Set in Sung dynasty China, the film focuses on three girls - country girl Su Sam, cute Ching Yun and sexy Fanny - sent to Fragrance House, a high-class bordello run by a former prostitute, Kau, who puts the girls through an intimate physical inspection before schooling them in the finer points of sexual techniques.
