Why did the writer have to do this to poor, sweet Fang Yin???? There is no plot purpose to this other than to trigger us viewers emotionally to hate Duke Xue & his cronies even more. But do we really need more reasons? We already know he's willing to kill children - even his own family. I guess it's to also make us now hate Zhou Yin Zhi, but even that could have been accomplished without this! I'm so upset that the writers did this cheap emotional plot device. But I will commend the production of the scene. The camerawork. The rain. The blood. The music. All three actors were spot on - especially Bai Lu. Wow, the grief and despair on her face were so real.` Definitely one of the more heart-wrenching death scenes I've seen recently.

Truly, I think Ning'er deserved to get some time to consider the proposal(?) before she decides. I agree with her. I understand Xie Wei was anxious too but think about it, he wants to annihilate Xue Family in the near time so where does wedding fit into this timeline? Myb after he successfully do that but how long wld that be? Humph! I saw through Xue Shu's trick, she did something to worsen the Emperor's health. It's not a surprise since her father also suggested to do the same to the Dowager Empress. NO NO NO NO FANGYIN NO NO PLEASE. I'M SCARED. ZHOU YINZHI I HOPE YOU DIE WITH THOUSANDS OF PAINS ACCOMPANYING YOU!!! Why both of them hv to bicker over the trivial things? Like can't they trust each other? What I understand is Ning'er was worry about him so that was why she suggested for him takes back the dagger. But I think XW was being sulky coz she didn't decide to marry him. Why Xie Wei and Zhang Zhe can't help to fight too? Was there a rules that a scholar can't master martial arts? Thank good ness Chen Ying was beside Official Gu, stopping him for being killed by Duke Xue. Why Fangyin why? You shld let him go omg he will be caught and die anyway. Aghhhhhhhhh it's so frustrating :(. My poor baby Lyu Xian T-T. It's not easy for him to like someone. Why why why you do this to me??

It never rains but it pours. Sadly not everyone survived the evil doers. Luckily there was punishment doled out to those that deserved it.
