This is a movie not worth watching

This is the worst movie I have ever seen.
After the success of the movie Train To Busan, the Korean cinema published the movie Gangnam Zombie, after watching it, I have a few comments as follows:
+ About the actor: The male lead acts well and the female lead acts with an emotionless, expressionless face and maybe she suits the role of a singer more than an actress; and the other characters, their acting is quite normal, nothing special ( 4/10 )
+ About the plot: The name is Gangnam but the context only revolves around a few corners of an old cheap old building. There is no investment in terms of images, nor is the plot. The zombie disguise really asked me what words to use to describe it, the filming was bad, the actors were like 3 cents, the dialogue seems to be somewhere between 2-30 boring sentences, I wonder if the scriptwriter of this movie is long. up to 2 pages? A movie that doesn't have any depth of emotion, it's just like a crap on Web drama for kids. After watching for 15 minutes, my friend Ji Yeon fan turned and said, "How long do I have to endure? :(", you must know how bad it is. Everything will be going very normally until the end. The ending really disappointed viewers like me, a half-hearted ending to the drama. There are a lot of boring bad movies that have gone through my life but Gangnam's fall was such a big shock. stubborn no matter how bad I still have to watch it all to get the best rating, I can get up and go home in the first 10 minutes Honestly to me this is not a movie it just deserves a clip somewhere just online.

How to die on a zombie apocalypse

READ THIS JUST IF YOU WATCHED THE MOVIE FIRST. THERE ARE SPOILERS... AHEAD.







This is a complete and detailed tutorial on how to die while being chased by zombies.

I want to think this is a parody cause I can´t take it serious.

And just to be clear, there is not tag of comedy nor parody on the description.
The genres are "Horror, supernatural" and the tags are "Zombies, Suspense" currently to this date (16/01/2023).

So...

Welcome to the apocalypse.

Steps to follow.

0-Make sure you´re alive.
1-You MUST lack common sense.
2-First leave all doors open and give your back to them.
3-Lure the zombies and leave while they are still gathering so you will find some on your way.
4-Don´t go to the upper floor, there is safe come on, you need some adrenaline.
5-When you find a safe place make sure to take your time and be the hero so you can be fresh meet for them.
6-And last but not less important, when you finaly find your way out, leave it open so your friends can joing the world.

Be ready to die.


This movie has not budget and that´s for sure.

From second 1 it´s clear there was not a lot of money involved in the making of this movie, why?
Here is why:

-The makeup was horrible simple.
-The actor where the worst for this job (zombie actors I mean).
-The camera work was bad too.

This movie is comedy (a bad one) and the worst part is that I think it takes itself serious.

So what the heck did I just watched, i expected more of a Korean zombie movie. But this this is bullshit.
The story is so boring and it feels like all of this would have fitted on a 15 minute YouTube video, then the dialogs are just terrible and just straight up bad.
This feels like one of those American trash parody movies of scream.

Then the actors , I actually like the ml and his bff but the female lead had the same expression 24/7 and the rest where just shallow, best actor by far was that one police guy that got bitten in the hand and even that was 3rd class.
The characters are badly written overall and you just can't build up sympathy for them so their deaths don't hit as much as they , presumably, where supposed to.

And you can feel the low budget production, which ofc happens but then you have to make the best of that what you have and not this crap.

Then the zombies and the make up, like I know Korea has some of the best, if not the best, zombie actors and they can be so terrifying that I have nightmares after Train to Busan, but here I laughed at them like what. AND ALSO WHY HAD THAT ONE ZOMBIE GUY, LIKE THE BOSS ZOMBIE OR WHAT EVET HE WAS, FANGS. LIKE WHY AND WHY THOSE CHEEP PLASTIC FANGS YOU CAN BUY FOR 10$ ON AMAZONE. Some of the wound where decently good make up, like the hand wound of the officer, but the zombies where just not it .

Also what is that ending, and do these characters have like a zero will to live or a normal human mind. Bro hot bit in the leg, bind it up and try to take him to the hospital to get his leg amputated. Also they lack common sense, keep the doors closed for fucks sake.


