The adaptation will involve a female Japanese college student who runs away to Taiwan and gets involved with a reformed young hoodlum who just got out of jail after five years. Turns out his old gangster boss lost his wife to an illness and has decided to turn over a new leaf and become a legit businessman by starting a bakery that employs all his former gang members. His beloved deceased wife's daughter from her previous marriage is the Japanese girl and she arrives in Taiwan looking for her mom, and ends up living with her step father, who dreams of being a master baker but sucks big time at baking. The entire gang of misfits all live and work together, and heartwarming hilarity ensues.

Hyunhaetan Marriage War is co-production between South Korea and Japan. Dae Cheon and Takako are lovers who decide to get married. However, Dae Cheon's father, who is a fishing boat captain, dislikes the Japanese while Takako's father has an unfavorable opinion of Korea. So Dae Cheon teaches Takako how to talk in a heavy, folksy Korean accent and tells her to limit what she says to his father to only four words. He then introduces Takako to his father under the name "Choi Do Ja", which is a girl's name in Korea. Thinking that Takako is Korean, his father approves of their marriage. But later on, Dae Cheon's father learns that Takako is Japanese and becomes infuriated...

Rin is moved by the onigiri Taiga serves her, and her hunger and tiredness are gradually satisfied. Taiga is captivated by Rin's smile as she eats them deliciously. And the moment their eyes meet, an irresistible thrill flows between them.
Each episode is a separate story featuring one theme -- "Happiness", "Tragic", "Metropolis", and "Cartoon". Lei Zi Hou, Kelly and John will be entangled in a love triangle in the "Tragic" theme. Chrystal is Oscar's boss in the "Metropolis" theme. The "Happiness" theme will be featuring Linda and King as a pair. In the last "Cartoon" theme, a supporting character will help different couples. * Filming for the drama took place in Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and Japan.
