"Visitors on the Icy Mountain" is famous for its theme song "Why Are the Flowers So Red," which was adapted from a Tajik folk song. Set in the summer of 1951 on the Pamir Mountains of Xinjiang, the lives of soldiers and civilians on the frontier are threatened by spy organizations. Female spy Gulibar disguises as foreign bride Gulandam. Her arrival brought back soldier Amir's sad memories of his childhood sweetheart Gulandam, allowing her to get close to him. This unusual move caused platoon leader Yang to be on high alert. Before long, he exposes Gulibar and wipes out enemies at the sentry post.