Okay....okay enough rent about this movie, the fighting music was okay tho I give them that.

Zombie movies dont always have to be serious

I know this movie is clearly a cheap production by the sound effects, the cinematography but because of that it turns out its a comedy/thriller/horror. I liked both leads acting but we can notice the male lead gave his all for this movie (incredible). If people watched this with different eyes (without thinking it will be a casual zombie flick) they're gonna love it. I understand the low rating: cheap zombie movies are very rare and almost unknown because who would watch if none known actors are starring in these? Either way, im probably one of the very few (or only myself) who enjoyed it. I know i have a strange taste and almost rating everything 10/10 😂. Whatever, a sequel would be nice but impossible...

Don't expect too much if you're looking for horror

To be honest, I didn't find the movie as bad as the other reviews, but this is definitely not a horror.
Don't expect frightening scenes or zombies, or very elaborate characters. Those things don't exist here. It's just a few characters trying to survive, in a way that's almost comical.
Honestly, I saw it as a comedy movie, the kind we watch to pass the time, when we don't want to think too much or get agitated... it works. It's almost what you expect when you go to see "Zumbilândia" for the first time. It's good to pass the time.
If you want to watch it, don't wait for a movie like "Train to Busan" or "Alive", because it's not. It's not even intended to make you terrified, let alone the claustrophobic or desperate feeling of regular zombie movies. It got me more laughs than anything, although it scared me once or twice.

Zombies with vampire teeth

I feel pity for zombies after watching this movie. Because it's a shame for them. A minute silent for poor zombies.


Why I watched this movie?

I'm a lover of Korean zombie movies and series and I'd rather Korean version of zombies to American or Japanese versions. So when I first read the title of movie I said I should give it a chance and WHAT A WASTING.

What was the story about and how did it go?

The movie started with a scene that male and female lead are running away from zombies and it goes straight to the main point but after a few minutes the thrill of it vanished and story became so childish. Just a beautiful girl and handsome boy that had a crush on the female lead without any chemistry, kicking zombies and fight with them, falling on the floor and standing up again...

The make up was terrible and zombies were just humans with weird acts and noises. Let me be fair sometimes you could see ketchup around their mouth. Belive me it was the weakest make-up that I've ever seen in a movie especially in a movie with the horror genre about zombies.

But wow this movie represent you a new thing: zombies with vampire teeth. THAT WAS A NEW THING LOL.

What about genres?
Horror: not even a little. A child could afraid me more.
Comedy: it was that akward to make you laugh though yes. (yes but NO!)

Finally watch it or not?
It's not worth watching and it's not about taste. As a person who watched all of the zombie K-drama and K-movies it was just a weak movie in director and actors CV.
Don't give it a chance as you don't give a chance to your ex.

Well uuuummmmm.........

I really don't know where to start with this. I mean it's not your typical zombie movie it wasn't even what I thought it would be. It's kind of cheesy it's not bad but it's definitely not good I only watched it because a lot of people were saying how bad it was and I thought to myself well usually when a lot of people leave negative reviews it's a lot better than what people make it out to be. For once I have to agree with the majority of the people that left reviews or comments. As I always say be your own critic and as much as I love zombie stuff watching this once was enough for me. The ending was kind of goofy and there's a slight cliffhanger where it left it basically the possibility of a second one but I don't think there will be a second movie.

This is just lazy

Normally I would never write a review, but with how bad this movie was. Genuinely I had to make a reviews for this. I had high hopes for this movie, and was shocked how bad it was. I just wanted to say that this has to be one of the worst movies that I have ever watched. Personally I believe they were lazy with the character set up. Why is it that the male lead can only constantly say that he knows Taekwondo as if there is nothing else better about him. Maybe it's just me but personally I don't get the purpose of the rest of the character, because if the whole point of them being there is to just get bitten. Then they are completely useless to the storyline, and I get that this is a movie, but still have some type of character depth.

Another thing is I don't get how you can get piled by a bunch of zombies and not get biten ATLEAST once. I think thats honestly so unrealistic, and to add to the the whole teeth falling out. Their attempt for humour is just straight up bad, it would have made the movvie much better if the male lead did get bitten and was left behind.

