautiful romance from this drama.
I don't want to hide this, yes ofcourse there is love triangle takes place but its not so intense as you can see that it's only an 8 epi drama, so nothing like dragging. Its very short and sweet story telling. Both the main leads were so adorable till the end.
And for your knowledge there were some super hot intense intimate scenes, don't get wrong idea because the plot demands that. But still its not so vulgar. Even their intimate scenes looks very beautifully captured. What more i want to say..? If you are looking for a mini romantic drama then this is a perfect choice. Try it guys.

RINKO SAN DID IT!!!
Hello! So I recently finished this title on my friend's recommendation and I totally enjoyed watching it. It is fun. It is, perhaps, as dramatic as manga/ one's imagination could be. The sudden frame pauses, the over expressive close-ups all those gave a very comic touch to the series. I laughed a lottt while watching it. Starting from the titles till the ending credits there are a lot of scenes that make you laugh. The male lead seemed a bit stiff in the acting and idk if it's me or anyone else, I find many Japanese actors' action very stiff. But hey the female lead is very cute. Her face is really expressive and so are all her scense. The supporting cast did good too. I might not rewatch it but it won't hurt you to watch it atleast once. You'll have a good laugh. very cute short story
i binged this drama today and i have to say it was very enjoyable. it has everything a short predictable love story should have, although i would have preferred it if the couple had more screen time (one or two more episodes whould be enough)story: the plot was alright, nothing new to be exact but still cute. friends with benefits that fall in love and it ends in a good way. rinko and kamisaka are the prime example of what not to do in terms of communication. they didnt communicate enough or expressed their true feelings which led to unwanted things and misunderstandings, but it worked out in the end.
about the characters: i really liked rinko's character. she is a woman who is seen by others as perfect and strong , even though on the inside she is shy with no sexual experience. what i liked about her is how she tried to present herself as confident in front of kamisaka, but failed (that scene at the bar with her internal monologue was just the cutest!). kamisaka on the other hand was more reserved and had hidden the way he really felt. i liked how he carried himself, not really bothered by what others think. he really made me fall for him with his perfect face and his tenderness.
overall: its a nice short drama. i recommend it if you just want to watch something lighthearted with not much depth to it but still not boring. the cast made it a lot more enjoyable

Picked up this drama because the premise sounded interesting: a virgin meets another virgin and enters a FWB contract. Occasionally adorable, but mostly predictable is that they both caught feelings after having coitus a couple times. Of course, a drama cannot do without a rival love interest or two, who obligatory part ways for the leads to end up together. Despite the sexual tension Takada and Totsuka bring to the screen in the beginning episodes, it did not carry towards the end. Waste of talent, especially Izuka’s. And I certainly didn’t expect the weak-a$$ peck that fell short after the enormous buildup. Watch only if you want to pass the time, but not necessarily. Was this review helpful to you?
A fun ride
The main couples romantic relationship kept me coming back four times. Every time I watched this movie it was fun. It was sensual. It was like a fairytale.The story involved testing an adult relationship with progressively complex feelings. It had humor intelligence and sensuality. Obviously I will watch it more in the future.
Could you please remove the 500 word count requirement for review 200 words can be more than adequate thank you. I like this movie enough to try to give a review of it and post it for others to enjoy but honestly the 500 word count requirement is a pain.

Found myself smiling in almost every episodes!
Finally, a FL who has a very likable character!!!! A talented, almost perfect, and not cringe woman yey!!! The actress was perfect for that role, it's very cute and her expressions are not exaggeratingly annoying.Her chemistry with the ML is also okay I guess, just right for her age. Not too old looking for her visuals. There are shots that he's super handsome and sometimes just meh. Also, the skinship in this drama is not overdone.
***SPOILER ALERT AHEAD***
Was surprised to see in Ep.6 where she has a song and dance moment when she felt like she will go on a date! I did not see that coming, such a cute moment lol. I felt like I was watching an anime. And then just when I was giggling then the "drama" happened hahaha, I enjoyed it! In Ep.7 I like that they incorporated the ML's POV before the "agreement". It all makes sense to me now. It is just right to know what was the ML's thinking before it ended in the last episode don't you think?
This is the romance I've been looking for, no toxic drama and sh*t. It is indeed a fast-paced story and not dragging at all. Too bad it has 8 episodes only. Oh well.

A typical Rom-Com J Drama
A typical rom-com J drama. If you are into J dramas and understand about the Japan rom-com drama culture then you won't be disappointed. This has everything you are looking for in a J drama rom-com.You got the spicy scenes here and there

If you are into C and K dramas and like substance, then I wouldn't try this one. This drama is filled with cheese and I like cheese, but sometimes I need something to hold on to. I didn't get much substance in this drama, but it passed the time and 24 mins are pretty short episodes.
One thing to note, the camera work on this drama is very odd. I felt like I was watching the drama through an instagram filter. Not sure if it's an old camera they are using, but the quality didn't look as sharp as some of my C and K dramas I am use to watching.
Overall, if you like J dramas, this one is good to try.
