The story is set in a part of Southeast Asia where several serial murders have taken place over a period of time. According to the surveillance footage, the culprit is a man wearing a golden mask. The various suspects arrested as a result of a tip-off don't match the DNA and other evidence found at the scene. Li Sha, head of the major crime unit, has a strong sense of justice and is angry and puzzled that the culprit can't be brought to justice.