The ending is really annoying too, because how dumb do you have to be to leave the that open for the zombies to escape into Gangnam. Potentially suggesting a second movie, but I just believe there is no need for a second movies. If the first one is bad, imagine how worse the second could get. However, I could be wrong, but we will never know.

Let me not talk about the minecraft zombie noises. For a movie made in 2023, you'd think they would have good sound effect, BUT no. I just see it as purely lazy, and cheap to put in MINECRAFT zombie noises instead of having a voice actor.

Half the time I don't even understand what is going on in this show, it's attempt at comedy was bad, the makeup was terrible, the actors are too emotionless., the sound effects are just lazy and the story is all over the place. I have more questions then answers in this movie. It's as clear as day that this movie was made with a very low budget

I do believe that this movie had potential, but that potential was thrown out the window into a dumpster fire. I would not recommend this movie at all. I think the only good thing that came out of this movie has to be the music, and that's it.

So bad it's hilariously funny

Story:Coming from South Korea, a country known for top-tier zombie masterpieces, "Gangnam Zombie" is a massive letdown. The plot is incredibly weak, generic, and filled with ridiculous logic. However, because everything is written and directed so poorly, it becomes strangely entertaining as a comedy. It’s hard to take anything seriously when the script makes no sense.Acting/Cast:The acting is the funniest part of the entire experience. The main leads tried their best, but the extras playing the infected were hilarious. Their "scary" expressions and zombie acting looked like a high school theater project. Instead of feeling terrified, I was just laughing at how awkward they looked.Music/Rewatch Value:The technical side of the movie, including the music and visual effects, feels very cheap and low-budget. The rewatch value is low, unless you want to put it on in the background with friends just to make fun of it together.Conclusion:Overall, it is a very weak film that deserves a 3/10. It completely fails as a horror movie, but succeeds as an unintentional comedy. Watch it only if you enjoy cheesy, poorly-made B-movies that are so bad they become funny.

what the hell was that....

Honestly want to give it a lower rating but i feel bad for the actors and actresses who had to act in this shitshow.

I'm typically an open minded person and try to not rate things too lowly but within the first 5 minutes of the film, i was genuinely shocked at how terrible it was already. i tried pushing through and watched the full thing.

I don't even know where to start..

first of all.. WHY ARE THEY MAKING MINECRAFT ZOMBIE NOISES ?? this is supposed to be a serious drama yet it doesn't seem to take itself seriously at all. i thought it was supposed to be a comedy/parody one but its not. it's tagged in suspense and horror. Going along with what i've previously said, i am TERRIFIED of zombies yet this didn't even scare me one bit. Some of the zombies are smiling ?? and the sfx doesn't look good at all, i understand that could be because of a lower budget but cmon now.. the main zombie literally had vampire teeth AND WHY IS IT FIGHTING ???

Secondly, the acting in this is honestly kind of poor and i'm not sure if it's because of script or the way everything was shot. and when it comes to script overall,, yikes. So this started because of a cat ??? which started because of... covid ?? LOL. not to mention the way the movie starts off in general ?? typically there should be a more suspenseful opening than that but you showcase one of the main characters "dying" within the first minute just to switch it at the end, i suppose it makes sense bc why show all that but it makes no sense how he had all those zombies on him and NOT ONE bit him.

Going back to the plot overall, yikes. so it started because of a cat bite/scratch in which he attacked his partner, he then makes his way into the city to.. break into a shop and eat raw meat..? and when people get close to him he growls at them and hugs the raw meat closer before running away... interesting "zombie" then he runs into the main guy looks at him then walks away ?? i suppose it could be becuase he didnt fully transition yet but still.. also for a girl whos drink got "spiked" she sure knows how to move quick LOL.. and i lost it when they asked "why is he so fast" and its a zombie barely moving at all LOL .. also the phone that got thrown on the floor is completely broken ?? and you cant use the other phone because its locked.. yet there's an emergency sos feature on all phones.. it'd be better if it was just dead or there was no signal or something. also why did no one notice THE AXE ON THE WALL.
