Light & Refreshing
I'm not the biggest fan of the fashion industry, nor am I that interested in it, but the drama kept me engaged. I think 8 episodes was perfect - no episode felt like a filler and anything beyond 8 would have probably been unnecessary. The series opened with a failed showcase and ended with a successful one which I think was a nice touch. I enjoyed the fact that the overarching plot related to their career goals and rather not the love story. The love story felt like an enhancement of the story. Something for you to root for beyond just their careers. The side characters were funny but did not take away from the main leads.I enjoyed Seonho's arc the most and considering the actress is firstly a model by profession I think she did an amazing job in the role.
I also really enjoyed the chemistry between Minho and Soobin's characters. I would've fleshed out their back story a bit more but the series remained enjoyable nonetheless. The actors all did a great job. I also really enjoyed the friendship between Woomin & Seonho. Probably my favourite relationship in the show beyond the romantic ones.
I did watch the series primarily because of Minho and like I said I don't have much interest in the fashion industry so I don't know how high I'd rate it on replay value but I quite enjoyed the characters and getting to know their story.
The show was also shot beautifully, you can tell that the production value was very high + the way the title cards for each episodes was shown was a very nice touch.

Amazing friendship
Some dramas are meant to be binged. This isn't one of those. This is something that is meant for you to look forward to. Rarely do I regret binging a show, but I wished I'd have saved some of these episodes for future days. There is a level of energy and excitement throughout the show, and I am sad to say that I used it up all in one go.I loved the feel of this show. The friendship, the camaraderie, the support of the 4 friends (plus their families and coworkers) made it all worthwhile for me. Having known friendship like this in my own life, I find that it gives me happiness to see such things onscreen. For people to be there with you through thick and thin, you have to have gone through a lot together. Although the storyline wasn't realistic, it was fun and interesting to me. It did have it's sad moments, but then again....don't we all?
I enjoyed all the acting in this drama, and I think everyone did a great job portraying their characters. There was a good mix of character types, but none were inherently evil. Everyone had their own redeeming qualities, even though all of the characters were flawed in their own way....some more than others, but this isn't their story. The OTT characters kept the storyline light and funny. (The music set the tone for many scenes, and was interesting enough for me to look up several of the songs.) I found the friendship of the 4 totally believable, and they had great chemistry together.
Unfortunately, I did not see the chemistry between Ji Eun and Woo Min as a couple, but I think that their acting was on point. That didn't make it any less believable to me, because irl some couples just don't exude chemistry. That doesn't make them any less of a couple though. Although I didn't feel passion between them, I did feel friendship and support and happiness. Sometimes that's enough.

Not Recommended. Totalwaste of time
worst drama of 2022.. I don't know but why they made such drama in the first place..i was so excited as it looked something new and fresh. but it was so upsetting only the best thing in drama was min ho. Not recommended. dont waste your time watching this. there are much better dramas out there. there was no sense of fashion and no fashion at all. It was so frustrating to watch even their relationship was such a mess apart from their friendship. Hope so netflix don't release such drama good dramas should get recognition not this crap. Was this review helpful to you?
Simple and Easy Watch
The Fabulous: Simple yet Over-Hyped. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely and thoroughly enjoyed the Fabulous until it ended but only because I enjoyed seeing Chae Soo-bin and Choi Minho on a screen together. It felt like a sensory overload seeing them on one screen and as “exes”.I’m going to be COMPLETELY HONEST. The plot of the Fabulous was more about the sexual tension between the leads than the struggles of the fashion world. Even though it was short, I skipped most of the scenes without Chae Soo-bin and Choi Minho together. Other than the scenes where Joseph and Esther were together, everything else was completely skip worthy. I would honestly just watch again for the chemistry between the leads and the pure visual of the two. I honestly wouldn’t have watched if it was anyone but these two.
The cinematography was good, the execution was good and so was the acting/casting but I genuinely think the thing that killed made the Fabulous unfabulous was the pure fact that there was no actual content. The plot was empty and there really wasn’t much going on anytime. So much time went toward the FL’s relationship status and the frustrations and her suitors and less time went into the point that the Fabulous was TRYING to preach.
If the Fabulous had spent more time on the struggles of the fashion industry instead of focusing on the romance, this drama would have been a sure fire hit. Sadly, it was missed and opportunity and misplaced potential because whoever wrote the script and the drama itself missed the mark on what points to hit the hardest and what points to keep minimal.
Again, not a horrible watch but if you want to watch this drama without hurting your expectations, just pretend thst this drama is about the leads trying to get together. That’s quite literally what it is.

An easy-to-consume Slice of Life
It's a pretty direct slice-of-life drama that doesn't necessarily have a specific plot, but rather focuses on showing how a group of four friends, who work on the same industry, work to try and find their way up in society. It's not too big of an inspiration piece but it's a healing one that sympathizes with workers who may be feeling the same things in their own pacing and their own line of work. It's also even warmer since they subtly flash back to when they were college students, the origin of their friendship, to where they are at now. I think the biggest picture of the drama too is, as they have said, the passion the four friends have towards their line of work, and the industry they are in - the Fashion industry. While it does highlight this specific industry, I also think it's also very much applicable to other industries working people are in and the passion they have towards their kind of work. It gives credit to people behind the scenes of things that people don't normally see or appreciate. And I think it could be the same to workers behind other big movements of small and big companies they work for !! ^^Was this review helpful to you?
Where Dreams Come True
Firstly, I personally enjoyed watching. Was it the most incredible character and story development? Definitely not, but it was a story of personal growth and maturity - the true definition of a slice of life following the lives and careers of four friends in the fashion industry. An extremely chill, easy, and stress-free watch, so if you’re looking for something to wind down and not have to focus too much, this is the k-drama for you. There are a couple of things I believe viewers need to accept or understand before watching this k-drama (which I believe are some of the reasons people didn’t like this show). Firstly, accepting that this k-drama is set in a very privileged world of fashion. There are moments you’ll find the characters are beyond privileged, but also remember in light of the stress-free environment - these main characters don’t have the usual traumatic backgrounds most k-drama main protagonists have. Secondly, “dating” is very different in South Korea. In Korea, people usually “date” and then choose to label later as boyfriend/girlfriend. You’ll see right off the bat in the first episode why this matters - they were together, but technically not together… it doesn’t really excuse what she did, but I guess at least the k-drama passes it over as if it didn’t happen and it becomes negligible in the “story”. If you can overcome these two barriers, it should be a fairly easy watch!
Overall, it was honestly a very heartwarming watch. I enjoyed watching their lives develop, seeing them achieve their dreams, and watching them support each other 100%. As many others have said, I believe their friendship was the biggest reason this show was worth watching. Without hesitation, they continuously helped each other out. Their friendships with each other were never transactional and none of them ever expected anything in return.
As what others have also said, what this k-drama lacked the most is that there was no solid storyline or plot to follow… this made the k-drama clearly show there wasn’t a strong foundation and it honestly felt like a series of events more than anything. There was nothing developing, nothing that compelled the viewer to keep watching. The only driving factor of this show was the friendship between the four main characters. This k-drama could have been definitely more, but with eight episodes this was probably the best outcome they could produce and I think it was the best outcome. They really only could do so much in terms of character development in eight k-drama episodes.
I personally enjoyed it! Was a super easy watch and I enjoyed watching this slice-of-life strong friend group in a rich privileged fashion industry setting. The casting is also just A+, casting a model to act as a model… Felt like a million dollars watching her model in a k-drama where she’s supposed to be acting… It’s legit.
I would say give it a chance! The best way to gauge if this k-drama is for you is how you feel about the pace and series of events happening in the first two episodes, just know it’ll be the same until the last. Nevertheless, I ended up binge-watching the show in one sitting.

The Fabulous...NOT!
Let's start with what I liked:The friendship between the four main characters was very special. They were each in a different area of the fashion industry. They'd been friends for years and were totally there for each other. Every time one of them needed something or was having a bad day, the others were there. It was a case of, "I can trash talk my best friends all I want, but if you don't treat them right, I'll cut you!"
Chae Soo Bin as Pyo Ji Eun - I love this actress. She is just precious. However, she spent the entire show running from one emergency to another.
Lee Sung Woon as Joseph - I loved him and the character he played. Kind of a genius with self-esteem problems. I loved his interactions with his assistant as well, she did most of the talking to others when he went inside his shell. They'd worked together for a long time and were supportive of each other.
Park Hee Jung as Ye Seon Ho (supermodel) - cold stare, bad attitude, with a strong sense of justice for herself and others. When she stuck up for the younger models, loved it.
I was SO glad this didn't have more episodes. Each episode that I finished, I was ticking it off in my head, anxious to be finished with it.
Happy ending, though it was very lackluster.
That's it. Now, for the things I didn't care for:
Choi Min Ho as Ji Woo Min. I've seen him in other roles, and he was okay, but as the romantic lead here, he left a lot to be desired. I didn't root for him as the lead, he just didn't have enough presence. He did a lot of staring at the FL - were they supposed to be longing looks? He always dropped everything when she needed something, which she didn't really appreciate.
Script. This was a show with ADHD. Too many characters, most of them not likeable. Characters yelling at one another constantly. Was that supposed to relay the stress of working in the fashion industry? Someone was ALWAYS yelling at someone else. Some funny parts, and then it would turn serious. What did it want to be? What was the purpose of Shim Do Young's storyline? He showed up periodically, borderline creepy, and did nothing to advance the story.
Romance. What romance? We got flashbacks of the couple in their happier days. Why did they break up? She had had boyfriend/boyfriends after their breakup, which might be realistic, but, for me, it lessens the bond between the leads, and here, it made her seem very indecisive. I didn't think these two had ANY chemistry with one another. They were great as friends, but nothing more.
I love seeing good stories about friendships, and I did like that aspect of this show, but not much more than that.

Chic and sophisticated
An easy watch. Some overacting, some cliches, some slapstick humour… but overall quite a good watch. The drama focuses more on the friendship between four friends, their ups and downs in their lives and career. Two of them have a complicated relationship - they were exes , then friends, then now he wants to be her bf again. The romance is typical, no butterflies in the stomach moments - but there was one scene where he said he will catch up to her and run full speed. I squealed at that line lol. There was a love triangle, but nothing that would give you angst.
It s good thing the drama is short- only 8 episodes. It’s mainly about fashion, and the quirks behind the scenes. Watch it in between some serious ones and you’ll be fine ;)

Enjoyable watch
Whilst this drama has a feel-good factor, which rises above the entitled, bitchy, bullying, arrogant character-loaded scenes, it lacks a certain direction. From ep1, viewers are thrown into the action, with no lead-in or concept.
What follows are the struggles, aspirations, fears and realisations of 4 close friends; 3 in the fashion industry and 1 who is constantly dragged into it.
The industry is portrayed as it often is; full of mean, bitchy, cruel, ego-inflated nobodies, who think they are somebodies. Rumours that become fact and a very spoilt celebrity.
The worst, for me, were the "influencers". My goodness, if there are people with that much arrogance, I hope they watch this and see how pathetic their repulsive personalities are.
Stylists who are treated like poop by their 'stars', that in turn do the same to others.
Then, however, there is the camaraderie, honesty (for the most part) and support each of the 4 key characters have for each other.
There's a low-key (for 1/3 of it) love triangle, which tbh, never really felt that important. The weak element of the three's previous behaviour and reasonings were so ridiculous I felt no sympathy or otherwise.
This is a very superficial drama. I feel like the writers and director relied on glitz, sparkle and beauty (like Choi Min-ho with his shirt off), clichés and OTT gay characters, to divert from the non-existant plot and incomplete sub-stories.
So why did I enjoy it nevertheless?... because of the happy ending, the feel good factor and a cast that carried it all off as though it were... Fabulous! Glad I watched it.

A short show to binge watch
You know the term "easy to watch", well it applies to this drama. Nothing really angsty happens and the events are so purposefully over-exagerated that you don't take them seriously. I also liked the 10 episodes format, thankfully they didn't drag the scenes too long.Netflix & Chill, follow our characters in their (kinda) daily lives in the fashion industry. I think the acting was good and they portrayed what we believed would happen behind the scenes quite well.
Not really my type of drama but I wanted something light, fun and easy to watch so I can relax by only using half of my brain. That's the show for it.
Would I rewatch it? Not in a million years, but it's good for a first, easy watch.
